《Protected by BTS》Chapter 25: Operation Hoseok

Hoseok was barely conscious in the backseat. You ignored his enormous muscular body weight and focused on assessing what was wrong with him. He was bloody and scraped in a few places but couldn't tell which wound was fatal. You could feel a small lump from his head, most definitely a severe concussion.
You had thought that to be it until you noticed the agitation in his left leg. It was propped up on the seat and you tried to reach his thigh when he winced in pain.
He grunted in his slumber and shook his head. His gruff voice in pain made you wince as well, not wanting to hurt or injure him any more so. You tried to look closer but the darkness and shadows of the night made it hard for you to make out anything.
Then all of a sudden, Yoongi had parked the car behind Dr. Choi's office. In the small area behind the building, Dr, Choi was waiting for you outside.
Yoongi jumped out of the car and Dr. Choi and him rushed to the back of the car where you guys were. Dr. Choi and Yoongi pulled Hoseok's arms and slung it around their shoulder. They dragged him inside and you followed close behind. Hoseok continually groaned at the movement.
"What happened?"
"An explosion. I don't know how badly he's hurt, I just threw him in the car and drove here." Yoongi said as they dragged him inside the office that you had been in not too long ago.
The office was empty, seeing as it was pretty late at night already. Dr. Choi used his free arm to slap the light switches on and illuminating the once dark room. They laid Hoseok on one of the exam beds and Dr. Choi ran around his office looking for the appropriate tools to operate on him.
You quickly knelt by Hoseok's side and noticed that Hoseok was unconscious yet again. You pushed the hair off of his forehead and just tried to calm him down in his sleep. Yoongi ripped Hoseok'a shirt open, destroying the fabric. He did this to proceed to check for any wounds and only found minor scrapes and newly formed bruises.
"I think I saw something in his leg." You said frantically and Yoongi didn't hesitate to rip open his pant leg. As soon as his hands made contact with the fabric, Yoongi could feel the slick substance of blood on his fingers.

The black material of his pants made it too hard for any of you to tell where he was really bleeding from. Rummaging the skin of his leg, Hoseok hissed and fully woke up from his unconsciousness.
"Aish, hyung that hurts like a bitch." Hoseok's hand immediately gripped onto your arm and you winced at how strong he was. Hoseok didn't notice what he was doing, instead he was so focused on the pain on his leg.
Hoseok's groans were raspy and weak as Yoongi tried to remove the already ripped part of his pants and to expose his injury. Once his left thigh was revealed, your eyes went wide.
"Damn it." Hoseok looked at his leg and threw his head back. "This is going to hurt like hell."
His leg was bloody and looked ripped open with fragments of his skin hanging on to his body. Pieces of shrapnel were lodged into his leg and the sight had tears welling up in your eyes.
Dr. Choi burst into the room with his supplies and started to set things up. He slipped gloves on and was starting to sterilize his scalpel with a lighter before starting to operate on Hoseok's body.
"Wait! Don't we need to put him under? He can't be awake for this?" You yelled in panic.
"Misun, fuck! Does it look like we have the time?!" Yoongi shouted at you in distress. You only nodded and watched Hoseok's anxious expression. He chewed on his bottom lip and scrunched his eyebrows in anticipation for the pain.
Dr. Choi poured a bottle of alcohol all over his leg and Hoseok started to jolt in the exam bed from the pain.
"AGH!" Hoseok squinted his eyes and gripped your arm, digging his nails into your skin even harder. You ignored the forming bruises and the blood starting to seep from your own skin due to Hoseok's nails. He started to try to push you guys away on instinct to the pain but you held him down as best as you could. His grip on your arm helped with your leverage over him but it wasn't enough.
"Aish, he's too strong. I think we're probably going to have to tie him down. Get the zip ties." Dr. Choi ordered Yoongi and he immediately left the room to go get them. "MiSun-ah, call Jungkook. He's the same blood type as J-Hope. He's losing too much blood and I'm going to need a transfusion for operating. My phone is on the counter, please call him."

You reached for the counter, not leaving Hoseok's iron grip on your forearm as he started to fade in and out of consciousness from the pain. Like Dr. Choi said, his phone was on the counter and you quickly unlocked it since there was no password. Searching for his contacts, you found the one listed as 'JUNGKOOK' and started the call. After a few painstakingly long rings, you heard the bunny voice of Jeon Jungkook.
"Dr. Choi-nim! What's-"You cut him off before he could finish. "Jungkook-ah, it's me... Get to Dr.Choi's office now! It's J-Hope oppa he's ... something bad happened."
There was a silent second of pause before Jungkook's deeper voice emerged in seriousness for his hyung, "I'll be there in 5 minutes." Then he hung up the phone and Yoongi burst into the room with the zip ties.
He handed you and Dr. Choi a few in order to restrain him to the bed. You and Yoongi restrained his arms and Dr. Choi had his legs. "Make sure you do more than one, he's strong." Yoongi ordered and you made sure to double the zip ties.
"Strong? Ahhh, hyung~" Hoseok woke up and said deliriously. You smiled melancholy and rubbed his head again.
"You still need to hold his body down, I can't have him moving much." Dr. Choi said before holding various medical instruments in his hand before diving into Hoseok's wound. You held Hoseok's body down and didn't even notice the stinging sensation when his nails left your skin.
"Misun-ah, get a towel over there." Yoongi pointed into the direction and you saw a washcloth on the side. You quickly grabbed the towel and handed it to him. Yoongi folded it roughly and shoved it in Hoseok's mouth.
Just in time, the towel muffled Hoseok's screams as Dr. Choi started operating.
Your heart fell when you saw Hoseok's head fall back in muffled screams. His usual sunshine smile turned into a pained frowned with closed eyes. You noticed the blood from his wound start to spurt upwards and you get a little squeamish. You had a hard time holding him down from his screams and thrashing.
You stood up to push your body weight on his torso and arm as Yoongi took the other side in restraining him. Hoseok's continuous thrashing about was hard to hold down. He was truly very strong and you were thankful that they had thought of restraining him with zip ties. His face went pale and he slowly stopped fighting you. All of a sudden, he went limp. He went unconscious from the pain. You were full on crying at this point, tears continuously falling down your cheeks. Yoongi had left Hoseok's side to start helping Dr. Choi.
"He passed out. That's good." Yoongi said more to himself than to everyone else in the room.
With perfect timing, the door burst open and there stood a worried bunny. Jungkook really meant it when he said 5 minutes. The boy looked out of breath and worried as his presence ran through the door. Jungkook saw his hyung lying unconscious on the table and his blood boiled.
"Jungkook-ah, you know where the stuff is. Have MiSun-ah help you. He needs your blood fast while I get this taken care of." Dr. Choi hadn't even bothered looking since he was so preoccupied with HoSeok's leg.
Jungkook nodded and grabbed what seemed to be a very large first aid kit. He grabbed the two needles and sat where you were sitting not too long ago. He sat next to Hoseok's body and handed you the needle. "Put the needle into my vein and then hook it up with this," he held out a large tube, "clip it in the middle and attach it to this needle and put this needle in J-Hope's vein. Got it?"
You nodded quickly and with shaky hands tried to find Jungkook's vein. He helped guide you find his vein and once you found it, you pushed the needle into his skin. Jungkook barely flinched. You did what he had told you and did the same to Hoseok.
You saw Jungkook's blood being transferred through the tube into Hoseok's body.
You looked at Jungkook's pained and zoned out face, then to Dr. Choi and Yoongi operating, and then to the peaceful sleeping sunshine boy. He looked so peaceful but in reality he was far from that. His face was still pale and sweat glistened off of his forehead.
You held back your choking sobs as you put on gloves and went over to Yoongi and Dr. Choi. "How can I help?"
