《Snatched》Chapter 18

Ohhhhhhh no, this is not good, in fact this is the opposite of good, this is bad!
You raced along the sidewalk your bare feet numb from the cold.
Shota will kill me!
You had been living alone in your apartment for about two years and you didn't want to leave. You were there because Shota lived really far away from all of your friends and you couldn't stand to be away from them. He had agreed to move closer to them but after a while knew he had to move back for work. He told you that you could stay but only if you always listened to him and didn't light the place on fire. It was technically illegal for you to be living alone at your age but you were independent enough to fend for yourself and if it was ever a problem Shota was a pro hero so you weren't worried.
You loved your independence, you found some odd jobs and were able to pay part of your bills, you still mostly relied on Shota for money but he didn't really care.
As you ran through the darkness you passed places that you used play in as a kid. You cut through a side road and came up on to an all too familiar street. You slowed to a walk trying to catch your breath as you turned a corner only to come face to face with a large white house.
Your breath caught as you stared wide eyed at the house.
I can't be here.
You willed your legs to move but you were frozen in place.
All the lights of the house were off and two cars were parked in the drive way, there were some toys scattered across the lawn and the grass was growing long. Other than that it was exactly like you remembered it.
No, no, I have to leave.
Your eyes stayed fixed on the house. The door was wide open and you could see the TV through the window. You couldn't hear anything but you could clearly see the video.
Pro heroes. Dead.
You took a step forward to see better but stumbled over a toy doll. When you looked back at the house the door was shut and the TV was off.
You turnned away and ran, not looking back.

Katskui watched you run down the street your shoes in your and and your face on of pure panic.
"What the fuck."
"Poor girl she looked really stressed. Why don't you have her over more?" Mitsuki said looking out the window aswell.
"MIND YOUR BUSINESS HAG!"
"I WAS TRYING TO MAKE CONVERSATION!"
"I DON'T WANT YOUR CONVERSATION!"
"FINE!"
Mistuki walked out of the room and slammed the door.
Katsuki sighed, he did not want to deal with his mother right now, or ever for that matter.
He grabbed his homework from his bag and started going through the questions, but quickly gave up, he couldn't focus, all he could think about was a H/c dumbass.
He couldn't stop thinking about the blush on your face when he landed on top of you and how you didn't hesitate in taking your usual video game position.
"Stupid annoying nerd." He grumbled
Why did you act like you were kids again? You weren't, he was the next number one hero and you were just some extra.
Right just an extra.
...
But if you were just an extra why did it take so long for him to get off of you, why couldn't he move?

As you ran you felt tears pricking at your eyes but you rubbed them away,
It's over. They're gone. Push it down.
"Y/n?"
You stopped dead in your tracks. You recognized the voice. You rubbed your face quickly and put on a fake smile before you turned around.
"Hey Izu! What are you doing out so late?"
He studied your face and your shoes in your hand.
"Y/n, what happened?"
"Oh nothing, I'm just running late to get home."
He stared at you quizzically, you could tell he was trying to figure you out in his head.
Before he could say anything you spoke up, "You didn't answer me Izu, why are you out so late?"
"Oh, I couldn't sleep so I'm walking around, but it's not really that late."
You walked up to him and ruffled his hair, "It's late for an innocent bean like you."
He blushed furiously, "Y/n!"
You laughed and stepped back, "Sorry, sorry."
His eyes were fixed on you his blushed face baring an expression of confusion.

"What's wrong?" You asked.
"I-I just... I thought you would be angry with me."
You smiled softly, of course you were upset that he got hurt but now you understood why he did it and you couldn't bring yourself to be angry at him for trying to be a hero.
"I'm not angry. I know why you rush into dangerous situations. You don't wan't people you know you can save getting hurt, I can respect that."
The green haired boy gawked at you like this was the last hing he expected you to say.
You continued, "From now on I won't be like an overprotective mother, sorry about keeping you from growing. However, I still won't be jumping for joy when you get yourself hurt okay."
He was frozen for a second but then tackled you into a hug.
"Thank you Y/n! I'm sorry I was avoiding you I just felt so guilty for everything that happened at the USJ."
You smiled, "Don't thank me I didn't do anything all I did was stop holding you back and don't feel bad, you're all good."
The boy didn't say anything all he did was hug you tighter, he was surprisingly strong.
Now that he wasn't looking at you, your face fell.
You could feel yourself falling apart, you hadn't thought about your old house or what happened there in a long time, and for a good reason.
You couldn't handle it.
You held on to Izuku like a lifeline feeling his arms around your back, holding you together. Your hands clung onto the back of his shirt trying to grasp hold of something safe.
He didn't say anything but you could feel his face begin to heat up.
You took a deep breath and pulled away, your face back to a tight smile.
"Y/n? Are you okay?"
"Yeah of course, I just needed a hug that's all."
He nodded, slightly turning away trying to hide his face.
You didn't think anything of it,Izuku always acted like that. Its been the same since you were kids, whenever you touched him or said something nice to him his face would turn into a literal tomato.
"Alright Izu, I'm going to get going now."
"Are you sure you want to walk home in the dark I-I can walk you home."
"Nah, I'm fine, goodnight!"
You waved to him as you walked away and turned onto your street.
No use in running now, I know I'm already late.
You walked slowly, dreading getting yelled at. Your mind was racing, you had been through so much today, coming back to school after being in the hospital, trying a new quirk, fighting with Shoto, what happened at Katsuki's, your old unwanted memories.
You were overwhelmed.
You stood in front of the door to your apartment and took a deep breath before entering.
"Shota, I'm here!" You called looking around.
The lights were on but that's because you never turn them off.
"Shota?" you didn't get a response
You scanned your kitchen and didn't see him anywhere after dropping your stuff and closing the door you checked your phone.
You rubbed your face and sighed in relief.
One less thing to worry about, thank god.
You collapsed on your couch too tired to even get changed.
You didn't want to have to think about anything that had happened.
I'll deal with it tomorrow, for now, I sleep.
Just as you were about to fall asleep your phone buzzed.
You usually would have left it but you saw a familiar contact name pop up on the screen and decided to answer.
Why the frick frack is Katsuki texting me?
I cannot believe he just left me on read
You threw your phone onto the coffee table and closed your eyes, not caring about anything but sleep.
You woke up in a cold sweat and shivered not only from the temperature.
You got up off the couch and checked the time
3:28 am huh
You changed into your pajamas and lay in your bed remembering your dream and the events that followed slowly drifting back to sleep.
You had stayed a week at the Todoroki's, all you did was cry until you couldn't anymore. You shared a room with Shoto and he would sit with you all day while you wept, not saying anything just playing with your hair.
Eventually your uncle Shota showed up to take you with him, you didn't put up much of a fight.
Everyone tried to get you to talk but the only thing you managed to say was,
"I lost them."

Avaria: A Pay To Win Adventure
Avaria is a game like world where the wealthy are the strong. Want more strength, a specific skill or spell, well there's an item for that. If you can get it of course. These items are rare and far from plentiful, hoarded by the wealthy that can afford them. Acquired from Avaria itself, these items are dropped from strong monsters and dungeons, so if someone doesn't have the money, they must get it the hard and dangerous way. Don’t worry though, even the poor are born with at least one skill or spell that could help them in life, apart from the basic mana skills that everyone is born with. Usually these skills and spells are passed down from a parent. Of course, that doesn't mean they can use it. Any skills from birth are locked and unusable to start. Unlockable through great effort and practise, something many are unable to do without some guidance. There is another much quicker way however, through gaining experience from killing monsters and using that experience to unlock it. Adam is a human summoned to this world from earth. What effect can he have on this world when he is given a skill that he knows can be used to help many people, with the desire to do just that. Unfortunately it won't be so easy, as there are many obstacles in his way. It’s a cruel world, but he will have help and doesn’t have to do it alone as he meets new companions and makes friends along the way. Lianna is another human from earth who is summoned the same time as Adam. Though things go much differently for her as she is quickly enslaved, beaten and tortured. Unable to understand what her enslavers are telling her, she has a difficult time following through with the commands given to her. Forced to fight creatures and level up against her will. Authors Note: Aiming to post 1 chapter/week, while writing at least 1 chapter/week.

Redshirt: The Journey
Freedom and Order. Peace and War. Love and Hate. Hundreds of young children awaken in a damaged world, on the brink of societal collapse, witnessing the birth of an omnipotent system. Their roles are pre-determined, yet the very fabric of reality lie in their hands. The order of the world shapes them, just how they are free to shape the world in their disparate visions. Each choice, each action, each word, has consequences that reach far beyond their perception. Freedom or Order; ashes in the wind, or the gilded chains. Updates at least every Monday, Thursday, and every other Sarturday, (from 26/11/2021). This is primarily a story exploring what it means to be human, using a lens of a hopefully real-feeling fantasy world. This story is not a power fantasy or a traditional Litrpg , while it has elements of these genres, it will focus on how these tropes would influence real people and possibly Redshirt will break some of these tropes along the way. There will be a variety of different characters and perspectives, some you hate, some you love, and some that will frustrate. Just as all people do. I don't believe there will be anything overly traumatic or explicit, but it's better to be safe than sorry. There will be some heavy topics explored, the characters views do not reflect the authors; however, if there is an issue in how I present/understand these issues please do tell me, and I will try my best to rectify it.
