Once again I say. It can be a Key Glock fanfic if Key and Lay don't date. < I'm not saying that they will or won't get back together but keep an open mind.

Not gonna say y'all get on my nerves lol but sometimes some of y'all do.

If you are a day one reader and/or I reply to your comments I'm talking about you lol. I love y'all.

Keep an open mind about Aubree and Key. You never know πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

"You good big bro?" Marlee asked as they walked out of Keisha's house. Markeyvius was mentally drained, from everything he learned today. He wished he could just crawl into his bed and go to sleep.

"I'll be alright. If you heard any of that. None of it leaves my mama's house." Marlee patted the top of his shoulder and hopped into his car once again.

"Heard what?" She asked acting clueless. Marlee was nosey, so she indeed heard everything and even gasped softly when she heard he had killed his father. She giggled when Keisha called her son a bitch but that wasn't supposed to be funny.

The whole ride to King's mansion was quiet, nothing but soft music played in the background of the car.

"Key, here for King!" He spoke into the intercom. It buzzed before the gate opened letting him into the mansions.

When they parked out front, as always King was at the door waiting to greet them.

"How y'all doing?" King asked stepping to the side to allow them into his home. Marlee was always impressed with how nice and clean his house was.

"Could be worse." Markeyvius gave King a look as if to say they needed to be alone so that they could talk.

"I think Ronny over at the girl's mansion if you wanna slide over there," King suggested, at the sound of Ronny's name Marlee got excited.

"See yall lames later." Marlee damn near ran out the door heading over to the girl's mansion to see her boo.

"You want sumn to drink?" King asked pointing to the bar cart with various types of liquors on it. He had made a promise to Lay that he wouldn't smoke or drink, and he planned on keeping that promise.

"Nah. It messes with my meds. I'll take water though." Key sat down on King's couch getting comfortable. Coming over to see his brother made him feel safe. King would never judge him or make him feel like he was an outcast.

"Here you go. What's going on witcha?" King asked sensing something was wrong with his brother. Key took a sip of his water and sighed before replying. He was fidgety for a second, a blunt and two cups were calling his name but he knew that would make it worse.

"My mama just told me why she went to prison." Key looked down at his water bottle and expected King to ask why but he didn't. Looking up, he saw King adverting his eyes elsewhere.

"King?" Key called out, but his brother just stirred the ice cube in his glass. "Yo ass knew?"

"Mimi may have told me. I was going to tell you but that wasn't my place. Plus you've been having so much going on with Eli and Lay, the new baby I wasn't going to add onto that." Key understood completely and was grateful for that. Had he found out any sooner he probably would've gone further down a rabbit hole.

"Speaking of Lay. I need your opinion on something. I'm gonna get a paternity test, you think I'm doing too much?" He asked finishing his bottle of water.

"Damn. Why do you say that?" King asked baffled, Lay was far from innocent but lying about a baby didn't seem like her thing.

"Mane, Arnell ass lied on me and Brittany ass! Not to mention Brittany's ass just died today of an od." King made an o with his mouth, every time he saw Key his ass was going through it.

"I mean, I can see why you say that. Just to be safe, I don't see why not. Ian know Brittany was on that shit. How are you coping with all this?" King asked concerned, whenever Key had a lot on his plate, it weighed heavily on his BPD.

"I have been going to the boxing ring and releasing my emotions. Plus therapy and I've been taking my medicine. Just pray for a nigga." Key chuckled, it felt like a lot of pressure was released off of him just by talking to King.

"Gotta stay prayed up. Livin' how we livin'." King chuckled too, "Don't you have a date tonight?"

"I shole do. You care if I go take a nap real quick?" Key was drained but he had a little while before he had to pick up Aubree.

"Fasho. You know where everything is at."

Key walked upstairs towards the guest bedrooms, picked one, and completely crashed. His whole day disappeared with his dreams.

Marlee cheesed as she happily skipped over to the girl's mansion. She saw Ronny's jeep outside so she knew that she was home.

Ding. Dong

"Hey, Mar. Come on in." India cheesed, she knew that Key wasn't too far behind if Marlee showed up.

"Hey, girl! You smell good."Marlee giggled as she embraced India. Going to the girl's mansion was always super fun, there was always something going on.

"Why thank you. Follow me, Ronny is in our room helping Aubree get ready for the date." India closed the door before walking toward the stairs.

"How does one inquire about working here?" Marlee asked as they walked down the long hallway towards the room.

"You should've asked King while you were over there." India laughed, Marlee was not about to get her caught up. Even if Key and Chalynn were broken up, she knew that Key still looked at her as a little sister. "Ronny, I have a visitor for you," India smirked as Marlee stepped from behind her.

"M-Marlee, hiii!" Ronny dragged out as she turned her head to face the two girls. Slowly getting off the bed, she came over and hugged Marlee. Mar wrapped her arms around her waist, almost awkwardly. Ronny had always been super excited to see her but now, it was different.

"Hi pretty. Come hug me." Aubree stated to save Ronny, she sat in her robe at her vanity as she applied her makeup.

"Hi, Bree Bree. You look beautiful." Marlee beamed as they released from their hug.

"You are too sweet. Key over there getting ready?" Aubree asked going back to fixing her makeup.

"They kicked me out so. I'm not sure." Marlee shrugged, Ronny had barely said two words to Marlee since she got into the room. India nudged her while Marlee looked around the room, so she didn't notice.

"You hungry, Marlee?" Ronny asked scratching the back of her neck.

"I-I guess. Key was dragging me all over the city getting ready for this day." Marlee sighed and Aubree perked up at the sound of that. He was being thoughtful and thinking the date through. Not just throwing shit together. That made her even more excited.

"Okay, come on. Bree if you need me, just text me." Ronny said as she grabbed Marlee's hand and pulled her out of the room.

"You not feeling me no more or something?" Marlee asked grabbing Ronny's waist and raising her eyebrow. Marlee's heartbeat was beating a mile a minute, she didn't know how she was going to react if Ronny did say she wasn't into her anymore.

"W-why you say that?" Ronny asked, she thought maybe somebody had told her about Easton.

"A bitch can't get a kiss? I got a whack ass hug." Marlee damn near wanted to cry. What started as fun now and then turned into Marlee loving Ronny.

"I'm sorry Mar, it's just been a lot going on ever since thanksgiving. Planning for the aspen trip and trying to stack as much as I can before that." Ronny sighed and Marlee nodded her head relieved.

Ronny grabbed Marlee's cheeks and pecked her lips several times before giving her another hug.

"It's okay. Well, if you're not busy. I was hoping we could chill today." Marlee asked nervously.

"Of course boo! I think India is going with Marcus and Aubree will be out with Key so, you are more than welcome to stay." Again, relieved Marlee relaxed a little bit.

She could only hope that this day together would turn out well. If not, she didn't know what she was going to do.

Key put on his bowtie as he walked out of the guest bedroom he had taken a nap in. He felt much better and much more energized.

"Aight nigga, I see you!" King exclaimed as he dapped Key up. Markeyvius brushed his hands down his suit and cheesed.

"You see me?" He asked doing a small spin before sitting on the steps to put his shoes on.

"You ready for Aspen?" King asked, he was ready for a much-needed vacation. He knew his brother needed it just as much as he did.

"Hell yeah. No lie. My bags are already packed up." Key chuckled, a nice family vacation is what he needed. Just him, his girl, his brother, and the rest of the fam. King had already let everybody know that there was to be no drama on this trip. He had sent far too much money for them to be doing the same thing they do at home. Plus, all the girls were excited as well.

"You better get going. Bree doesn't like to wait and you not going get me beat up for holding you up." King walked towards the double doors.

"You not lying about that one!" Key chuckled before hugging King. "Thank you, King. You don't know how much I needed today. I owe you one." Key said before releasing him.

"It's never a problem. Be safe." King waved goodbye before closing the door once Key was in his car. He took a very short drive to the girl's mansion.

Parking his car he grabbed his, 'I'm sorry gifts' and walked up to the front door. He was nervous, he hadn't seen her since Thanksgiving and a lot has happened since then.

"He's here!" India yelled up the stairs happily. Not only was he dressed up but he had a big bouquet, a HermΓ©s box along with a Cartier box. Key stepped inside of the mansion and smiled nervously at India.

"Hey, India."

"Key!" She waved, ever since his drama at Eli's birthday party he was on her shit list. The clacking of heels coming down the stairs caused him to turn his attention towards Aubree and damn did she look good.

She walked as fast as she could towards him, without seeming too eager.

"Is this stuff for me?" She asked with her eyes all wide, he had been thoughtful. On top of him looking nervous, she could tell he tried to impress her.

"Yes, baby. Do you like it?" He smiled goofily waiting for her to take the items from his hands.

"I love it. Can I open it right now?" She took everything from his hands and sat it on a table near the front door.

"Before you do that. Let me see your phone. I want a picture of you two." India handed Aubree her flowers that she sat down and Aubree gave her, her phone so she could take a picture. Aubree stepped in front of Key and he wrapped his hands around her waist, planting his head in between her neck. Aubree cheesed when key planted a soft kiss on her neck.

"Can you take some on my phone too?" Key handed India his phone and she obliged, she was trying so hard not to root for Key but he was growing on her.

"Ugh. Ya'll are too cute!" India cheesed, handing them both their phones back.

"Open yo presents mama. We gone be late for dinner." Key tried to release her from the hold he had on her but she just smelled and looked so good. Aubree felt right in his arms, like a missing puzzle piece. As she began to walk, he walked with her in the same position they took pictures in.

"Markeyvius!" She giggled so he would back up but she didn't want him to.

"Okay okay!" He released her and leaned up against the wall as she tore apart the HermΓ©s box to get to the bag.

"Oh my God. No, you didn't! I've been wanting this bag forever." She squealed as she held up the purple purse.

"Open it up." Key had stuffed the bag with twenty-five thousand dollars. Aubree looked like she was about to cry but she had spent almost an hour doing her makeup and she wasn't about to mess that up.

Lastly, was her silver Cartier bracelet. Key was happy that she liked her gifts, he picked them out himself so he was a little unsure of what she would say about them.

"Baby, thank you! I love all of it." She smiled and walked over to her man to kiss his lips.

"Come on. Let's go." India had promised that she would put Aubree's things up in their room when they left.

Seeing how happy Aubree was to be around Key only made him more guilty about what he had to tell her. But, he could only pray that being honest with her could allow them to move forward in their relationship.

"Welcome to Mercel, Mr. and Mrs. Cathey. As requested, you two are the only ones dining here tonight." The waiter said as they walked into the dim restaurant. Aubree had been talking about coming here for a while and what better way to bring her here than to rent out the entire space?

"Wow, Key. I am truly in awe." She grabbed his hand and walked them towards the table that had candles lit up on it.

"The best, for the best." He shrugged pulling out her chair so she could slide in.

"Mhm. I've known you long enough to know something's up. So spill." She crossed her arms across her chest and looked at him inquisitively. He was sober, with no liquor, weed, or syrup in his system.

"Can I get your drinks?" The waiter asked, Aubree ordered a Merlot wine and Key got water since they didn't have pop.

"I slipped up with Lay awhile ago." He confessed rubbing his goat tee. Aubree's smile fell but she saw that coming.

"Mm. Key, why do you keep playing with me? Why bother me if you don't want me? Like, be fucking for real." Aubree said instantly irritated, he was always playing these lil ass games with her and she was tired. Sick and tired actually.

"Lay and I are done though. That's what took me so long to take you on a real date. So that I could sit down and talk to you face to face like a man. I suffer from bipolar disorder, and sometimes I go manic. It causes me to do very implosive things. When Dolph died last month, that snapped me completely out of it. I thought Lay and I could work but we simply aren't good for each other because of things that I have done to her. I've been going to therapy and working to better myself. I refuse to make the same mistakes I made with her."

Aubree took a long pause before responding to him. It was the same ole tune over and over again.

"As much as I want to believe you Key. Actions speak louder than words and I'm just going to have to see it." She shrugged and took a sip of her wine.

"I plan on showing you, but it's some more shit I gotta tell you." He sipped his water before continuing.

"Lawd. Don't tell me you have another kid on the way." She rolled her eyes, it was such a beautiful night and here they were talking about serious stuff. She was glad he was being honest but damn, how much more could she take.

"The opposite. This girl from my old hood, Arnell, tried to pin her son on me. Elianna isn't mine either and that situation is complicated because her mom just died today after I tried to put her in rehab." He had raised Eli since he knew about her until now. As much as he didn't want to be upset about Eli not being his, it hurt, a little.

"Oh, shit Key. So what are you going to do?" Aubree was intrigued. He was a famous rapper though so it made sense why girls would want him to father their child.

"She's going with her grandparents. I love Eli but, it's not my job to raise another man kid." Key kind of got distant for a second and Aubree grabbed his hand.

"That's understandable. She's so cute though. I know that must be hard for you." Key nodded his head from side to side. He didn't want any children, because that meant he was tied to a woman for life.

"Eh. It's aight. When Lay comes back, ima get a paternity test on that baby too." For the most part, he had been there every step of the way of her pregnancy and the dates lined up but, you could never be too sure.

"Wait a minute, why?" Aubree asked, all this tea was a lot to take in.

"Not that I don't believe the baby isn't mine but I just need to make sure. Especially because she slept with somebody else. Somebody close to me."

"Make sure you're doing it for the right reasons. Based on the lil shit you be doing to me I can only imagine what you put her through. Speaking of Lay though, I saw her a few weeks ago." Aubree had cut the steak that was prepared for her. Key had made a menu for the night based on her favorite foods.

"Mm, how'd that go?" Key was genuinely curious. His baby mother wasn't a drama starter but she was a little crazy. In his eyes anyways.

"It went ... well. She is very nice and funny. She even called me pretty. It was awkward at first cause it's like, what do we say to each other?" Key was surprised.

"Oh wow. She was just smacking me for letting you hold Elianna and now she's calling you pretty." Aubree giggled.

"Stop trying to pin us against each other and you won't get smacked." Key chuckled, cause he was being petty and that's ultimately what got him hit upside the head.
