《Adopted by My Chemical Romance》1

November 10th
~
I woke up to someone pulling on my shoulder. I fluttered my eyes open, meeting face to face with my best friend, Kay, Who was annoyingly staring at me. I grunted.
"Adie wake up! We have to be downstairs! Ms. Layne said it's urgent."
She was my everything, but in this moment I despise her for waking me up. I yawned and she slowly shifted away from my bed.
"Alright Alright I'm coming down." I groaned, rubbing my sore eyes. Kay nodded and left our room, I heard her go down the metal stairs. I sat up and stretched, looking at my wall and meeting face to face with the My Chemical Romance poster I had carelessly taped on the chipping paint interior. They're my favorite band, and they got me through some rough times, especially after the incident years ago. I'm so thankful Kay introduced me to their music. And I'm surprised they let me put it on the wall, Ms. Layne is pretty strict. I got out of bed and got dressed. Throwing on a David Bowie shirt and a bomber jacket. I brushed out my bangs and exited the room using the very old wooden door Kay and I carved our initials into a few years ago. I walked down the loud metal stairs to the main lobby. All the kids from my age group were down there. Miss Layne saw me and motioned me to stand next to Kay. I locked eyes with her and shrugged.
"Now, all of you are probably wondering why you're here this early." Everyone nodded and a few of them yawned, including me.
"Well, we received word of people coming in an hour looking for a child within this age group!"
Everyone suddenly became filled with energy. I too was excited, I wanted to leave here. With Kay by my side of course.

"Now, everyone tidy up your rooms and look decent."
Miss Layne then went back to her office and everyone bolted upstairs to their rooms. Kay grabbed my arm. I spun around and she was jumping frantically.
"Excited? This might be the day we leave this place!" I hugged her at the thought of it and we both ran upstairs, the metal clanging with each step. When we finally reached our room, Kay started throwing clothes into her closet so her side of the room looked presentable. I laughed and did the same, throwing random trash and dirty clothes into the closet. We then plopped on our beds and just smiled at each other and bounced around. An hour went by pretty quickly, and we heard Ms. Layne call from downstairs.
"Children! Come meet the family!"
Kay and I glanced at each other and practically booked it. We ran down the hall until we reached the stairs, knowing we would have to quietly walk down. I saw Ms. Layne standing in front of what it looked like four people. Other kids were already down there so I couldn't see their faces. When everyone got down there she ordered us to form a line. Then, I finally saw who they were.
It was Gerard Way,
Frank Iero,
Mikey Way,
And Ray Toro
Standing right in front of me, breathing the same air as me, existing at the same time as me.
"Now children, say hello to.." she turned to them, lifting her hand to gesture.
"Gerard, Mikey, Ray and Frank."
Everyone replied with a hello and Kay and I glanced at each other, wide eyes and internal screaming. We just couldn't believe it. Ms. Layne proceeded to go down the line, introducing everyone and giving them a short backstory. I almost threw up when I saw her walking over to me. I could already feel sweat on my face and my heart was rapidly beating.

"This is Adeline Abernathy." Ms. Layne said. Although I didn't preferably like being called Adeline, I smiled. I realized Gerard was staring at my shirt.
"Hi Adeline, that's a nice name!" Mikey smiled. Dear lord Mikey Way just complimented me.
"Adie for short." I said shyly, tugging at the sleeves of my bomber jacket.
"Adie? That's cool. " Frank replied and smiled. I honestly feel like I can die happy now.
Ms. Layne carried on about the plane crash. I hated even thinking about it. Although, if that never happened I wouldn't have met Kay. Or ever have been in this very situation. I looked down at the floor, feeling my face warming up.
"Wow, I'm so sorry." Gerard frowned. I started tearing up, but I quickly held back my tears.
"It's okay." I replied, trying not to stutter.
Ms. Layne continued on to Kay and then to everyone else. She then she turned to face all of us, holding her hands together.
"Let them have time to decide." She smiled.
Everyone including Kay and I raced to our room, we slammed the door and started jumping around and screaming out of pure fangirl. We stopped for a moment, looking excitedly at each other.
"I can't believe Frank and Mikey complemented you!" She screeched.
"I can't believe Gerard was staring at my shirt!" I replied, thanking my instincts for wanting to show my love for Bowie.
"I hope they pick both of us, I don't want to leave you." Kay said holding my hand.
"I don't either, I just can't believe this is happening!" we both laughed and hopped around the room.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
