A golden light sped towards Ninjago like a comet. That was the golden weapons, and the nindroids that had taken off with it.

Slowly lowering the gold to Borg tower, the nindroids marched in line while the Overlord entered behind them.

He was a black menacing figure with a cosmic purple came flowing behind. From the gold in Ninjago, the evil presence had a golden armor that wrapped around him like if a rib cage was on the outside. Having an almost mid evil looking helmet on his head.

He used a can for he had not yet recovered to full strength. Pythor and Cryptor walked behind.

"Have they melted down the golden weapons?" The Overlord asked.

"Yes, the golden armor will be ready for your evil bidding, MTV Dark Lordship." Pythor bowed.

"Borg's still here?" The Overlord asked, approaching the door to the factory.

"What use is he now that project Arcturus is completed?"

The doors to the factory opened up and in came the Overlord to overlook the melting of the golden weapons and the forging of the armor.

"Behold the beginnings of the Golden Master!" He yelled.

"You're-- you're releasing me?" Borg asked form the ground. His face was no longer covered with metal and tech.

"But what have you done? What now?" Borg asked fearful.

"Now you watch your city and all of Ninjago fall and bow to a new master!" Cryptor said in response.

"Ahah... Looks like you already have that part down." He mocked Borg on the floor.

"How can I stop this?..." Borg asked himself.

"Argh! These Bush just keep coming!" Kai complained blasting fire out glowing green parasites that inhabited the comet they were on. The ninja had no way to return home, as the ship they arrived in was destroyed.

"We are going nowhere!" Kai yelled.

"Nya..." Jay started pulsing his electricity into the air to ward off the bugs.

"There's no way we're getting off this planet. Any last words, my darling?" Jay asked dreamily.

"How about 'It was always you Cole. I won't be able to carry on without you'." The earth ninja said. Jay glared at Cole.

"Now is not the time for that! Can't I care for both of you?" Nya asked over the radio.

"Now, just don't give up!"

"My dad was right, I should've never given up my golden power." Lloyd sighed.

"We could've all been home... Now, the Overlord has all he needs to become the Golden Master."

"Don't say that!" Garmadon interjected.

"I was wrong. You mist trust your friends. Trust yourself."

"He's right, Lloyd." Morro said.

"It was your power, and your choice. You made it on your own."

"They've returned sight he golden weapons." Pixal informed.

"It's only a matter of time."

"Search for the power within, and then realize the greatness within each other." Wu said.

"He's right. We can get off this planet!" Lloyd said, his voice full of hope.

"What about your green power, Lloyd?" Kai asked.

"It's too far. He's never be able to keep his focus that long." Zane estimated.

"No one happens to have a build-your-own-rocket-kit handy, do they?" Cole asked.

"Woah, that's it!!" Lloyd exclaimed.

"You have a build-your-own-rocket-kit?" Jay jumped up.

"No, but we can make one!" Lloyd ran to the ship.

"Arcturus may not fly, but she'll give us all the metal we need." He said.

"And Zane knows the solar system better than anyone--"

"And I've charted the stars before!" Morro said.

"They were always fascinating to look at."

"Kai's fire could weld the missing parts." Zane added.

"Cole's manpower could do the heavy lifting." Kai said.

"Jay has enough electricity and nerd knowledge to make a halfway believable space craft!" Cole exclaimed.

"Haha. Hey!!" Jay yelled.

"...hey... This could actually work!" Jay said.

"Let's fire this thing up and see if she'll fly!" Kai said sliding down the side. Everyone got to work. Getting all the parts needed, playing everything together and after a little, the ninja successfully made a rocket. It was small with just enough room for the ninja.

"Boosters?" Lloyd asked.

"Check!" Kai said.

"Electronics?"

"Check!" Jay nodded.

"Navigation?"

"Check!" Zane and Morro replied.

"How we holding together?" Lloyd asked.

"Bubblegum and a wish." Cole said.

"Let's go home, fellas."

Zane plugged a cord into his power source and...

"They have lift off!" Nya exclaimed with joy. The ground team cheered.

Back in Ninjago city, the ground started to rumble.

"What is this now?" A woman asked.

"Hasn't Ninjago suffered enough already?" She took he son and ran away from a crumbling statue.

In the street, golden posts planted.

"I was trapped in Long Garmadon, then I was trapped in the digiverse." The Overlord towered over the people.

"Now I am free! Bow to your Golden Master!"

He had grown to a large size, and stood on a platform like Borg's old prosthetic legs. The melted gold plated the surface as armor.

The ninja's rocket had enyerd the atmosphere. Fire flew all around them.

"Hold on, we're almost there!" Cole yelled.

"My power source has reached critical mass!" Zane cried out.

"It appears my unlimited energy is in fact limited!"

"Critical mass? Like, it's gonna blow up?!" Jay screamed.

"Don't worry about me. I must use my power to hold our vessel together." Zane said.

"Zane, if the thing's too much for you, you'd better let go." Morro said concerned.

"Hey, listen. Entering the atmosphere means we have air!" Lloyd exclaimed.

"No, it means we're gonna burn up!" Jay said.

"Shut it, Jay! With just enough air, we can now support our elemental shields." Lloyd said.

"Let's try it, guys!"

The little metal rocket exploded and six coloured spheres flew out.

"We tried to warn them, junior." Skales said to his child as they watched the people of Ninjago city flee.

"This time, it is their fight to lose."

"Oh, it's the ninja!" The postman pointed at the spheres in the sky. The elemental shields worked!

"They've returned? But how?!" Pythor shouted.

"If the ninja are what give them hope, then we'll destroy them!" The Overlord said.

"Prepare for battle!" A golden string shot out and covered the outer buildings with a golden light. They started to rise and make a wall around the city. Moving closer together and closed off any entrances.

"I hate to bring this up now, but parachutes would've come in handy!" Cole shouted as he dived towards the ground.

"Friends and family make a good substitute!" Kai smirked.

"Coordinating catch. Be on the lookout!" Pixal sped out in the field below the ninja on a bike

"Kai, go for 56 degrees north, 12 east." Pixal said. The fire ninja aimed for a spot and his jet came flying in the catch him.

"Zane, you're next!" Pix said.

"Don't worry. I got you!" Zane aimed how his hover craft and landed in it.

"Ninja-go!!" Cole and Jay yelled getting into their vehicles.

Lloyd deactivated his shield and summoned his elemental bike. Morro looked behind him, deactivated his shield and landed in the cockpit of his jet.

"Welcome home, ninja." Wu said with Garmadon behind him.

Nya had gotten her samurai mech and the team regrouped.

"Brother, I can't remember the last time we fought together on the same team." Garmadon smiled.

"I have the city in my sights." Zane said.

"Then every second we wait is a second we lose!" Morro said.

"Uh, city? That's not a city! That's an impenetrable fortress!" Jay exclaimed.

"Behind that wall, the Golden master has the power of the first spinjitzu master." Garmadon said.

"Ninja, if you get those message, I've managed to escape and have found refuge within the temple of fortitude here in the city." A message from Cyrus Borg came on the screens of each vehicle.

"Temple of fortitude?" Wu repeated.

"That was left over from the stone wars. The Overlord used it as a stronghold against the power First spinjitzu master."

"It has a sacred seal of protection that can resist the Golden Power. Very clever." Garmadon said.

"If you can make it here alive, I think I have a device that could defeat him." Borg said.

"Then, seems like our goal is set." Morro nodded at Lloyd. The green ninja nodded back.

"Alright everyone, we need to get to that temple. Stay together!" He yelled as he sped off, the team following.

"Kai, you, Nya, Zane, Morro, take the high road." Lloyd said.

"We'll make our own road." Lloyd turned to Jay, Cole, Pix, Wu and Garmadon.

Lloyd jumped through the crashed window of a building and made his way into the city.

"I don't have time for finesse!" Cole said. Using the power of his mech, Cole bursted through the bottom floor of a building and created a path for everyone else.

The sky team started to fly upwards to get over the barrier.

"Uh, is that wall getting higher?" Nya asked, as she was going up, but not reaching the top.

"It appears so. He's altering the battler field." Morro implied.

"It's just like the digiverse. His turf, his rules." Zane said.

The sky team had to step on the gas and fly faster. They got over the top, but not without crushed ruble chasing after them.

Cars were in the air, people were screaming, and the Overlord 's rule seemed only to just begun. He looked up in the sky to see Kai's jet zoom past him.

"The temple's up ahead!" Wu said, acceleration the speed. As Nya flew more into the city, she saved an old woman from a couple of nindroids.

"Two down and moving onwards to the-- aah!" She yelled as her mech got hit out of the sky with a car.

"Ah! Nya's down! I repeat, Nya's down!" Kai shouted.

"I'm going to go back for her!" Cole said.

"No, I'll go back!" Jay insisted.

"Go back, and our probability to male it to the temple exponentially diminishes!" Zane cut in.

"This isn't about numbers, Zane!" Morro shouted.

"It's about family!" Kai finished.

"Everyone else head to the temple, we'll go pick up Nya!" Lloyd set out the plan.

"I've got her." Kai said.

"She's on the corner of Bradley Boulevard and--"

"AAAH!!" And explosion hit and the ninja tumbled out of their vehicles.

"--and somewhere." Kai finished.

"The famous Ninja have time for a meet-and-greet. Let's dance." The Overlord laughed and a giant golden tornado spun into place. It was almost as big as the tornado of creation.

"Change of plans, RUN!" Lloyd yelled. The ninja turned in the opposite direction and ran from the golden spinjitzu.

"Eh-- ack- this is a complete mess." Nya sighed, coughing up dust. She looked to her side to see Cryptor approaching with his own mech.

"Now let's see if the little girl can fight without her big suit."

Garmadon and Wu saw a golden tornado just beyond the streets in reach. The brothers looked at each other worried. The ninja jumped over the fence surrounding the temple and ran under the tori gate. The elder brothers started to close the doors.

The ninja jumped in.

"Brother, now!" Wu yelled. The two closed the doors as Lloyd just jumped in.

"Activate the shield!" Garmadon exclaimed.

Just as the spinjitszu of the Overlord reached the temple, the shield went up, preventing him from coming any further.

"No, no!!"

Nya jumped up and kicked Cryptor. Due to his metal body, he didn't feel that punch pain.

"You kick like a little girl." Cryptor taunted as Nya fell on her back.

"Oh, yeah? How's this for little?!" Nya jumped up and tried to strike, but her attacks were countered everytime.

"Keep shooting! They will break and die busy." The Overlord commanded the army of nindroids.

The temple shook as the residents inside were anxious.

"Borg, the weapon? What is it?" Morro asked.

"You said it could stop him?"

"Ah, it's my most protected secret." Borg smiled.

"What is it?" Jay asked.

"It is well-protected." Zane said. A metal case rose up with four locks and Borg started to unlock it.

"Is it an ancient curse?" Lloyd asked.

"I say fire power!" Kai yelled.

"I hope it rocks!" Cole said excitedly.

"Anything extremely scientific?" Morro suggested.

The case started to open.

"Is it dangerous? Is it alive? Does it come with a manual? Is it a-- a-- a pill?" Jay yelled in shock as the weapon was revealed.

"Ah, not just any pill, a nano pill." Borg answered.

"Yes!..." Morro silently said. The ninja looked at him.

"Thought we were guessing what is was." Morro shrugged.

"For all of time, scientists have been searching for the holy grail of inventions. A diet pill that actually works!" Borg explained.

"Wait until you are old, you'll see why it's so important. Tell me, Borg. Does it work?" Garmadon shook Borg.

"...no. But the nanotechnology inside has an adverse effect. It not only shrinks your waistline, but miniaturizes you as well." Borg replied.

"You've made a shrinking pill?" Zane concluded.

"Let me get this straight. You want us to get close to this guy, who has armor that with the mere tough, would make us toast, and you want us to give him a pill?" Kai asked.

"Precisely!" Borg smiled.

"Brother, do you remember when both of us were on the same team?" Garmadon asked Wu.

"Uh, hey, yeah, old timers, mind paying attention? We're trying to save the world here!" Jay screamed.

"You're right, brother, on the playground when we were kids. Templegate Tigers." Wu said.

"Ha, I threw a mean curve ball, and your stick could thread the needle. We never lost." Garmadon snickered.

"So true. Get us close, Ninja, and we'll give the Golden Master his medicine." Wu said.

"This plan is crazy." Cole said.

"Crazy enough that a team like us can pull it off?" Morro said. The ninja paused.

"It's a plan!" Lloyd yelled.

"Haha! The people are loosing hope!" Pythor laughed at the chaos of Ninjago city.

Golden lines attacked to the tall buildings, creating a spiderweb like shape.

"Uh-- ahh!" Nya grunted as she was thrown against the wall. Cryptor picked her up by her foot and dangled her in the air just above the ground.

"What is that perfume I smell? Fear?" Cryptor teased.

"Actually, it's called Damsel in Distress. But I don't think it suits me." Nya said in return.

"You think you can mock me?" Cryptor shouted.

Nya spotted mindroid walking behind Cryptor.

"Of course. Doesn't everyone? I mean, even Mindroid knows you're short of a hard drive." Nya smirked.

"Mindroid? That little piece of scrap isn't even fit to tighten my bolts. I've met toasters more intelligent than him." Cryptor turned around to a tapping on his back.

Mindroid was standing there and punched the droid general in the stomach. As the two droids we're occupied, Nya snuck away.

"Are we sure this is gonna protect us?" Kai asked. All the ninja had taken old stone armour relics from podiums within the temple.

"If the Overlord's Stone Warriors used this against the First Spinjitzu Master, I see no reason why we can't use it against those exact same powers." Garmadon deducted.

"Here." Zane turned to Pixal.

"You take it."

"No." Pixal replied.

"you are vital to this mission. Don't worry about me." She grabbed Zane's hand.

"I shall see you again." Pixal smiled.

"Zane." Garmadon called.

"Zane, we have to go."

Pixal stepped away from the ninja team and the each slid of their armour. It turned into a lovely silver addition to their gis, it looked brand new.

"Hey! The seal! It's broken!" Lloyd alerted, looking outside. The light blue field around the temple lowered as nindroids came in.

Thankfuly, Nya had taken Cryptor 's battle mech and used it to destroy the attacking nindroids.

"Better late than never! Go get 'em, Ninja!" Nya exclaimed.

The team came in.

"Ninja-go!!" They yelled using their spinjitzu to fight their way through the city.

The got on top of the buildings to travel faster.

"Feels like old times, doesn't it?" Wu asked.

"Yes. It feels good." Garmadon replied.

A crash noise later, and the shingles of a roof were formed in the shape of a hand, it started to attack. The ninja covered their heads, but nothing hit them.

"Phew. This actualy works!" Morro said referring to the armor.

"I could get used to things like this." Cole said.

"Keep going! We have to take the heat off the Senseis!" Jay yelled. The ninja reached one of the golden strings and started to cross it and advance on the Overlord. They were able to break any strings that was blocking the path.

"My powers! They aren't working! They won't stop coming!" The Overlord yelled in anger. The citizens of the city cheered. The ninja had blown their way yo the center of the city and stopped where they stood, at the edge of a building.

"Then attack the people." Pythor advised. Explosions went off, sending flying debris down towards the fleeing people in the streets.

"We have to save the people!" Lloyd yelled.

"We have to get the Senseis closer!" Kai reminded.

"People of Ninjago, follow me!" Slitheraa, a hypnobrai from the serpentine rose out of the sewers and directed the people.

"The snakes are on our side? Great. Now I have seen it all." Jay tapped his head.

"We'll never get close enough." Kai stared upwards.

"We won't need to. Ready to thread the needle, brother?" Garmadon asked.

"Let's show them what old timers can do." Wu said.

Garmadon jumped and bounced up by using one of the strings. Wu jumped up and Garmadon pushed him upwards. Finaly, Garmadon threw the pill up and Wu hit it with his staff, straight towards the Overlord's mouth. Time seemed as it slowed. When the pill reached within range.... Pythor jumped in and swallowed it.

The team paused. That was unexpected.

Pythor coughed and suddenly shrank.

"AAAH!! What's happening to me?" His voice became higher.

"No!" He yelled as he was chased away by the falcon.

"That was it?!" The Overlord yelled.

"That was all you've got?" The golden strings grab ahold of everyone, everyone except for Zane.

Nya, Pixal and Borg were at the top of a different building watching in distress.

"The armor, why isn't it working?" Cole shouted struggling to break free.

"Because your time is over!" The Overlord exclaimed triumphantly.

Zane flipped back and pulled his mask down. A determined look spread across his face. He had a plan. And he will stick to it.

"Support me, friends, for one last time."

The ninja turned to look at Zane and knew the first part of what he wanted to do. They flipped upsidedown as Zane used their feet as platforms to jump on. Zane jumped high and reach to the Overlord's armour. Zane landed between to edges and grabbed the armor. The power immediately began to overwhelm Zane.
