MePhone's POV:
I stumbled out of the room, MePad being carried above my head.
My legs were still sore and I was shaking bad, but I had to push through.
I had to get out of there.
I wandered past a couple empty rooms, all of them looking identical to eachother.
It was very dark in the hallway I was walking through, it was unnerving.
Then I heard footsteps.
I gasped quietly, stepping into the closest room I could find.
Luckily it was empty.
I held my breath as the footsteps passed.
I peeked around the corner to see who it was that was passing.
Just another MePhone.
I sighed with relief and pressed my back against the wall.
Maybe I should get a weapon...
I glanced around the room for anything I could use as a weapon.
There were a couple tools on a counter nearby, but none of them looked like they would work super well
My best bet was the wrench.
I picked up, being careful not to drop MePad.
This should work for now.
I gripped the wrench tightly and exited the room, glancing around just in case someone was there.
Nothing.
I held my breath and continued walking, listening carefully for anyone approaching.
I walked aimlessly for a while when eventually, the sound of crying was heard.
Crying? Who would be crying?
Then I realized.
It's probably the kidnapped students.
I rushed towards the sound, and turned a corner, not noticing that there was someone standing there.
I ran right into the person and we both hit the floor.
I glanced up and saw that it was a MePhone.
CRUD
I scrambled to my feet, picking up MePad in the process, and attempted to run past the other phone, but he grabbed my leg, causing me to fall to the floor and drop MePad.
I gasped as I hit the floor, making the crack that was already in my face from the crowbar accident, grow larger.
I hissed at the pain, but tried my best to ignore it and fight back.
I kicked the other phone in the screen, and he let go.
He didn't crack, but it still seemed to hurt him.
I quickly got back up, and at the same time, the MePhone attempted to tackle me.
I quickly grabbed the wrench from off of the floor, and with all my strength, smashed his screen with it.
Glass scattered across the floor, and I could see his inner parts.
He stumbled for a bit, before he collapsed to the floor, glitching violently.
I gripped the wrench tightly, shaking from the pain throughout my body.
I stepped back a bit, picking up MePad again, and continued heading towards the sound of the crying.
As I passed, I saw a large glass window.
It was shattered.
I peeked out, noticing that we were miles above the ground. In fact, we were so high up, I couldn't even see the ground.
How did this get broken?
I shook my head and backed away from the broken window
I guess we can use this as an escape if we can find a way to get down safely.
Eventually I arrived at the source of the crying.
Sure enough, it was the kidnapped students.
I entered the room, which was unlocked for some reason, and saw quite a few objects inside.
They were all inside of glass boxes.
A lot of them had severe injuries.
What did he do to them?
I approached the crying object's box.
I recognized her as Lightbulb, the one who usually was very bubbly and happy, and sometimes not the brightest.
But she was completely out of character in this situation.
One thing that really stood out to me were the bandages around her head.
They were stained red with blood.
It looked as if her eyes were missing.
I felt nauseous looking at the sight.
"Stay away from her! She's gone through enough already!" Said someone to my right.
I turned to look.
It was a girl I knew as soap.
The pump on the top of her head was broken off and looked severely infected.
"Wait- I'm not working with him." I said, trying to reassure her that I was here to help.
"Yeah sure, I'm not stupid." She said crossing her arms.
She didnt seem convinced.
I raised an eyebrow at her and approached her box.
She clenched her fists as if she were ready to attack me.
"If I were working with him, would I do this?" I said.
"Huh-"
Before she had time to think, I lifted up the wrench, and smashed it against the glass with full force, shattering the wall I had hit.
Soap covered her head as the glass scattered.
She then looked up and I stuck out my hand to help her up.
She hesitantly took my hand and I pulled her to her feet.
"Wait- Y-you're actually here to help-?" She stuttered, shuffling her feet.
I nodded.
"My name is MePhone4 and I guess im kind of the outcast. I didn't agree with what Cobs was doing and- well, he didn't appreciate that to say the least." I mumbled.
"Is that how you got that crack?" Soap asked.
I hesitated.
"Uhh, yeah." I lied to avoid embarrasing myself.
I could imagine how embarrassing that would sound if I said that I hit myself in the face with a crowbar.
"You sounded unsu-"
"Lets get the rest of them out now." I interrupted, walking to the box next to her's containing Microphone.
I smashed that box too, helping Mic up as well.
Soap and Mic hugged and I walked to the next box, expecting someone to be in it, but there was nobody.
The glass looked as if it had been melted. So did the one next to it.
Did these two escape?
I decided to ignore it for now.
The next box was Lightbulb's.
She looked scared, probably because she couldn't see and could only hear the sound of glass shattering.
I felt bad for her honestly, which wasn't something I usually felt.
"Hey Lightbulb, I'm going to break your box to get you out ok? Just be prepared." I said, warning her.
Lightbulb hesitated but nodded, and scooted back, covering her head.
I lifted up the wrench, and smashed the box she was in.
She flinched, but settled down afterwards.
I grabbed her hand and helped her to her feet.
"Help her out please." I said to Soap.
Soap nodded and helped Lightbulb to maintain her balance.
After a while, I finally managed to break everyone's boxes.
I was surprised that nobody had come in to try and stop me.
Everyone was out now, and they all looked anxious, but relieved at the same time.
"Alright, Let's go." I waved my arm over my head, signaling for them to follow me.
We exited the room and I glanced around to make sure nobody was there.
"The coast is clear guys."
We made our way towards the broken window and once we got there, I managed to generate parachutes for everyone.
Everyone jumped out one by one, slowly floating to the ground.
I sighed with relief and tossed MePad out with the paracute on him.
I was prepared to jump out as well when suddenly I was grabbed from behind.
My parachute was torn off from my back.
I fought the person who had grabbed me and then I recognized him.
It was the MePhone I had broken before I rescued everyone.
He's alive??? How???
I struggled to push him off of me, when suddenly, he pushed forwards, causing both of us to fall from the broken window.
I didn't have my parachute, and we were falling.
Falling fast.
I panicked for a bit, before I took some deep breaths.
There was no use in struggling this time.
There was no escape from this situation.
I closed my eyes, and let myself fall.
At least I had done some good.
Something I wouldn't have been able to do if this hadn't happened.
At least...
...at least I died a better person...

Toilet's POV:
Why didn't they tell me before? If they had told me they were being hunted down I could've helped sooner!
I hopped ahead of Balloon, Nickel, and Fan.
They had just informed me that they had been kidnapped and were being hunted down by their kidnappers.
It was shocking information to hear, but if this is the situation they are in, I can't let them get caught.
After a while, we ended up at the police station.
We talked with them for a while and they didn't seem to believe the story.
But they did mention that someone had said something about it a while ago, which caused Fan to start crying.
I wasn't sure why he started crying, but Balloon was able to calm him down.
Even though the police didn't seem to believe us, they agreed to take Fan and Balloon in to treat their injuries.
Balloon ended up having to get surgery on his leg and they had to keep checking on his arm due to the fact that it had not been treated correctly.
He was obviously scared though, there were a couple times where he tried to fight back and the doctors had to reassure him that they were trying to help.
They found that Fan had some injuries to the brain, which surprised me bcause he seemed completely fine on the outside.
I was surpised he even survived that.
They offered to let me stay for the time-being, but I was also concerned about the bill that would have to be payed afterwards, because none of us really had any money.
Luckily, Nickel offered to take care of that.
The doctors were still confused about how they had gotten injuries that bad, but we kept on telling them, and they didnt seem to believe us.
One doctor though...
He would listen to us when he asked what happened, and honestly, I think he was the only one who actually believed us.
When Fan and Balloon explained what happened, this doctor checked up on how the injuries were made, and found that they matched up with the process from the explanation.
He decided he was going to help. Even if this wasn't true, he wanted to make sure everyone was safe.
"When you're better, we can go check everything out, I will try and convince the police to investigate." The doctor stated, before leaving the room.
I was relieved that I was able to help, but I was told that there were others.
I didn't know how we were going to rescue them, but if these two were able to escape, I'm sure they can find a way to free everyone else too.
For now, I just have to make sure they are safe.
I have to make sure they stay safe.

Soap's POV:
I landed gently on the ground.
I was the last to arrive, other than MePad.
But I noticed something off.
Where is MePhone4?
I glanced around, looking for him everywhere, when I suddenly heard a loud thud, and a cracking noise.
I gasped, and quickly took off the parachute, rushing in the direction of the noise.
"Where are you going?!" Knife called from a distance away.
I didn't respond, just kept running.
Once I got closer, I saw a faint blue light.
It was flickering, and getting dimmer.
I finally got to the exact location and gasped.
There was MePhone4, lying on the ground.
His screen was shattered completely, and he was glitching badly.
A little ways away from him was another MePhone, its condition was worse than his.
That one mustv'e caused this...
I rushed over to MePhone4 and examined him closer.
He was still glitching, which must mean he still had some power.
I carefully picked him up and brought him back to the group.
A couple people gasped and covered their mouths, and others asked if he was ok.
"We need to get help before it's too late, if we dont find anyone we could get caught again and we might not be able to save MePhone4." I said with a determined tone in my voice.
With that, I led everyone into the forest.
They all followed me, and Mic helped Lightbulb to find her way.
I glanced down at MePhone4.
He was in really bad condition.
But I wasn't about to give up on him.
We never would've been able to escape without his help.
Now it was my turn to return the favor.
I noticed something slightly off about our group while we were walking though...
Someone was missing.
And then I realized who...
...Where is Pickle?
.
.
.
Paintbrush's POV:
It's been really quiet lately.
No Cobs, no MePhones, nobody.
Just silence.
I found it odd.
There should've been at least someone coming in to check on what I was doing, but it was almost as if everyone had dissapeared.
I wasn't really complaining though.
It was better than seeing the face of that monster and his followers.
But either way, I was still stuck here, and so was everyone else.
Or... and least I think they are.
Maybe they escaped without me, not realizing I was still here.
Maybe I'm stuck here for good.
I sighed, leaning against the wall.
I stared at the device at my ankle.
There had to be some way to get it off.
Everything was silent for a while when suddenly the door opened.
I stared, expecting it to be Cobs or a MePhone, but I was way off.
Instead someone I never would've expected walked in.
It was Pickle.
We stared at eachother in shock for a moment.
"Paintbrush-?" He suddenly asked.
I glanced around for a bit, silently, then nodded.
I stood up and he ran over to me.
"I thought you died! How are you alive?! Are you ok?!" He exclaimed, grabbing my shoulders and examining me.
"I'm fine, I was 'recovered' or something, but how did you get out?" I responded.
Pickle explained everything to me. He said he had stayed behind to see if anyone else was still here.
I was honestly glad he did.
Suddenly he grabbed my wrist.
"Cmon we need to go before someone finds out we escaped." He said, and he started running towards the door.
"Wait- stop-" I said, pulling back and out of his grasp.
"Huh???"
He turned around to look at me, a confused look on his face.
"I cant leave." I said, motioning down to the device on my ankle.
He stared at the device.
"What is that?" He asked.
"If I try to leave this room, it will inject antibiotics into my system and pretty much paralyze me. It's extremely painful, trust me, I've experienced it." I responded, kicking my leg a little.
He stared, then sighed.
"Give me a second." He said, before rushing out of the room.
I sat down on the floor and waited.
Eventually he got back with a strange looking crowbar he found.
It looked as if it were glitching, but I ignored it.
"I'm going to try and rip the device off with this before it can inject the antibiotics. We'll have to do this fast though, if I dont do this correctly, that device could malfunction and cause an overdose of the antibiotics." Pickle said, holding the crowbar tight in his grip
Well that's reassuring...
Pickle approached me with the crowbar.
I held my breath.
"Alright, here goes nothing..." he said, before sticking the crowbar between my ankle and the device.
Pickle then suddenly pulled with all of his strength.
I shut my eyes tight, then suddenly, I heard a clatter on the floor.
I opened my eyes to see the device on the floor with a large needle sticking out of it.
That needle is a lot longer than I though.
I rubbed my leg.
I was lucky that it worked or else I could've died.
Pickle sat on the floor, sighing with relief.
I laughed anxiously a little.
Near death experiences really give you a rush of adrenaline.
"I really thought I was gonna die there." I chuckled.
"Well at least we got it off." Pickle said with a small smile, "But do you know if there's anyone else here?"
"I'm pretty sure it's just me." I said, standing up.
Pickle nodded, then grabbed my arm and rushed out of the room.
We ended up at a large broken window.
We were miles above the ground.
"How are we supposed to get down?" I asked.
Pickle then pointed to a backpack on the ground, and put it on.
I raised an eyebrow, confused.
"It's a parachute." He said.
"Wait, how did you-"
Before I had the chance to ask how he got it, he grabbed onto me and jumped from the window.
I gasped and panicked a little.
Pickle then pulled the string on the pack and a parachute spread out, slowly lowering us to the ground.
I just held on for dear life.
Once we got to the ground, pickle pulled off the parachute and dropped it on the ground.
There were a bunch of other parachutes around as well.
Must've been the ones the others used.
"Looks like they went this way." Pickle said, pointing to a bunch of muddy footprints.
We followed the footprints for a while when we suddenly heard Pickle's name being called.
"Over here!" He called to the voices, running towards them.
I followed him.
We entered a small clearing.
Everyone was there waiting.
"Pickle where were-" Soap was about to ask, then noticed me.
She stared shocked for a moment.
"Paintbrush???" She exclaimed with a shocked tone in her voice.
I nodded before glancing around for any sign of Lightbulb.
Then I saw her.
She was sitting on the ground with bandages around her head.
There was blood on the spot where her eyes would be.
I stared in horror.
What did he do to her?!
I rushed over to her and put my hands on her shoulders.
She jumped, not expecting the sudden touch.
"Huh?"
She felt around in front of her when suddenly she touched my hair.
She hesitated, then pat it again, recognizing the feeling.
She sat there silently, motionless.
"Painty...?" She asked quietly, looking as if she were about to start crying.
I smiled, even though she couldn't see it, and tears started to fill my eyes.
I hugged her tightly.
"Yes Lightbulb, it's me..." I said softly.
Lightbulb began sobbing. She hugged me back tightly, crying into my shoulder.
"I thought I'd lost you forever!!!" She exclaimed in between sobs, squeezing my tightly, shaking a little.
I rubbed her back to comfort her.
She sniffled, putting her arm over her eyes.
I could imagine that crying probably hurt for her.
"Can I see your injuries...?" I asked.
I wanted to make sure it wasnt too bad.
She nodded, sniffling, and still shaking a little.
I gently took ahold of the bandages, pulling them away.
She flinched a little, but I tried my best not to hurt her.
I jumped when I saw that it was worse than I imagined.
A large hole was in place of where her eye would've been. The other was missing because of the hole in her head.
The socket was red and looked infected, there was dried blood all over and some of it was still liquid.
Seeing this filled me with rage.
Rage directed towards Cobs.
He did this to her.
He put her through all of this suffering, all because of some sick experiment.
This was the last straw.
I took a deep breath to regain my composure in case my hair sparked up, we were in the middle of a forest, and even though it was raining, there was still a chance it could catch fire.
"Does anyone have any new bandages?" I asked, glancing around.
"I grabbed some before we left." Pickle said, holding up a small roll of bandages.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.
