Note:

This chapter contains vulgar language and slight gore, be prepared!

In the last chapter (Chapter 83, Which way to go) You could choose whether to turn one way back to the door or another way. If you didn't choose just yet then go back to chapter 83 and choose.

If you did pick your decision then consider all of the above not written and go on with the story!

Left, right, left, left, right, straightforward, left, right, straightforward, right, right, left, left.

That's it!

That is exactly the way you remembered!

~~

You just kept following Jeff through all these corridors; it was like a maze to you. He constantly came to more corridors, and then he took a turn. How he even knew this all from his head was a mystery, but you were certain that this would be the end of a person if they get lost in here. You tried your best to keep track, just in case something would happen.

Left, right, left, left, right, straightforward, left, right, straightforward, right, right, left, left.

~~

Yes... you had walked with Jeff... And with Hoodie. Followed them both through this dark, cold and appalling maze. Almost clinging to the two men, afraid that every wrong step would end up with the sweet kiss of death from a killer.

God had not forsaken you yet and the feeling of power entered your veins. Your wide eyes relaxed a little bit more as you took a deep breath, calming all your nerves.

You needed utter concentration right now.

This maze was extremely dangerous, and you knew one wrong move could end in your endless torture or death.

You turned your body towards the open room, trying to remember if the door had been on your left or right side when you came here... Sniffing loudly your memory recalled the horrendous experience and thus showing you, the door had been on your left.

So...

You needed to go left now.

Rubbing your broken hand, you now noticed how cold your limbs were. Your body was completely unbalanced, feeling warm and cold at the same time. Your muscles were sore yet trained and your bones felt like they could snap any minute.

Lingering here any longer wouldn't be good for your body either. If you wouldn't die from any of those monsters you'd die from the intensifying cold.

Gathering your power, energy and determination you started walking. The darkness slowly ebbed away, gathering behind you quickly as you came to the first split. Your mind recalled the way over and over again, like a broken tune unable to quit.

Left.

Your ears peaked in interest at every sound which was heard. The dripping of water, the squeaking of a mouse... The sound of feet slowly tapping on the cold, concrete floor...

That time E.J. had chased you rung through your thoughts and you couldn't help but to count your own footsteps very carefully. You were damaged beyond repair and every sound you couldn't place would be considered as hazardous.

Right.

You licked your upper lip, heart beating in your head as your eyes scanned every stone, every stain and every so-called wraith of the mind. You couldn't get distracted right now. You needed to remind yourself of the way, remind yourself that once you're out here you're in a powerful negotiating position.

Left.

Of course... You knew negotiating with killers had gone wrong the first time... But you wouldn't make that mistake two times in a row. This damned key was the cause and the solution to your demise and you were sure as hell going to use it.

Well... Not for yourself but more for your friends. You would hold on to it, keep it until you would see your friends walking out of this building alive... Something deep inside of you was hoping that you would be walking among them... To your family... To your freedom...To your old life.

Left now.

But until then you needed to get out of here, you needed to hurry up and get to the safety of Jeff's room with the key. Your hand was still clenched painfully tight around the key, but you were too afraid to loosen it. Afraid that it might fall on the ground. Afraid that you might lose the small object forever and with that the connection to your friends.

Right, yes that was it.

You felt something at your feet. Something slimy and slippery. When you had quickly casted your eyes down you realized it were a few small worms, all huddled up together in a hole in the ground. Pursing your lips into a small line you tried to wipe the remains away on the floor, before you gave it little attention and walked forward.

Keeping your eyes away from your surrounding for too long might prove dangerous in these corridors.

Straightforward next...

You didn't dare to breathe loudly, afraid that the action might disguise an important sound. As if the killers were waiting for you to slip up, to make their move and dig their knives deep into your small frame.

You were frightened to the bone walking through these hallways and you were damn sure they could smell your fear from miles away.

Left.

The only little light which pushed the darkness further to where it came from was this key. This key and the capabilities it had. Your fear was suppressed and the need to get going grew stronger with each second.

You were getting closer and closer.

Right.

You then suddenly stopped, heart beating even faster as your ears caught an unusual sound. You held your breath, head turned towards the back a little more to see if your mind wasn't playing any trick on you.

"hehehe"

Your eyes widened, and you immediately glanced at the corridor behind you. There indeed WAS a sound, and not a normal one either. It was the high, pitched sound of a small child... The high-pitched sound of something innocent mixed with something devious.

Something devilish.

You stood completely frozen to the ground, as still as could be in order to hear better. Was it Sally again? Was she here?! Did she know that you're out of the room and waiting to slash at your unexpecting form?

"hehehe"

Okay, whatever it was you sure as hell weren't going to sit here and find out. You managed to get your body to move, shooting out of the corridor and straight into the next one.

Straightforward.

You bolted into the passage, not even daring to look behind you. Without any regard for the cause of the sound or any lingering killers you speeded through. You were almost there, way too close to let some dead little girl fuck everything up now.

Right.

The giggle intensified in sound and frequency and you knew you had been spotted. She knew you were there, she knew you were running away from her. Your mind became blinded with memories and feelings of the last time you got chased through this maze.

You didn't want to relive that again.

Right.

With only two turns left you dared to challenge faith and look back, glaring over your shoulder into the ceaseless darkness. Nothing, absolutely nothing was seen but you knew better than to let your guard down.

You were close. Running or walking now wouldn't make that much of a difference, other than time. You heard your own footsteps, being completely aware that there must be someone following behind you.

But you didn't hear any other sounds.

Left.

This was it, the last corridor and turn before you would see that metal door. Before you and the key would be a whole lot safer. Not out of danger, not even close to... But a lot safer than lingering in this beehive, ready to get stung for stealing a little bit of honey.

You saw the turn and without even thinking of the perpetrator you readied yourself for the next corner.

Left.

The darkness was too dense to see anything, too massive to see the end of the corridor. It was trying to disguise the door and the longer you ran the better of a job it did. You didn't slow down, completely confident that the door would show up at the end of it...

But it didn't.

You had to dig your heels into the concrete, your skin being peeled off as you nearly slammed against something hard. Something cold, big... But extremely common in this maze... You were practically surrounded by it...

It was a wall.

Shit, that couldn't be true, right?! You had taken every turn correctly! Your thoughts quickly reenacted the past few minutes, displaying every turn and corner you passed. You didn't linger from the track, did you? Made a wrong turn?

Left, right, left, left, right, straightforward, left, right, straightforward, right, right, left, left.

Yes! What did you do wrong?!

Another giggle close behind you made you turn immediately, gazing at the pitch-black dot at your rear. This wasn't true... This couldn't be right! Your eyes frantically searched around, seeing that the only thing you could do was go left or right.

You delve deeper into the maze that way.

The giggle came close and closer and before you could decide on what way to go you saw something tiny expanding from the darkness. The black slowly faded away, revealing a colorful, wonderful little doll.

Another giggle was heard, and you didn't need to think twice that it came from the small, plastic child. You took a step back, eyes fixed on the puppet as it took a step closer. It did not look dangerous... No... It looked innocent, cheerful maybe.

But you were in a house filled with murderous monsters. This doll was as dangerous and parlous as any other thing 'living' in here. You swallowed the chunk in your throat as you watched the doll taking small steps towards you.

This was bad, you had to get away.

When you turned, however, you saw how horrendous this situation actually was. Out of the darkness lingering in the corridor to your left came several, small manes. These shades soon turned into more lifeless, walking and giggling little dolls.

Your head snapped to the right, ready to get the hell away from your spot. But the same sight greeted you there as well.

Completely in panic you turned towards the corridor in front of you, wondering if you could speed right over that monstrous creature. But she was now joined by others, all giggling and waiting for you to make a wrong move.

They closed in on you ever so slowly, not talking or making any other sound than that terrifying giggle. You backed away even more as they closed in on you, ready to just take the leap and bolt right through the small things.

You didn't get far though, because at the first step one of them had jumped at you. In a flinch you saw how her mouth opened, how her pointy and sharp teeth were shown to you. How you felt those teeth digging in your leg.

You stumbled from her weight, crashing onto the ground as more dolls began to jump on you. Feeling their teeth digging deeper and deeper into your skin until all your nerves had been cut through.

You hand was still desperately clenching the key and even as life faded from your eyes you wouldn't let go. The only thing left when they were done with you was an empty, skinless pile of bones.

Oh no! You chose wrong! Go back to chapter 83: which way to go? And choose: Right, right, left, left, straightforward, left, right, straightforward, left, right, right, left, right.
