"Aizaaaaaa" Kareem called as he came through her front door.
She rolled her eyes as he jumped up each stair. She was quickly discovering that Kareem was a big kid.
"Hi Kareem" she said as he jumped on her bed.
"How was your day?" He asked scooting up to lay his head in her lap.
She instinctively started rubbing his back "It was good, I had one of my first maternity shoots" Skai gushed.
He smiled "Can I see the pictures?"
Skai's face lit up as she rushed to get her computer. Kareem smiled as she clicked through every look and broke down the concepts.
"These nice baby" Kareem said getting up to turn the game on.
"Why did you even put one of them in my house?" Skai asked with her face scrunched up.
"Aiza don't start, I asked you" he said.
She rolled her eyes and instantly got an attitude "Bruh, you asked but I-"
"You told me it was 'whatever' Aiza" He interjected.
Aiza knew exactly what she said, but she felt that he was supposed to read how she gave the response. Meaning her tone.
"But-" she started causing him to turn towards her.
"Aiza, if I asked you for your permission or if you was comfortable with something, be truthful with the answer cuh" he said unplugging the game.
She eyed him "Imma take this back to my house, I'll see you later" Kareem scoffed.
As the front door slammed shut, Skai started to feel bad. She started on dinner and decided to just give him space.
_____________
"How we manage to make both of them mad?" Maya laughed as Skai gave her some of the pineapples she had cut.
She decided to make pineapple bowls for dinner. Then Maya had came over to tell her about an argument she just had with August, which resulted Skai telling her what happened too.

"I feel bad though because he's right" Skai huffed.
"Well why didn't you just stop him and apologize?" Maya asked.
"Because I wanted to give him space" she said.
Maya nodded and then got a text from August. "August is outside, but I want my food" Maya whined.
Skai laughed and took out Tupperware containers "Just take these two for you and August" she said making Maya smile.
"Thank youuuu" Maya said walking towards the door, only to be hit by the door opening.
"Gahdamn Kareem" Maya laughed walking past him.
Kareem headed into the kitchen and found Skai with her back turned. He walked up on her and wrapped his arms around her waist, causing her to jump.
"What you made?" He mumbled into her neck.
She smelled him and knew he was high "Umm pineapple bowls, I found the recipe on Tiktok. You gotta tell me how it taste" she said shyly.
He kissed her neck a few times then let go "You made me some?"
"Of course, you want yours with shrimp or chicken?" She asked turning the stove off.
"Shrimp" he answered going to sit at the table.
She nodded and plated their food, then headed to the table.
Kareem ate some and nodded "It's good" then he continued eating.
Skai smiled then tried some "What'd you do the rest of the day?" She asked tryna ease some of the tension.
"I was at home counting money with August" he answered. "What you did?"
"Umm just cooked and talked to Maya" she told him.
"Yea, both y'all had us fuck up today" he said getting up from the table to throw his stuff away.
Skai followed him to do the same "Kareem I'm sorry, I never really wanted the game here and I just expected you to know that" she apologized.

He laughed "Bae, you wanted me to know that you didn't want it here even though you told me it was fine?"
"Essentially, but I also said it was 'whatever' but that doesn't excuse it. So I'm sorry, I should've just told you no" she said.
He nodded "It's fine"
She hugged him "You can bring it back" she said into his chest.
"No you didn't want it here so why would I?"
"I feel bad" Skai huffed.
"I'm not bringing it back here because you feel bad, you don't want it in your house"
Skai rolled her eyes cause "You're being difficult"
"Aiza don't play wimme" he said mugging her and pulling away from their embrace.
"Okayyy, just hug me again" she said.
He smiled and rewrapped his arms around her.
"What's you doing tomorrow?" Skai asked pulling them to the couch.
She let him sit down then he pulled her onto his lap. "I gotta meeting from 8-12, then I'm gonna go get a tattoo"
"That's a long meeting" she said.
He nodded "It's about building this apartment complex, I gotta meet with the builder and architect" he explained.
"Can you do a tattoo for me soon?" She asked.
"What you want? It better not be nothing lame Aiza or I'm not doing it" he told her
"What you mean lame?" She asked mugging him.
"I mean like I'm not doing no roses or butterflies on you" he said causing her to roll her eyes.
"That's what I wanted.. you wanna freestyle on me?" She asked causing him to smile.
Freestyles were his favorite tattoo sessions.
"Yea I know what imma do and where imma put it too"
"Where?" She asked eyeing him "No face tats"
He shook his head "Nah but we could do it on Friday, come into the studio after your orientation" he told her.
"Oh I almost forgot about orientation" she said, pulling out her phone to scan her calendar and make sure she didn't forget anything else.
Skai was starting her classes in a few weeks, she was nervous but still very excited. Unfortunately she would have to cut back on photography but she already arranged a schedule so that she can keep a balance.
They sat watching TV and talking about school for a while.
"I wanna fuck" Kareem randomly said then walked to the room with Skai behind him.
