The Day this book was finished, and the day it no longer received any updates while the collection of Smut/Fluff/regular Tanner shorts was released and posted to my account with all intentions of it being worked on in full. Similarly, it was also when a now left unfinished Connor fanfiction was started.
Still to this day, I get a lot notifications about this book in particular. Maybe it's because I was one of the very first to release a fanfiction regarding Tanner or maybe it was out of the sheer luck. Either way, almost a month ago was it's anniversary, and now that I'm officially 16 and have improved exponentially as a writer I feel it's time I answer a few questions regarding it. As there are a few questions left in this book that I never bothered to answer/left others to answer.
If I'm being honest; I have no idea. Although I have gained quite the following from my work, I highly doubt there's anything else I'd be interested in writing in. I have thought - on occasion - about recreating "Distractions", but if I do, I'd release it all in one sitting instead of releasing slow updates like I had when I started.
I released author's notes at the end because I myself hate it when authors leave entire chapters dedicated to just notes/things relating to their personal lives. To me, it's a form of poor writing, as what goes on in our personal lives should not matter to the reader/book (as horrible as that is to say). If something is late, then it's late, there's nothing needed to justify why something may or may not arrive on schedule or arrived a month later. And if it does arrive late; then simply just telling the reader at the end that you had personal business is all they need to know. From writer/reader to writer, just release things when you want to release them.

As much as it might hurt to say; yes. Distractions isn't poorly written by any means, but it certainly isn't... "good" to say the least. The plot is very bland and is never properly expanded upon while the characters themselves feel awkward and at times do things that are... How do I put this? questionable to say the least. Such as the highly commented upon, "Reader puts their hands on Tanner in a very inappropriate matter without consent"!
If I were to completely rewrite Distractions, something like THAT would be removed instantly. I don't want to set a president/normalize sexual harassment and nonconsensual touching as "okay" in the slightest and the fact I thought putting that in the book itself was even tiniest bit funny/alright really grosses me out. Otherwise, improvement to the smut chapters and just more chapters in general would probably be the only other inclusion.
Y/N could see his footprints because although it isn't expanded upon; her land is slightly muddy more than it is grass. Additionally there was meant to be an implication that his shoes had gotten dirty and that dirt could be seen on the pavement. However, because of 15-year-old me's lack of explaining, this was never touched upon.
Now, this is one that I would heavily say is up for debate, but if memory does serve me right; Yes. I would NEVER write a rape fanfiction, and the fact people believed this was what I was doing honestly kind of hurts, man. Chapter 4 was the setup and consent, chapter 5 was the sex that occurred because of that consent. I know I was damn virgin (still am) and I was someone who couldn't write, but for god's sake PLEASE don't take chapter 4 as a sudden rape scene.
This wasn't actually her cunt, it was meant to be her body FROM her body wash. I believe this misconception came from one comment that then spiraled into several others.

You don't get any, fuck you.
SURVEY SAYS:
No. You can stop beefing with said eggs now.
Don't.
Okay, but seriously, as someone who studies a lot of Japanese culture and can speak Japanese please DON'T call me that at all. As
1. That's not proper Japanese etiquette
and
2. That - as a now Pangender - makes me uncomfortable.
Please stop.
Anyways, to wrap this up, I would just like to say thank you for your continued support and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Yet again; there MAY be a chance I actually release a complete rewrite of 'Distractions' but it mostly depends on reception and my mental health. I'll see you again if I do though, but for now; goodbye and have a nice day.

Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.

Which was a nice way of saying his soul was sucked through space, torn and shredded, and shoved into a conceptual body.ie, he appeared in the Hall of the Gods suddenly. Without clothing. This would have been simply an amusing anecdote if he wasn't then instantly yanked out of the Hall of the Gods by a person who appeared to be cos-playing a cross between a plumber and accountant. Oh, and he had a grip like iron and could freeze the other gods at will. A small detail, but a concerning one.Now Dale is forced to deal with being a God, a Dungeon Core, and act as the lynchpin in a divine universe jailbreak attempt.Oh, and of course, the Gods still have all the drama that you would expect.
