After jumping from one elevator to another and avoiding death. Again. The ninja took deep breaths as the elevator they were one slowly rose up.

"Looks like we just quit our day jobs." Cole said looking at his new folded up gi.

"Oh, my gosh! Our students!" Jay exclaimed.

A door opened to a factory. It had multiple machines working on what ever they were. Everyone, lead by Pixal walked in.

"And this factory line where—This is will be the end of your tour." The female bot stopped in her tracks. Her eyes turned red and her tone of voice sounded less life-like and more one pitched.

All of the machines started to close in on the group.

Sensei raised his staff at Pixal, and dodged as dangerous machined parts closed in.

"Stay back and stay together!" Nya yelled as she kicked a robot away.

"This way! There's a way out!" Brad pointed to the left side of the factory.

The boy started to run and every other kid followed.

"No! Do not break formation!" Nya called after them. The robots on the track started to attack.

"Why don't boys ever listen to me?!" Nya groaned.

Nya and sensei ran to protect the kids. Nya broke a machine and that leat to a cutting blade to break and clear away. After Nya almost got crushed, sensei helped her back to the group.

A battle was ahead.

The ninja had all changed into their new gis. They had designs on them that were tailored to fit their elements.

"Heh. I gotta say it. I love the new threads." Jay said admiring his new fit.

A few robots came across the ninja's path.

"Oh, yeah? Two can play at this game?" Kai jumped forwards and pointed his techno blade at the bots.

.....nothing happened.

"What's with these things? How do we turn them on?" Kai flailed around.

Zane spotted a cord connecting the lights.

"Here, let me try." He hit the weapon against the cord. It didn't break.

"It's not sharp. Why even call it a Blade?" Zane cried.

The ninja backed up when more robots blocked their path. One shot a laser, which missed and broke the window behind the ninja.

"Oh snap." Jay said.

The ninia flew out of the window but luckily, Cole was able to grab ahold of a hose then the others grabbed onto the black ninja.

"Ready to crash he party boys?!" Cole yelled as they swung towards a window.

Unexpectedly, they did not break through the window and the ninja just slammed into the glass. By some very lucky chance, all four boys landed on a window cleaning platform. The bot cleaning turned to see the techno blades and it's eyes turned red.

Cole kicked it.

"You fool. You tried to give them the only thing that could defeat me and thought I wouldn't notice?" The eyes of the Overlord's spirit form traveled from one screen to another in Cyrus Borg's office.

"I'd get rid of you if I didn't still need you. Don't think to ever betray me again." The evil virus threatened.

"Of course not, I promise. I promise!" Mr. Borg said in fear.

"A promise isn't good enough." The Overlord, using multiple machine parts, grabbed hold of the genius inventor.

"No! No! Don't. Let me go! No, please, no more." He cried. Cyrus was pinned down while the machined worked.

"And that's when Borg said he was listening." Kai explained his suspicions.

"Do you really think it's the Overlord?" Jai asked as everyone used the platform to make their way down.

"But how? We all saw Lloyd defeat him." Cole reminded.

"Defeat, yes. But can he be destroyed?" Zane questioned.

"I don't know... But we can!" Jay turned around screaming as an attack fighter targeting them.

Zane had an idea.

"Cole, throw me!"

"Excuse me?"

"THROW ME!!"

Cole threw Zane at the aircraft and the nindorid grabbed hold of the back. He made his way up when he drew his techno blade. A glowing light blue addition appeared at the tip of the blade. Zane jumped up and stuck the jet with the tool.

After a bright, crystallizing flash, Zane appeared to have take over the hover and claimed it as his own. The ninja stood shocked.

"What just happened?" Kai asked.

"The Techno Blade must've hacked the hower-copter's system! Zane controls it!" Jay exclaimed.

"Cooooooool." They all said like little boys.

Speaking of little boys

All of the kids we're still in peril in the factory.

"Run! Jump! And kick!" Nya yelled as she fought.

Sensei threw his staff at one of the laser machined and it broke an incoming blade.

"Everyone! Get to the window!" He instructed.

The kids ran to a conveyer held that went upwards to their destination. They made their way to the top but there was an incinerator at the end.

"How do we stop it?!" Nya yelled.

From outside, the ninja, all on Zane's new hovercraft, saw the peril inside the factory. Nya was desperately trying to work the controls. Eventually, Zane just shot them and the door to the incinerator closed.

"We need to get everyone to the bus!" Kai yelled. They had brought the window cleaner platform and all the kids jumped on.

"I have an idea!" Kai said.

"Come on kids! Jump on board!" Cole guided.

Nya was about to jump out when--

"This will be the end of your tour."

Nya turned around. Pixal had caught her foot but the samurai quickly kicked her off and ran.

"Come one! She's one of them! We have to go!" Nya told Zane. The ice ninja sighed as he piloted away.

"Get to the academy as fast as you can, sis. We need Morro and Lloyd." Kai said, seeing Nya onto the bus with the students.

"What about you guys?" Nya asked.

"We must protect the people." Sensei said.

All over, the tech started to go rogue and attack the civilians for no reason. It was chaos. For real. Every. Single. Piece. Of. Tech.

A patrolling not attacked through bus and started to tip it over.

"I'm on it!" Cole shouted.

"Ninja-goo!" Cole jumped over the bus and pulled out the bot's wireings.

"No one calls me "pedestrian."" Cole said.

"I always said Mr. Cole was my favorite!" The kids cheered and clapped. Nya stepped on the gas and drove back to the school.

"Alright, so these Techno Blades can hack into their systems!" Kai concluded.

"So, what do you say we do a little hack-attack?" Jay suggested.

"Zane, Kai, you take to the skies. I want Cole and Jay on the ground. And I'll do what I can for the people." Sensei Wu instructed.

"Heh-heh! Anyone else feeling all tingly inside?" Cole said all giddy.

"Ninja-goo!" The team split up.

Zane flew up and Kai rested on top of Zane's jet. Kai jumped onto another jet coming up beside him. Another, faster jet came spreading up behind.

"Oh, I want that one!" Kai jumped up as but passed overhead and hacked it!

It turned all red with fire patterns all over.

Kai stared at the controls in front of him. What now? So many buttons. What-- how-- huhh?!?!?!

"Aw, seriously?!" Kai shouted frustrated at the jet. Kai had accidentally fly height above the clouds.

"Okay, not that button."

"So you've figured out how the Techno Blades work." A hologram of Cyrus Borg showed up.

"What?!" Kai yelled.

"You must know, they are far, far more important than you think." The hologram said.

Kai leaned to see in front of him.

"You mind explaining --"

"This is a prerecorded message, but I can tell you that a few weeks ago, we discovered a virus laying dormant in our system. The Overlord." The message in formed.

"Overlord?" Kai repeated.

"You have to get the Techno Blades out of the city. Because once he knows you have them, he'll never let you leave. I've also given you new outfits to help block the facial recognition software."

Kai spotted three other jets heading right for him.

"Uh, great. Style and function. Ugh. Wanna wrap it up? I'm a bit occupied at the moment." Kai said dodging the opposing jets' attacks.

"Had I known this would happen, I would never have built where the Overlord was destroyed. Goodbye, Ninja, and good luck." The hologram message disappeared.

Kai finally flew back down and towards the city. The missiles sent after him were just missing and exploded in the air.

"Can you giys handle that?!" Kai yelled, dodging missiles from below.

"On it!" Jay jumped and onto one of the patrolling bots. He then jumped over and to a car and hacked into it with the techno blade. It terned electric blue sixth lighting bolts all over it.

"Ha! I love it!' Jay yelled. He drove around the corner and blew up two other bots.

"Hey, Cole, need a hand with those security mechs? Or maybe just some old-fashioned artillery fire?" Jay yelled.

"I think I got a handle on it!"

Cole jumped up onto one of the mechs and hacked it. The mech turned to Cole's command and Cole immediately used it to blow some stuff up. By stuff, I mean other mechs.

"Stomping robots to robot stomper!" Cole yelled and waved to Jay.

Nya ran down the hall as fast as she could. She reached the end of the hall and slid to a stop.

"Lloyd! Morro! The Ninja are in trouble!" Nya slammed the door open against the wall.

"Oh, hi Nya." Dareth, who was also a teacher was sitting on a chair watching the TV.

"Can you believe it? I'm watching my favorite game show with the jujitzu dogs, you know, when bang, the cable just dies on me." Dareth said pointing too the screen.

Nya ran right past him and busted open another door.

"Aah!" This time for sure, Morro and Lloyd were in it, startled and fallen over.

"Nya? What happened?" Morro asked the distressed girl.

"You need to get too the city!" Nya yelled.

"What? Really? We just got back!" Lloyd complained.

"Yeah, Nya." Morro started.

"We really need some rest after--"

"Really! You need to get to the city! The others are getting attack ked by the robots and the people are in danger!" Nya said. The brothers looked at each other.

"Yeah, okay. To the city we go." Morro sprung up.

"Yep, I'm flying, come on let's go!" Lloyd said running outside.

Lloyd ran out and immediately casted his dragon. Lloyd her his hand out and helped Morro on. The two flew off towards the city.

"...I have some major questions." Lloyd said pulling on his golden hood.

"I do too, I guess we have to get there first before we explode them with questions." Morro said pulling on his ninja hood.

It didn't take long, having a golden dragon and all, but the two soon reached the city. In one of the squares, a the whole team was cornered by every technological advancement in the city.

"There's too many! We'll never get out!" Cole yelled

"Keep fighting. They'll have to run out of batteries at some point." Kai implied.

"Well, I'm not so sure about that." Zane said starting to worry.

A flash of light. Then a gust of wind.

All the machines stopped in their place after the light then fell back due to the wind. The was golden power left all over the streets.

"Lloyd! Morro!" The ninja cheered.

"Ninja versus robots?" Lloyd smirked.

"Dare I ask?"

"Really. What happens when we leave for a while? This." Morro crossed his arms.

"You guys are a sight for sore eyes." Kai said as everyone ran to greet them.

"So you couldn't help yourself. The Golden Ninja, we meet again." A menacing pair of eyes showed up on a big screen.

"The Overlord...?" Morro looked back at the others. The four ninja and sensei nodded. Lloyd turned to face the screen.

"Overlord. I defeated you once, I'll defeat you again." Lloyd declared.

"Oh, I don't want to fight. I just want your power." The Overlord said. The robots sorta sicked in the golden power left by Lloyd on the streets.

"What the--" Morro took out his staff that he never forgot about. Lloyd raised his stance.

"No, Lloyd, your power is only making them stronger." Sensei stopped him.

"But how do we fight?" The golden ninja asked.

"We don't. We need to get you and the Techno Blades out of the city." Kai said.

"I don't think he'll let us leave." Cole looked at the surrounding bots.

"I have an idea, but I don't have much time to explain. Listen close." Sensei pulled the team in.

"Ninja-go!" The plan was set. Everyone split their ways with spinjitzu.

"I hope this works." Kai said from in his jet.

"At 4.2 percent chance of success, I'd say our hope is slim." Zane said.

"That's why it's called hope, Zane!" Jay said.

"The techno blades... Find them!" The Overlord growled.

The cameras all over the city scanned and ran over sanarios.

Cole and Jay had already made their way outside the city boarders.

"Cole! Jump on!" Jay called. Cole's mech and Jay's car combined to become faster.

The cameras in the city picked up Sensei Wu running from building to building with a cloth wrapped in his hands.

"Techno Blades, 92 percent confirmation."

"Sensei. The Sensei has them." The Overlord sent the bots to corner sensei. When sensei was cornered with no where to go, Wu unraveled the cloth to reveal nothing inside.

"No, No! No! Where are the Blades? That old fool will pay dearly!" The Overlord reviewed the camera footage to see that when sensei was jumping to another roof, he dropped the blades in Kai's jet.

After circling and distracting most of the bots until Kai got the blades, Morro flew (with his glider) back to Lloyd and landed on the golden dragon.

"We have to go back for him!" Lloyd shouted.

"We will, but only when you are safe." Kai said.

"He wants these weapons, and for some reason, he also wants you. Remember, this was Sensei's plan. They can't break him." Cole reminded.

"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has yet to come. We need to worry about today." Zane said.

"You said it, Zane." Jay agreed.

"We will come back to New Ninjago City. And when we do we'll be ready." Zane said determined.

"But for now, we find some place safe to hide. They'll be looking for us." Kai said.

"But-- Morro?" Lloyd turned to the wind ninja. Morro took a deep breath.

"I follow sensei's instructions no matter how much I hate them." He said.

"There's a place we need to go first."

Pixal was in the factory. She pulled up her scan of Zane and modified it to add different parts.

"Upgrade complete." She said as she turned to the rest of the factory... With so, so, so many nindoids being made. This was the start of a new battle.
