《Brother of Wind {book five: Possession}》Chapter 19 THE FINALE

The Preeminent was now in Ninjago. Ghosts around around a mock as the realm crashed in. It was like a sphere with giant tentacles all over and a opening in the middle. Man, discribing this thing is strange.
"Lloyd couldn't destroy the Realm Crystal. The Preeminent has arrived." Wu said.
"But where are the boys?" Misako asked.
"We need to evacuate everyone out of this town. Like, now!" Ronin said, holding the Sword of Sanctuary he grabbed when it was dropped.
"Whoa!" Cole exclaimed, riding up on his bike.
"What is that thing?" Kai asked.
"She's the Preeminent. The physical manifestation of the entire Cursed Realm!" Zane shouted.
"I know one thing, she ain't pretty." Cole said.
"Ew, gross! I'm about to lose my lunch." Jay gagged.
"If we can't stop that, we might lose Ninjago!" Nya exclaimed, after a change into her own gi. She used water to cut off of on the tentacles but that was just one of many.
"Fire!"
Lightning!"
Ice!"
"Earth!"
The ninja each had their turn to attack, but the Preeminent was unaffected.
"She didn't notice that." Zane said.
"Oh, I hate unbeatable creatures." Jay pouted. Nya spun around.
"Where's Morro?!" She shouted.
Morro ran on the planks just above the water, his staff in hand. He slid down and brought his hand up, cutting a Preeminent tentacle with his wind, getting back up right after.
"Hurry on board!" Ronin directed the civilians onto the boat.
"This way!" Wu exclaimed.
"What happened to the ninja?" Misako asked.
"We better hope they're alive, that thing won't stop." Ronin said. A tentacle wrapped around Misako's waist and listed her onto the air.
"Misako!" Wu exclaimed, grabbing his staff and running on the roofs to get her. They almost grabbed each other's hands but Misako was pulled further away.
Morro ran fast into the scene and used his staff to cut the hold. And in the air, Morro used his wind to get Misako down safely.
"Thank you, Morro." Misako said. Wu and Misako joined Ronin.
"Start the paddle on this thing!" Morro shouted.
"Where's Lloyd?" Misako asked.
"Do you want to worry or no?" Morro asked.
"I'm his mother. It's my job to worry about him!" Misako exclaimed.
"Okay, well he's not here." Morro turned around and scanned the area.
"And neither is who I'm looking for." He ran off.
Zane saved a woman from the Preeminent's hold.
"Hurry, get to safety!" Zane exclaimed. Nya pushed back the ghosts from around.
"Get to the ship, everyone!" She shouted. Kai threw his Aeroblade that he got back when Ronin came. He sliced off a tentacle.
"You cut one off, two grow back!!" Kai shouted.
The tentacles wrapped around Jay's car and threw it in the air just after Jay jumped out.
"If there ever was a time to unlock your True Potential, sis, it's now." Kai said.
"Let me just flip the switch. Oh yeah, I'm not a Nindroid. I don't have a switch!" Nya yelled at her brother.
"If Ghosts can't withstand Deepstone, perhaps the same goes for the Preeminent. But we'll need a larger dose." Zane said.
"My bike's made of Deepstone. How about I jam it down her gullet? Cover me!" Cole drove back.
Hs found a ramp and looked to his target.
"Like cake? How's this for your pie hole? Ninja-go!!" Cole shouted, driving across roofs and jumping off his bike as it drobed right into the Preeminent. It made an agitated scream.

"Thanks, Cole. You only made her madder!" Jay shouted as Cole landed down.
"And there goes a perfectly good bike." Cole sighed.
"If Lloyd's inside that thing, we have to get closer!" Kai exclaimed.
"Yeah, easier said than done!" Jay exclaimed.
"Ninja-go!!" Morro shouted, using his spinjitzu to quikcly move through a path while still being able to fight. He stopped his spinjitzu and moved his staff back, getting rid of an attacking ghost. Morro looked around.
"Argh. Not here." He said annoyed.
"You cant keep running away from everyone." Morro sighed.
"And you, need to WAKE UP!!"
"AHH!" Lloyd jolted upright. It was cold. And it was dark. Lloyd knew this place. It was the Cursed Realm. He's inside it. And he know's he can't stay for long.
Lloyd got up and ran. He didn't know where, just forwards. He passed two familiar faces, but he didn't think much of it.
Lloyd reached a brighter section, a dip down. Like an empty camber with only one thing chained up in the center. Lloyd's eyes widened.
"Dad!!" Lloyd yelled, jumping down carefully.
"...son?" Garmadon, Lloyd's father looked up. The blonde ran in to hug his father.
"My son." Garmadon sighed hapily.
"I'll get you out of here, Dad." Lloyd turned to the chains holding hid father's arms.
"There's no use. These chains will not break." Garmadon said. Lloyd hesitantly let go.
"Do you know where you are?" Garmadon asked.
"The Cursed Realm." Lloyd said.
"You must not stay long, for--"
"I'll start loosing my breath, I know." Lloyd looked down.
"The one they sent went through it for years. Neran--"
"Neran? So that's his name. I've heard word of that child. Though never his name." Garmadon said. Lloyd looked down for a brief second again.
"Father, what do you do if someone you trust betrayed you?" Lloyd asked.
"I--... I wouldn't know. I've always been the one to betray others." Garmadon replied, shame in his voice.
"Why?"
"Because that's what Morro experienced. Neran and him were best friends as kids, but Neran used Morro. I can tell Morro doesn't want to defeat him, more like grab his hand, I know because of a wisteria link we have." Lloyd said.
"You know, the tale of two boys? That's a prophecy about Morro." Lloyd started to speed up his breathing and words.
"Son, slow down." Garmadon halted Lloyd.
"Sorry, it's just I don't know if I can do anything. I'm not the green ninja, I don't have the gi." Lloyd said.
"It was never the colour of the gi that made you who you are. It was the color of your heart." Garmadon said. Lloyd placed his hand over his chest.
"Don't give up." Garmadon smiled.
"I won't, Father." Lloyd said.
You must leave here and destroy the Preeminent. Save Ninjago. Save the Realms." Garmadon said.
"But if I destroy it, it could destroy you." Lloyd said.
"Whatever happens to me, wherever I am, I will always be with you." Garmadon assured.
"There comes a time when every boy must become a man. What sort of man, is up to him." He said.
Lloyd tapped his head.
"He's looking for him." Lloyd uttered.
'Don't worry. I will come.'
. . .
"I thought you were gonna get closer?" Nya said.
"You don't think I'm trying?" Kai threw his Aeroblade and ducked.
"It's too late. We have to get to the ship and protect the people." Wu informed.

But what about Lloyd and Morro?" Jay adked.
"This is what Lloyd would've wanted. Morro, too." Misako said.
"To the ship, but we're not leaving anyone else behind!" Kai shouted.
"Whoa!" Zane cried as the Preeminent grabbed the ice mech, ejecting the ninja out. Zane landed on his feet and stepped back.
Follow me!" Wu guided two people to the boat.
"That's all of them. We need to get this ship to sea to put as much water between us as possible." Wu saw the ninja.
"No problem." Ronin cut the rope.
"I need this!" Morro shouted, running in and hitting Ronin's hand up, making him let go of the sword. The Sword of Sanctuary was falling down, then Morro caught the hilt with a back hand grip. He used a stabbing motion to throw the sword to the side and it landed in the wall of a building right before a ghost's face. Neran. He looked at the people by the boat.
Morro narrowed his gaze and took his staff.
"Neran, let go of that crystal." Morro said.
"I'll get him!" Kai shouted.
"You take care of the people!" Morro shouted. Kai jumped back.
"Okay."
Neran grabbed the Sword of Sanctuary with his left hand as the crystal was in his right. Morro ran in first, his staff down low like he's running with a katana. He swung up, Neran stepped back and spun around, drading the blade with him as a counter attack.
"Is this as fast as it goes?!" Nya asked the driver.
"It's a paddle steamer not a rocket ship." The driver replied.
Morro slashed his arm out with his staff, creating a slash of wind cutting through the space in between the boys. Neran was pushed into the wall of a building.
"Uh, déjà vu." Morro sighed.
The wind ninja jumped up to get a height attack, but Neran raised the Sword of Sanctuary in return to block. Morro used the Sword as an axis to spin his staff down and hit the Sword of Sanctuary out of Neran's hand and it landed in the planks. Neran quickly kicked Morro back and he fell to the ground.
A green light surrouned Morro and Lloyd jumped into the scene. He had new green, white and silver robes. Lloyd pulled the sword out of the planks.
"Oh, you're back." Morro sighed standing up.
"Yep! Now let's go!" Lloyd exclaimed.
"Neran, let go of the crystal."
"It looks like he got his father's robes." Wu took note.
"Ronin, get to the ship and protect the people." Lloyd said.
"Ninja, supports-- out of the picture!" Morro added.
"Sink that thing!" Lloyd and Morro shouted.
Ugh, why didn't we think of that earlier?" Jay asked.
"That's why they're the leaders." Cole said.
Neran looked like he was mouthing words as more ghosts' eyes were on him.
"Yes you can!" Morro shouted, charging forwards, Lloyd not far behind. Neran pointed the crystal down and jumped into the portal that appeared. Lloyd glanced at the blade and turned around, swinging the sword. Neran had landed behind them and grabbed Lloyd's hand, twisting it and ripping the sword out of Lloyd's hand. Neran kicked low and Lloyd fell down.
"You just open your hand!" Morro shouted, bringing his staff forwards and locking in.
"It's not that easy!" Neran exclaimed.
"From a literal point, it is!" Morro shouted. Neran reached his right hand forwards and grabbed Morro's staff away. Lloyd reached his hand and intercepted, taking Morro's staff, pulling it back and spinning it around.
Lloyd clashed once with Neran and Morro stepped around, Lloyd handed the staff back to Morro.
The four others use airjitzu to get to the city and threw their Aeroblades to take out the support.
"Protect the Preeminent!" Soul Archer shouted as the realm was dropping into the water.
Neran stepped away from Lloyd and Morro and used the Realm Crystal to get out of there. Morro and Lloyd nodded at each other then jumped in.
They were falled through the air of the Underworld. Morro threw his staff like a lance and knocked the crystal out of Neran's hand. He landed amd dropped the sword and ran straight for the crystal. Morro gave Lloyd and him a soft landing, Lloyd grabbed the sword as he ran. Neran made another portal. All three jumped through.
. . .
The ghosts started to take the buildings off the planks and attaching it to the Preeminent, acting as armour and protecting it from water.
"Just when you thought you've seen it all." Jay said.
"Let's hope it can't swim." Wu said.
"We need more speed." Ronin ran.up to the conductor's place.
I've gotta help the ninja." Nya jumprd off the boat, shooting water thay acted as jets to perpell her through the air.
Let me." Ronin pushed the captain out of the way and pushed to full speed.
"We have to destroy that thing before it reaches the ship." Kai exclaimed. The Preeminent threw a house, making a large wave right before the boat.
It's okay. The ninja will stop it." Misako comforted a child.
"Pixal has detected over five hundred Ghosts aboard this walking fortress, and the number is climbing." Zane said.
"If we have to destroy this thing one ghost at a time, so be it." Cole said.
"Aargh! Then I want a front row ticket." Kai climbed onto the Preeminent.
"Ninja-go!!" The ninja flrew up.
"Hey, guys. Need a hand?" Nya laned dowm and got rid of the nearests attacking ghosts.
"Thanks, Nya." Cole said. Wryath, remember him? Yeah, the first ghost, wrapped Zane in his chained sickle.
"Got ya."
Lightning!" Jay shouted, shooting his power at the chain to break before Zane could be harmed.
Knock, knock!" Nya knocked on wood.
"Come on in. Let's rock this house." Kai opened the door, the ninja all came in.
Doctor, it appears our patient needs to have his knee put on ice." Jay smiled.
"I'm happy to help." Zane froze the entire room with his elemental power. The Preeminent cried out, stepping forwards into the water but having to withdraw.
Yes! She's unable to follow us to sea!" Wu exclaimed. However, the Preeminent tried again and succeeded.
"I thought Ghosts can't stand water. How come it's still after us?" Misako asked.
"Have enough Ghosts at your disposal, I guess you can pretty much do anything." Wu sighed.
"Throw anything we don't need off the ship. We need to go faster! Much faster!" Wu shouted. The people did as instructed.
. . .
The three boys tumbled onto the mountain in the realm of Madness. Neram dropped thr crystal again and helped himself up to get it.
"By the name of my father, do you every stop running!!" Morro shouted, pulling Lloyd to his feet. They jumped into another portal.
This time they were in the air of the Cloud Kingdom.
"No, we must not dabble in their affaires now." One elder monk said to the young one that helped the ninja earlier.
"This is for them to decide."
Lloyd grabbed onto Neran's arm where the cloth was tied around. Neran swung his arm back, Lloyd was pushed further away. Neran grabbed the Sword of Sanctuary out of Lloyd's hand before the green ninja wad able to fly too far. Morro reached out his staff for Lloyd to hold. Another portal they go.
"AAHH!" They all shouted, landing on their backs in a new realm with an orange sky with the sun lighting. The crystal was dropped again, Neran had bad grip, I guess. Another portal was made.
"Huh? Who are you guys?" The residents of this realm, some kind of anthropomorphic animals, were watching the sun.
"Hi, sorry. Stop think about the sun rising and run, Morro!" Lloyd shouted.
"Right, sorry!" The wind ninja exclaimed. In another portal they go. Portal hopping sucks.
. . .
"Can we go any faster?" Wu asked.
"It's on full power." Ronin said.
"Head for that fog bank for cover!" Misako directed.
Kai, watch out!" Nya shouted, spraying water to intercept one of Soul Archer's arrows. Kai's foot slipped and he fell backwards.
"Aah!" He screamed.
"I got you!" Cole held his arms out. Kai just passed through him.
"Huh? I guess not."
Ugh, no!" Kai grabbed onto a plank just before the water. Keep in mind, they were basically out at sea.
"I can't swim!" Kai shouted.
"I can't get wet!" Cole reminded.
Kai fell into the water but held onto a post to keep him close to the big structure. He spotted Soul Archer aiming an arrow at him and Kai went under water.
"You have to come up for air at some time, Fire Ninja." Soul Archer laughed. Kai covered his mouth. He needed air. He resurfaced.
"Kai! Shoot fire now!" Zane shouted.
Fire!"
"Ice!" They both shot their powers at Soul Archer, finally getting rid of this guy who GET'S ON MY NERVES I HATE HIM. :)
Yeah! Fire and Ice make water, nice! And one more Ghost is toast." Jay shouted.
"As iron sharpens iron..." Zane started.
"Brother sharpens brother." Kai finished.
More ghosts spawned out of the Preeminent. Even Soul Archer. Dangit.
"Aw, are you kidding me? Even our coolest moves aren't helping anything!" Kai exclaimed.
"We obviously aren't doing any good here. We need to protect the ship." Nya said.
"Ladies first." Jay motioned.
Ninja-go!!" She jumped off and used her water to glide over the sea onto the boat. The boys followed, using airjitzu.
If we're gonna destroy the Preeminent, we're gonna have to do more." Wu said.
"Speaking of more, we need more fuel. If we turn back now, we'll have just enough to get us to shore." Ronin pointed to the meter. "Otherwise, if we reach Hollow's Trench, we'll be sitting ducks out there."
Hollow's Trench. Do you think it's deep enough to drown that giant thing?" Kai asked, landing on the boat.
"One way to find out. Full steamer ahead!" Wu exclaimed. The Preeminent swung it's arms and broke the paddle off the boat.
"NO!" Cole shouted.
Neran jumped down from the portal, as well as Morro. But no Lloyd. As Neran landed on his feet, Morro dropped to one knee.
"What happened?!" Morro yelled. Neran gripped the realm crystal. Morro ran up to Neran and pushed his staff against him.
"What are you doing?!" Morro exclaimed. Neran pushed the staff away from him.
"You--"
"No, SHUT UP ABOUT ME!" Morro shouted.
"You lied to me!" He cried.
"I didn't want to!!" Neran shouted back.
"It was the only way you would've come!"
"Don't you know me? I would've come with you anyways!!" Morro pushed more force.
"But you didn't think of this plan on your own, did you?!" The ninja exclaimed.
"You were forced into this!!" He yelled.
"Forced to link Lloyd and I together, forced to get the sword, forced to possess me! Or what? They'll drag you back to the Cursed Realm? So you'll suffer for how long?!" Morro finaly unveiled the information he learned at the last second from Lloyd.
"N-no, I--"
"Don't try to deny it!" Morro shouted.
"I'm not blinded by your smile anymore!" Morro pushed the staff more.
"BECAUSE IT DISAPPEARED!"
Neran flinched, which lead to Morro taking a step and adding more force.
"So, forget what those ghosts said, because I want to see you smile for yourself and not me!" Morro closed his eyes as he yelled.
"SO STOP THIS AND COME BACK WITH ME!!"
"G--kh--" Neran softened his hold as he fell back, Morro almost tripping from momentum. Neran grabbed his head and started to yell. It was loud and sudden, Morro was shook.
"JUST GO AWAY, PLEASE!" Neran yelled. Morro reached his hand out but Neran swatted it away. In surprise of the moment, Morro turned his staff into the glider and flew to the boat.
Morro's foot got caught of the boarder of the boat and he tumbled down onto the deck.
"What happened?" Kai asked.
"Where's Lloyd?"
"He-- Argh!!" Morro backed up and ran up to the top floor of the boat. Running off the ledge and screaming, Morro flew off the boat and towards the Preeminent. Again. And his reasoning? He just recalled when this happened before. Morro shouted for everyone to stay away, but Neran kept chasing after him.
"Oh, great. There he goes." Jay sighed.
"Idiot. Idiot. Idiot!!" Morro shouted as he evaded obstacles. He landed on the decks of Stiix and started to run.
"I'M STILL GOING TO RUN AFTER YOU!!' Morro shouted.
"I APOLOGIZE! Morro shouted.
"I'm sorry you didn't grow up. I'm sorry that I didn't teach you more things. I'm sorry that I couldn't tell you the things people will do to get what they want!" The wind ninja ran over the planks.
"And I'm sorry--" he took a deep breath.
"-- that none of use realized we were being used!!"
