I woke up forgetting where I was, then remembering. I was still thinking this was a dream, and that I would wake up at the orphanage with Kay blasting Fall Out Boy and Ms. Layne calling all the kids down for breakfast.
I got out of bed and threw on a black sweater, black skinny jeans, my converse and beanie. I walked into the bathroom and actually brushed my hair. I wasn't sure if Gerard and Lyn-Z were up yet so I decided to stay in my room for a few more minutes and text Kay. I walked to my dresser and grabbed my phone.
"Missed call from Kay"
I was speechless. She called me at 3:00 A.M! She knew I was sleeping! I decided to call her back.
"Pick up, pick up." I whispered to myself, slowly pacing back and forth. Just then she picked up.
"ADIE!" she squealed, I jumped slightly. She sounded overjoyed, like she hadn't talked to me in 50 years.
"Kay! Why did you call me so late?"
"I'm sorry... I just missed you, that's all." She trailed, sounding ashamed almost.
"I missed you too, but next time please call earlier." I said as we both laughed. I could tell hers was more forced.
"How's the band?" she asked eagerly.
"It's just Gerard and Lyn-Z here but Ray and Mikey are visiting pretty soon, which is exciting."
"Send me a picture!" she yelled. I thought she was going to wake up the orphanage. Poor kids.
"Will do." I laughed.
"I gotta go, Ms. Layne is calling for breakfast. " Kay replied with a sad tone. "Call me later!"
"Okay, Bye." I replied and hung up. It was kinda quick to say goodbye, but Ms. Layne was big about being on time. I heard footsteps shuffle across the hall and I went to see who it was, It was Lyn-Z.

"Hey Adie." She said, sounding like she woke up after a 4000 year nap. Her voice was quite raspy but she still sounded as sweet as ever.
"Hey Lyn-Z, where's Gerard?" I answered, they were almost ALWAYS together.
"He's still sleeping, I'm always up first." She laughed and headed downstairs, I followed her. We reached the kitchen and she turned around.
"So, what do you want for breakfast? Pancakes, waffles, French toast?" Lyn-Z asked, opening the cabinets.
"Waffles please." I answered with a smile. She started making waffles and I heard footsteps walk down the stairs, It was Gerard. He walked over to Lyn-Z, who was pouring waffle mix in a bowl.
"Morning." he said with a sleepy accent, kissing her. I couldn't help but squeal a bit, they laughed.
"How was your night?" he asked. Probably regarding the night mare.
"Besides the dream, it was fine." I answered, looking down at the table. I didn't want to talk about it.
"That's good." He said getting up and heading over to the coffee machine. Suddenly, my mind struck me with something I never asked.
"What made you decide to adopt someone?" I asked. Gerard and Lyn-Z looked at each other, then at me.
"Well, we came across a documentary about orphans and how bad it is for some. We couldn't help but adopt. Plus, we were thinking about starting a family." They both smiled at me, I smiled back.
"And you tell me you don't want me writing fan fic." I said jokingly. They both laughed in response to my remark.
For the first time in a while,
I feel like i have people who care.
