"Haiya!!" Kai shouted. His hand just barely touching the red flag.

"Ahh!" He did it again.

"Seriously!" Kai called from below. One more try, and miss.

"Haha!" Ronin laughed by the flag pole on the mast. The ninja's goal was to get the flag by using airjitzu.

"Aw, just short." The thief said, peering over the edge.

"Like your temper, Kai." He finished.

"Let me try. I'm for sure better Airjitzuer than you, Kai." Jay stepped forwards as he adjusted his armour straps.

"Oh, yeah? And when did that happen?" Kai asked.

"Like, now!" Jay raised his hands up and a light blue sphere surrounded him. As Jay spun in the air, his feet lifted off the ground and he flew up like a blast of wind helping him.

"Uh- AHHH!!" Jay shouted as he fell down.

"Oh, yeah. That was so much better than me." Kai crossed his arms.

"It...it was." Jay said, getting up.

"That wasn't Airjitzu, that was Failitzu." Ronin teased as he bit an apple.

"Or Stupiditzu." Kai added.

"To master the powers of Airjitzu, we must uplift, not put each other down, Ronin." Wu walked onto the deck.

"You close shop for a week, you gotta let me have some fun. Aren't Nindroids supposed to be precise?" Ronin asked, further eating his apple. Kai sighed.

"These new suits are heavy. Why can't we just use our old ones?" Kai asked.

"These are embedded with Deepstone. They will protect you from the powers of a ghost, such as possession." Wu explained.

"Possession?" Kai asked. He recalled when It looked like Neran ran into Morro.

"I-- hey... To be possessed, the ghost has to be like, in you?" Kai asked.

"That is the most common way to get possessed." Wu nodded.

"Huh." Kai said.

"Well, Morro's got airjitzu and can use it. We better catch up, assuming we stop failing." The red ninja sighed.

"Yeah, well, maybe the name "Airjitzu" isn't uplifting enough. Maybe we need something more inspiring, like...Cyclondo!" Jay jumped up again, overshooting and flying over the flag.

"Miss. Again!" Ronin exclaimed. As Jay fell down, he grabbed Ronin's apple.

"Hey!"

"Ha!" Jay exclaimed.

"Cyclondo." He bit the clean side of the apple.

Nya walked down the hall and saw an open door to Cole's quarters. She walked in.

"Don't feel like training?" Nya asked.

"In case you haven't heard, I'm a Ghost." Cole said, facing the wall.

"And don't tell me we can fix this 'cause we can't. This is just...who I am now." Cole reached for a cup on his side table, but his band only phased through it.

"Sensei told us our paths in life are never a straight line." Nya walked up to Cole and sat on the bed with him.

"Take me for instance, I thought I was always destined to be Samurai X, but now I'm training to become the Water Ninja no matter how horribly awful I am at that." Nya shrugged.

"All I know is, ninja never quit!"

"But I'm not a ninja anymore. I'm a Ghost." Cole looked at his hands again.

"Then what do you do? I think that's something you have to answer on your own." Nya said.

"Misako's about to debrief us about the next clue." Kai walked past the door.

"We'll be there in a moment." Nya notified.

"And sis, that color suits you well." Kai walked off.

"Thanks. It's my favorite colour." Nya looked at her gi. Cole noticed it too. A maroon gi with light turquoise highlights. Golden accents and a phoenix emblem in the enter.

"No, Nya." Cole said. The girl faced the ghost.

"Thank you." Cole hugged her.

Cole noticed that his hand solidified as he hugged Nya.

"I can see why Morro likes talking to you." Cole semi-laughed. Nya tried to hug Cole back, but her hand went through.

"Huh? Oh yeah. I'm always open to talk." Nya said.

. . .

"Now that all the ninja have airjitzu." Misako started.

"It's time to turn our attention to the second clue, the Sword in the Cloud." Misako turned the lights off and projected the symbol on a board.

"Me senses tell me it could be many a swords. Thar be the Fire Sword, the Sword of Destiny, the Golden Cutlass..." Zane listed in a pirate accent.

"I thought you said you fixed his voice." Kai whispered to Jay.

"I did." Jay replied.

"And then I made it better!" He snickered.

"...the Sword of Invisibility, the Sword of Invincibility..." Zane continued.

"Pftt... You're right." Kai whispered.

"It is better!"

The two try to keep themselves from laughing too loud.

"The Blade of Ruin." Zane finished.

"Aye, Zane." Misako said.

"And to add to your colourful account, there are many more swords, but when Nya told me the ghosts had gone after he mech, it all became clear." Misako switched the slide on the projector.

"It's the Sword of Sanctuary, protected in the Cloud Kingdom." She informed.

"Heh, Cloud Kingdom? I know every square inch of Ninjago. There ain't no place called the Cloud Kingdom." Ronin scoffed from the back of the room.

"You're right, it isn't in Ninjago. It's in a parallel Realm that can only be reached through the Blind Man's Eye." Wu informed.

"The Blind Man's Eye?" Nya asked.

"You mean the powerful storm cyclone above the clouds? But its altitude is far too high for the bounty to reach." The new ninja explained.

"Unless we ascend the tallest mountain in Ninjago. The Wailing Alps." Misako switched the scene to the peak of a mountain and the center if a storm.

"Yes, the Wailing Alps. When the Blind Man's Eye passes its peak, you four ninja will jump into the eye of the storm using Airjitzu to cross over into Cloud Kingdom to take possession of the Sword of Sanctuary." Wu informed the ninja.

"Whoa, whoa, Sensei, you're throwing around some big words here, but I think you got one wrong." Jay said.

"It's Cyclondo, not Airjitzu."

The other ninja rolled their eyes.

"So this Sword of Sanctuary that we're after, what makes it so special?" Cole asked.

"Also, do we know what Morro's after for sure?" He added.

"Oh, and any cure for the linked wisteria?" Nya added.

"Sadly, no. For the wisteria and why Morro's doing this." Misako started.

"But, whoever gets the sword will have a bug advantage. Lights, please." She said. Nya turned the lights on.

"This sword is special because reflected within its blade, you can foresee your next opponent's next move." Wu explained.

"This is about more than the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master. It's about family." Misako said.

"How is Lloyd, anyways?" Jay asked.

"Still passed out. Why it's happening, still unknown." Misako said. The ninja sighed.

"Then let's gear up. We have one big mountain to climb." Kai jumped to his feet.

. . .

Morro sat cross legged on the mech as the ghosts piloted and climbed up the mountain.

"WOAH-" Morro got kicked off. Luckily, he used his glider to fly around and land back on the mech. Neran was standing there.

"What was that for?" Morro asked.

"Testing you." Neran replied with a shrug.

"So, you kicked me off because you're testing me?" Morro asked. Neran nodded.

"And you fell again." He said. Morro rolled his eyes. The mech was pretty big, so standing ontop of it was easy.

Morro brought his left hand up and his right hand up in a ready stance. He stepped back and bit and thrusted this left hand. Neran raised his left and directed the attack away. He jumped up and behind, but before landing disappeared.

Morro looked around himself, then got kicked off again. This time, Morro shot wind downwards and shot back up, grabbing Neran's crimson scarf and pulling him down.

"Hey! Are you taking this seriously?" Neran asked.

"Yeah. Are you?" Morro asked.

"Yes. Because I just matched you again!" Neran exclaimed.

"K- oh... Kay." Morro got up. He looked over the edge. The clouds. Could barely see the ground.

"This is higher than any tree." Neran said.

"Yep." Morro agreed and moved up more.

"I'm walking for a bit. Tired of sitting."

Neran looked back at the other ghosts and the all gave him a look. Neran turned back to Morro and ran up to him. Seemingly walking through the wind master before disappearing.

Morro felt dizzy again. It may be the high altitude, but it felt the same as the other times. Morro felt like half of him was sleeping. But he was wide awake in the cool air and snow. As of now, Morro wanted to fall and not move but he kept going. Maybe something was just telling him to keep going and so he did.

. . .

The bounty was high above the clouds now and the air started to freeze. Kai and Jay could see their breath infront of them.

"It's getting really cold." Jay hugged his arms.

"Freezing if you ask me." Kai added.

"Boys, we need down below." Nya said.

"Without your mechs, it'll be harder to make it up the mountain on your own. Be careful." Nya said as each ninja got in their resoective mechs.

"I've also installed headsets into your hoods for easy communication. Try it out." Nya informed

Jay cleared his throat.

"Tell me Zane, how tall is this mountain?" He asked.

"The precise elevation of the Wailing Alps be well over three leagues and twenty eight fathoms." The nindroid responded in the pirate accent.

"Zane's so much cooler." Jay snickered.

"Remember, once you get to the peak, you'll only have one shot to shoot the Blind Man's Eye. Don't miss." Ronin reminded by the door.

"I don't know, guys, you had time to practice. Maybe I should sit this one out." Cole sighed as he hovered his hands around his controls.

"Don't even think about it. You may be a Ghost, but you're still part of the team." Kai said.

"And if it weren't for you getting the first clue, we wouldn't even be here." Jay added.

"I got a feeling we're gonna need you here." Kai finished.

"So what are you gonna do, Cole? Are you in, or out?" Nya asked. Cole grabbed his controls. His hand held it.

"Open the hangar doors!" Cole exclaimed. He's in!

"Opening hangar doors!" Ronin pulled the lever and the ground opened up.

"Whoo-hoo! Haha. Is anyone else getting a tingling feeling?" Jay shouted.

"Yeah. Frostbite." Kai said.

"Drop 'em!" Ronin exclaimed. Nya pressed the button to release the mechs.

"Ninja-snow!!!" They yelled as the boys dropped to the mountain. Zane, Kai and Jay made the landing but Cole's was a bit rough.

"Cole! Are you okay?" Kai asked. The others helped him up.

"Gotta work on that landing. Hey, you sure you want me along? I can hardly control my new body, let alone this piece of metal." Cole asked again.

"Hey, we all have our bad days. We'll pick you up so next time you can return the favor." Jay Saudi.

"Jay be right. The only way we're gettin' up ye mountain is if we be a hardy crew." Zane said.

"This isn't about who's a ninja, a Nindroid, or even a ghost. Above all else, we're brothers. And we're trying to get some others brothers to wake up." Kai said.

"And as iron sharpens iron, brother sharpens brother."

"Alright, brothers. Let's do this!" Cole exclaimed. They started to climb their way up.

"The Blind Man's Eye will be passing the peak in T-minus four hours." Nya informed as she stared at the screen.

"Good, then if there isn't any trouble, they should be able to get there in time." Wu said.

"Just out of curiosity, why is it they call it the Wailing Alps?" Ronin queried leaning on the railings.

"Because when the unnaturally strong wind gusts blow through the canyons, it creates a wailing sound. They say some gusts are strong enough to blow someone clear off the face of the mountain." Misako educated.

"Ooh, the mountain wind versus the master of wind. Who's gonna win?" Ronin asked.

"Your humor is so dry." Nya said.

"Yeah, like the wasteland until you made it rain, remember?" Ronin added. Nya turned around and drew her hand across her neck, making a "shut up" expression.

"Heh. Not so bad when you get the hang of it." Cole said, leading the way.

"So, the Sword of Sanctuary." Jay started.

"It can see your opponent's next move. It's the next clue to the tomb of the FSM, but are we even supposed to be looking for it?" Jay asked.

"I mean, sensei told us what happened the first time Morro went looking for it."

"We need to find the tomb so we can find out whatever's in there, why the ghosts want it, and get Morro to use common sense. Seems like he lost his." Kai said.

"Zane. How much further is it to the top?" Jay asked.

"Thar be a long way. At least a hundred thousand steps up." Zane replied.

"A hundred thousand? Good thing I'm not counting." Kai sighed.

"267, 268, 269..." Jay started.

"...70, 71, 72, 72—oh, look, a little goat!" Jay exclaimed at the sight of an animal on the snow.

"That's not a goat. Don't you remember? We rode one of those." Kai said. They stopped to turn to Jay.

"Its got horns. It's a goat." The blue ninja argued.

"Even giraffes have horns. And that's not a goat. It's a yak." Kai pointed.

"A yak? No way. Maybe it's a cow."

"I'm about to have a cow!"

Zane bent down to examine a few tracks he found in the snow.

"Arr, look! Tracks!" Zane stated.

"Maybe another yak?" Kai suggested.

"Or a cow!" Jay exclaimed. But that wasn't the case. These were large foot steps... Like one of their mechs.

"These tracks are fresh, Zane. Be careful." Pixal said to Zane in his head.

"Pixal has analyzed ye tracks. We not be the first ones to climb this pass today." Zane told his comrades.

"Think it's Morro?" Kai asked.

"Probably." Jay said.

"Great. We need another chance to talk to him." Cole said.

Wooooooooshhhhh

"What's that sound?" Cole asked.

"Wind gust. Anchor down!!!!" Zane shouted. The ninja dived their mech's hands into the rock.

"Hold on, everyone!" Kai shouted. But the mechs weren't strong enough. Zane started to slip then fell into Jay who fell onto Kai who accidentally pulled Cole with. Cole was about to fall over the ledge. Zane used his mech's grappled to pull him up.

"That was close." Cole said as the snow and wind cleared.

"I owe you one."

"Come on. There's still a lot of mountain to go." Kai said.

Further up the mountain, spectators of the ninja's climb.

"I saw the bounty." Morro said.

"And I see your friends." Neran pointed down.

"Oh, you're there." Morro looked to his left.

"Perhaps you may want to pilot the mech yourself, stay shielded from the winds?" Bansha suggested.

"No thanks. Mechs are strange." Morro said. His hood flipped on.

"What are you doing?" Morro asked.

"Putting your hood on. It's cold." Neranr replied.

"I-- I don't--" Morro tried to speak as Neran tied his straps.

"I don't want you to die of hypothermia." Neran said.

"How do you know that word?" Morro asked.

"I know words." Neran said as Morro turned around.

"Yeah, thanks to me."

"So, you prove my point?"

"That doesn't explain your sudden knowledge of words."

"You just said that you're the reason why."

"Ahem." Soul Archer cleared his throat. Morro and Neran stopped their talking.

"The mountain." The archer said.

"Right." Morro jumped onto the mech that Ghoultar piloted for some reason.

Neran sat beside Morro.

As The mech turned to climb, Soul Archer nodded at Bansha. She nodded back.

A loud screech filled the air. Morro and Neran covered their ears as they looked back at the ghost banshee.

"What are you doing?" Morro asked.

"You trying to cause an avalanche?"

"No, not on us. Not when were here." Bansha said. Morro turned back forwards.

"Neran what was that?" Morro looked around. Gone.

"Why don't you ever warn me." He sighed.

Lower on the mountain, the ninja looked up.

"What was that sound?" Jay asked as a scream was in the air.

"Another gust?" Cole suggested.

"Worse." Kai said as he looked up. Tumbling snow. Headed right fore them.

"Avalanche."

Try this." I said.

"Hm? What's this?" He asked.

"A training sword. It's bamboo." I said giving it to him to hold.

He gripped it with his right hand.

"Woah! This is pretty cool!" He swung it around.

"I was tought how to block, counter amd disarm." I said. I grabbed the training sword and stood by him. I didn't notice that his face was a little heated.

"Huh?" He said.

"You raise it up with one hand and place your other on the dull side so you can push back." I guided him through the motions.

"Really?" He uttered.

"After you push them back, you want to kick to their legs and trip them." I went on.

"Grab the sword--" I took it and pointed it to the ground.

"And hit away the weapon."

"Your lessons are getting more advanced. Everyday it seems like you're gonna fight something big." He said.

"Well, I asked for more advanced training." I sighed.

"Why don't you teach it to me after you learn. So then we can spar against each other?" He suggested.

"Yeah, okay. Here. Copy my stance." I started.
