《Snatched》Chapter 17

"Oh, hi Sho, please don't kill me."
The boy glared down at you obviously annoyed. You knew that Shoto was not exactly happy with you at the moment and this certainly didn't help.
"Oh damn! Y/n are you okay?" Deki asked walking towards you.
"Yeah, I'm good, that wasn't one of my finer moments I have to say."
Kirishima shook his head "No kidding that was pretty stupid Y/n."
"Kiri! You're so mean." You leant over Shoto's arm towards Ururaka.
"Hey, Ochako, are you alright. Sorry for the scare."
"Oh don't worry about me Y/n I feel great! Maybe hold off on using my quirk outside though, that could be bad."
You shuddered at the thought of floating up into the air and not being able to get down. You glanced up at Shoto he hadn't put you down and your classmates were giving him weird looks.
Let's deal with this now.
"You guys go ahead and get lunch I'll catch up in a bit, I'm feeling kinda dizzy."
Izuku sent Shoto a look you couldn't place "You sure Y/n."
"Yeah, I'll go see Recovery Girl."
The few people in the class left to go and have lunch but Shoto still hadn't moved. You shifted uncomfortably in his arms.
"Hey Sho," you said softly "Can you put me down?"
After a second of complete silence and stillness he set you gently on the ground.
You took a deep breath at turned to face him.
"Okay, Sho, what is going on? You've been acting weird since I woke up. I know that you're upset because I was reckless at the USJ but it's nothing that hasn't happened before."
He looked down at you, his gaze cold and his face stoic.
"You cant be so careless Y/n." his voice was void of emotion.
You sighed, you knew this was coming, you had had this conversation before.
"I know, look I'm sorry Sho but it won't happen again."
"Yes it will."
You were hit with a wave of frustration usually he wound't press you, he would understand, but not this time.
"What was I supposed to do? I had to protect everyone!"
"No, Y/n, you didn't."
You suddenly were reminded of the many conversations you had with Izuku about him hurting himself and getting into trouble. You understood why he did it, he couldn't sit by and watch people get hurt. And neither could you.
You threw you arms into the air "Shoto, I couldn't watch my friends get thrown around and hurt by those villains!"
The pained look on his face made you drop your arms to your sides.
"Then why did I have to watch you."
"..." you opened your mouth and closed it again.
"Every time Y/n."
You couldn't think of anything to say as he left you standing alone in the classroom.
***
For the rest of the day you sat at you desk staring blankly at the front of the classroom. Shoto sat beside you in his desk but he acted like you weren't even there. You couldn't remember the last time you and Shoto had a fight like this. Probably because you hadn't.
He was always kind and calm, he only really got upset when you passed out from your quirk.
How did I not notice he got more and more upset every time I overused my quirk. I'm such and idiot!
You felt really bad. You knew what it was like to watch the people you care about get hurt and Shoto had to watch you over and over again.
Your guilty thoughts were interrupted by the bell signaling the end of the day. You grabbed your stuff and slowly walked to the door, still cursing yourself for being so naïve.
"Why the heck are you all here!?"
"Do you students have some sort of business with our class?"
You glanced towards the door of the classroom to see a hoard of students blocking the way out.
"They're scouting out the competition you idiots, we're the class that survived a real villain attack." Katsuki walked towards to group of students "They want to see us with their own eyes."
You recognized his cocky walk and moved closer to the door to listen.
He addressed the crowd, "At least now you know what a future pro looks like, now move it extras."
"Pppppfftttt." You muffled your laugh with your hand, he was so cocky it was painful.
"So this is what the famous class 1-A looks like," A purple mop of hair moved towards the front of the group, "I heard you guys were impressive but you just sound like an ass. Is everyone in the hero course delusional or just you?"
"Hah! Get wrecked Kat!" you were enjoying this too much.
The guy started saying something about getting into the hero course but you were too busy looking at his face to listen.
He looks familiar, um purple hair, tall, tired. Ohhhh he was the guy who saved me from getting trampled! What was his name, Linso? Nah... oh!
"Shinso!" you exclaimed walking towards him, "Hi!"
He looked shocked to see you, "Y/n? You're in class 1-A?"
"Yep so don't diss me asshat." You frowned at him playfully.
A guy with grey hair started yelling as well but you didn't care what they all thought of you, so you waved to Shinso and pushed your way out of the crowd.
You made it out of the school and looked back at the door. Usually Shoto would walk home with you but you had a feeling he already left.
Your headache wasn't easing up and your heart hurt from guilt.
"Damn I screwed up." You sighed kicking a pebble at the school.
"HEY WATCH IT!"
"Oof sorry Kat!" Your pebble had almost hit him in the head as he walked out the door.
"Fucking idiot." he mumbled walking up to you.
"Me an idiot? Says the guy who made everyone hate our class."
"They don't matter, they're just people to beat."
"Hey hey, that's not how you make friends."
"I don't have any fucking friends."
"Well as your self proclaimed fucking friend I am offended."
He scoffed but you could see a hint of a smile.
You hadn't noticed, but you were walking with him down his road.
"Hhhheeeyyyy Kat."
"What do you want extra."
"Wow what is with you and extras today, anyway I was wondering if you still have Mario Kart."
You didn't want to go home because you would just have time to think about how much you hated yourself. You needed to applogise to Shoto but you couldn't bring yourself to face him. There was still a part of you that thought you were right in what you did at the USJ.

Katsuki didn't answer your question for a second, you waited for him to figure out what you were asking. You could tell he was thinking hard about something.
"Fine."
"Haha yes! Be prepared to get wreaked loser."
You hadn't been to Katsuki's house in a while, but you had decided that as long as he wasn't going to bring up your fight you wouldn't either. You could tell he felt bad and so did you, so might as well forgive and forget, no discussion needed. That was the best way to handle an argument with Katsuki.
The two of you made it to his house and he unlocked the door.
You really missed hanging out with Katsuki, he was one of your best friends after all, even if he was a bit annoying. Because you grew up together, you knew how to deal with him and you enjoyed destroying him in Mario Kart, among other things.
"Is your mother home?" you asked taking off your shoes and breathing in the familiar sent of the Bakugo house.
"The hag is at work until late."
"Sweet."
As much as you loved Mitsuki, she could be a little overbearing sometimes.
You walked into his room and looked around, nothing had changed since you were here last, the only thing you noticed was the Xbox was covered in a thin layer of dust.
I guess he hasn't been using it lately.
You flopped onto his bed and threw your bag onto the ground.
"I'll have you know I have been preparing for the day I would finally win every round."
You snuck a glace at him over your shoulder, he smirked as he turned the Xbox on.
"You can try, but I'll crush you like I always do."
You smiled, you thought that it might be a bit awkward because you hadn't hung out in a while but you could trust Katsuki to drop everything for a competition.
He sat down in his usual place on the floor and you didn't hesitate in taking your position on this shoulders. Ever since you were kids that's how the two of you played video games so you didn't think anything of it but he stiffened.
Okay, Y/n, that was a bad decision but it's fine just play it off.
You nudged him with your foot, "You gonna chose a character or should I chose one for you? I'm thinking Princess Peach."
You reached down to grab his remote but he pulled it away.
"Hell no!"
Thank god, that could have been awkward.
You started playing and eventually he relaxed.
Note to self, don't do that again.
You played a few rounds and it seemed as though you were kids again, not aspiring heroes who had just gone through a villain attack.
"I swear to god extra if you throw that shell I will murder you!"
"Oops!"
"Fuck off Y/n!"
He elbowed you in the stomach and you fell backwards.
"Ugh, when did you get so strong?"
"When did you become a wimp?"
"I'll show you a wimp."
You kicked him hard in the stomach and he doubled over.
"Bitch!"
"Excuse you, watch your langue around your superiors."
He growled and pulled your legs so you fell over his head.
"Hey- augh."
He jumped on top of you and you kneed him in the chest still holding onto your remote. You could feel his wight on you but you were craning your neck to watch the screen.
"Ha! First!"
You turned your head to face him smiling proudly at your win.
He looked down at you pink dusting his cheeks.
"What's wrong-oh."
You were suddenly aware of the position you were in. Katsuki was straddling your hips and his hands were on either side of your head, his remote discarded. He wasn't moving and you were trapped.
Your face flushed bright pink and you cleared your throat.
"Uh, hey Kat, do ya think you could get up?
He suddenly jolted up and looked away.
You sat up and put your remote down, you were about to brush the incident off when you heard yelling from downstairs.
"Y/n? Is that you, these are your shoes!"
How does she know my shoes?
"Yep Mitsuki! I'm here!" you yelled back.
You heard loud footsteps ascending the stairs and you and Katsuki made eye contact.
"Oh no." you whispered.
Suddenly the door flew open to reveal a slightly out of breath Mitsuki.
"Y/n dear!" she pulled you off the floor into a hug. "It's been such a long time! I missed having you around the house. My idiot of a son is all I get to see these days."
"It's nice to see you too Mitsuki." You managed she was hugging the life out of you.
"Hag put her down." Katsuki spoke up.
"HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME THAT WAY" The warm woman turned to her son and whacked him on the head.
"DON'T FUCKING HIT ME."
You giggled, you had really missed Mitsuki... and Katsuki.
Something in the window caught your attention, the stars.
Wait
"Hey Mitsuki, what time is it."
The blond woman stopped her bickering wither her sun and turned to you. "Oh, It's just about 10:30, why?"
The colour drained from your face.
"I'm dead."
You sprinted across the room and grabbed you bag and then ran towards the door.
"Thanks for having me Kat! Bye Mistsuki."
"Wait Y/n!" Katsuki's mother grabbed your arm before you launched yourself down the stairs. "What's going on, should I be worried?"
"Shotahhhhh my uncle, " you caught yourself, not even your closest friends new your relationship with your teacher, "He's going to check on my apartment at 10:45 to make sure I'm not dead. If I'm not there he will literally kill me."
Shota had insisted on coming over tonight because you, after all, still had a concussion and tended to be clumsy without one. If you weren't there, worse if he knew you were at Katuki's house until 10:30, you would be murdered.
You glanced over at Katsuki, he looked confused, which was fair, a lot had hapend in the span of a few minutes.
"I'm really sorry I have to go!"
You ran out the door and threw yourself down the stairs, literally.
"Ow. Fuck. Oof. Damn."
"Y/n? Are you okay?"Masaru was sitting in the kitchen and had witnessed you trip down the stairs.
"Yep I'm fine! Bye Masaru!"
You grabbed your shoes not bothering to put them all and sprinted out the door.
"What the fuck." Katsuki mumbled watching you race down the street.
