《Protected by BTS》Chapter 26: Banana Milk

Dr. Choi has successful operated on Hoseok with the help of you two. You saw the relief on Yoongi's face as Dr. Choi finished wrapping Hoseok's leg in a bandage. "Thank you, Dr. Choi," Yoongi stood up and bowed, "If you excuse me, I-I'm uhm ... gonna go call the others." He said in a hurry and practically ran out the door. You saw his glistening eyes as he spoke and knew he was going outside to cry; the call was just an excuse, even though he was planning on doing that anyways.
Dr. Choi stood up and stretched, cracking his back and neck in the process. "Aish, that was stressful, huh MiSun-ah?" You gulped and nodded.
"I'm going to go lie down to sleep in my office. I was able to remove all the shrapnel from his leg, stop the bleeding, and closed his wounds. He should be fine but let me know if there's any updates on J-Hope. Oh, and make sure Jungkook's okay. He gave a lot of blood." You nodded and looked towards the fatigued boy sitting down next to Hoseok.
You guys had stopped taking Jungkook's blood a while ago but he had given more than he should have. Jungkook looked as if he could pass out at any moment. He was struggling to keep his head up and his back was starting to slide off the chair.
You cupped his chin and made him look at you. "Jungkook-ah, are you alright?" He nodded ever so slowly. "Let's get you lying down hm? Or better yet, I'll find you some food. Okay?" He nodded ever so slowly again, trying to keep his composure. You took note of his rising chest and saw how shallow his breaths were.
"Let's lie you down first though." You helped him stand up and he immediately leaned over you. You gasped at his sudden movement but was able to catch him and prevent him from falling on the floor entirely. You struggled somewhat with his massive body but he noticed and was able to muster up and pull most of his weight. His footing was wobbly as you let him drop onto the bed which was on the other side of the room.

"Can you bring me banana milk?" He said slowly and breathily, his eyelids on the verge of falling. You chuckled, "I'll go look for some for you." Jungkook smiled and laid down.
You rummaged through the refrigerator in what you assumed was Dr. Choi's break room. There were small bottles of banana milk for any kids who came for pediatrics and you grabbed the whole crate. You took some chocolate cookies laying on the counter as well before retreating back to Jungkook.
He was taking extremely deep breaths, nose sniffling, eyes closed, with a hard wrinkle on his forehead. You could see the fresh tears on his cheeks and you decided that you shouldn't let him wait any longer for you.
"Jungkook-ah, drink some." You made your presence known and Jungkook quickly composed himself, pretending like he hadn't been crying just a moment before. You sat next to him and opened the banana milk for him You held it close to his lips in order to help him. He lazily opened his eyes wide, a habit he had when drinking, and took big gulps. He easily finished the milk in one sitting.
You opened the bag of cookies and were about to feed it to him when he pulled your wrist away. "You don't have to keep feeding me." He said, almost reverting back to his cold self.
You rolled your eyes and moved his hand away, "I want to help you. You saved Hobi oppa." He bit and chewed from the cookie in your hand. He gave in and let you feed him. When he was finished chewing, he swallowed before saying, "He's my hyung too." Jungkook looked away from you and towards the sleeping Hoseok in the other bed.
"Dr. Choi said he should be fine so how about we take care of you first. We don't need another patient now do we?"
Jungkook nodded his head as he took another bite from the cookie in your hand. He reminded you of a little baby being fed since his eyes were closed as you continued to feed him cookies. Every now and then, you gave him his banana milk.

You chuckled slightly every time he gulped down big swings of the banana milk.
"What?" He asked defensively.
You burst out laughing, "You drink that banana milk like you live off of it."
"I do live off of banana milk. It's very tasty!" He said with emphasis but very quietly, still low on strength. You let the matter go and continued feeding him.
Eventually, he had finished the bag of cookies you were feeding him and you went to go throw away the bottle of banana milk bottles with the empty bag of cookies. You turned your back on him and while you were turned away, Jungkook stood up. He started walking towards the door and you turned around just in time.
"Jungkook? What are you doing?" He opened the door and walked down the hallway.
"I'm going to find who in the hell that did that to hyung." He stormed down the hallway. Jungkook was halfway to the front door when he started to feel dizzy again. Black dots started filling his vision and he used the wall to support himself. Even though he ate, he still hadn't digested all of the food and so he was still very weak.
"You can't-," You started but then gasped when you saw Jungkook start to fall. "Jungkook!" You ran towards his falling figure and was able to catch his upper body. He fell gracefully into your lap and his hands pinched the bridge of his own nose, trying to get a grip.
Coincidentally, a few feet in front of you, the front door opened and in walked Seokjin, Namjoon, Jimin, and Taehyung. They watched as you caught Jungkook's head and they ran to you guys.
"Jungkook!" They all yelled in unison.
You rolled him over so you could properly hold his head. "Jungkook-ah, stop being stupid."
"What's wrong with him? Where's J-Hope?" Namjoon asked anxiously.
"He wanted to go find who did that to Hoseok oppa but he gave a lot of blood. He should be resting." You glared daggers at Jungkook's fatigued body. "Hoseok is in that room over there. He's still unconscious but Dr. Choi said he should be fine. I was watching him earlier but I have to take care of this baby." You pokes Jungkook's cheek and he rolled his eyes.
"Where's Yoongi oppa?" You asked when you realized that he wasn't in the group.
"He's not with you?" Seokjin asked and you looked scared.
"I mean he left to go call you guys but I haven't seen him since. Why?"
Jimin ran around the office and Taehyung looked around outside for a few seconds. They came back and shook their heads. "Damn it, he's gone already."
"Yoongi oppa? Where would he-"
"I'll stay here with Hobi and Dr. Choi. Hyung, Jiminie, Tae... find him before he does something stupid." They nodded and ran out. You were confused as ever and started to help Jungkook stand up.
"Yoongi hyung gets really worked up when something like this happens to one of us. Don't worry about him. I'll watch over Hoseok. You and Jungkook-ah go home. Make sure he doesn't leave and over exert himself, he tends to do that a lot." Namjoon said more calmly.
"Jungkook-ah, you're responsible to get her home. That means you can't run out on her and you better stay at home with her or else. You can't help any of us if you're sick. You've already saved Hobi so you better get well." Namjoon left no room for argument and Jungkook only huffed in annoyance and nodded.
"You can drive right?" Namjoon helped you stabilize yourself with Jungkook's arm over your shoulder. Namjoon didn't wait for your response as he handed you his car keys and left to go take care of Hoseok.
Can you drive? Well ... technically yes.

My Hundredth Life
I was an ordinary guy, living an ordinary life, until it happened. What we came to call the "Reality Break". Monsters started spawning in the streets, Mana flowed through our veins, Skills and Abilities were unlocked, and everyone had a Status Screen. I was living my dream, an RPG apocalypse! Until I died, that is. And woke up in a new world...where I died again. And again. With each death, a new incarnation, a new game world, and new scars upon my soul. Now, at my 99th death, I just wish it would end...but unlike in some of the worlds I have "played" in, this time my wish is not granted. *** Author's Note: This is my first 'serious' attempt at writing a story. I am hoping to turn ths into a series that I can publish to Amazon, but my life is a bit hectic right now, so I can't make any guarantees. However, I have serious reasons for writing at this point in my life, so I will do my best to provide this new twist to the LitRPG genre and keep it up for as long as possible. Thank you, to anyone who reads this. *Also, tags might change depending on how the story goes, there may be mild profanity or mild sexual content, but I have not decided yet.
