Alexander's POV

"ALEXANDER TAVISH, GET OFF YOUR BROTHER THIS INSTANT!" Instantly, my fist dropped. Mother?

"MOTHER!" Parker yelled and ran over to her, followed closely behind by Des and Fang. I looked down at Kane and slowly got up.

Slowly, he opened his eyes and stumbled to his feet. He wasn't in good shape but that's one of the perks of being a Vampire . . . we heal fast. His pride on the other hand, not so fast.

"Not gonna give your mother a welcoming hug Alexander?" She asked me. Walking over to her, I hugged her and left a light kiss on her cheek.

"Hello mother."

"Now, what was that all about?" I lowered my head and didn't answer. "Hmm, very well. Don't let it happen again." I nodded once. "Good."

"Mother, what are you doing here?"

"Did you think I would miss my oldest son's 400th birthday? I think not. Has he arrived yet?" Knowing she was referring to my father I simply shook my head.

"Hello Alexander." I froze where I stood. No, no, no! I can't deal with this! Looking up, he appeared.

"Mother, a word!" I demanded, walking into the other room before she could even respond. This was NOT okay!

"Alexander darling, come now-"

"Mother, why would you bring him here!" She sighed and walked over to the chair and sat down.

"I would love some tea, thank you for asking." I just shook my head and just stared at her.

"Mother, you don't even fucking drink tea! Now answer me!" Her head snapped up and I realized I had pushed a fine line, but I was still so angry!

"ALEXANDER YOU WILL SHOW ME SOME RESPECT!"

"No mother, you will show me some! This is my home and I want him out!" I screamed at her, completely shocking the both of us in the process. I have never spoken out of line to her, I'd never dream of it, but . . . she went too far!

I left the room, unable to be anywhere near her or Him at the moment and headed back to the dungeon.

Alex, I'm sorry, please forgive me! It meant nothing! I was hurt and upset about seeing you with someone else, I thought I meant nothing to you, but I'm still sorry! Please!

I could hear her begging me in her thoughts, and oddly . . . a part of me wanted to forgive her.

When I reached the door, I could hear her light sobbing. Did she know I was here?

I love you so much . . . I'm sorry.

The second I heard that I opened the door and headed inside . . .
