That evening, Razor returned to his house feeling refreshed. Something about being with Bennett made him feel more energized, even if they were laying down the entire time.
"You're back?" Ji Ling asked, "Prepare tomorrow's lunch for the kids." She spoke leaving the kitchen to go to bed.
Razor nodded, grabbing the two lunch boxes and preparing to make their foods. While he cooked, his mind kept wandering to his time with Bennett.
I spoke. Bennett liked it.. he liked my voice..
Razor blushed. I want.. Bennett to like me.
"Razor. Are you sick?" Mei asked.
The male shook his head, cutting up fruits for miniature fruit kabobs.
"But your face is all red. When Liu is sick his face is all red." Mei spoke.
Razor just shrugged.
"Okay if you're not sick can I ask you for something?"
Razor looked at the girl and raised an eyebrow.
"Do you have candy?"
Razor smiled softly, putting the kabobs into small containers and going to grab two pieces from his room. He knew Liu would want one too.
"Thank you!" She smiled, getting down from the barstool and going to her shared bedroom where Liu was waiting to see if she was successful in acquiring candy.

"Razor!" Bennett exclaimed, rushing to sit in his seat the next day,"You left without telling me."
Razor smiled softly at the boy.
Razor:
sorry
i didn't wanna wake
you up just to say goodbye
Bennett huffed,"Yeah but I woke up later and I was so cold."
Razor:
okay I won't do it again
"Thank you." Bennett spoke and the teacher finally entered the classroom.

Bennett sighed, sitting in his chair and barely paying attention. Razor looked over at the male, knowing that Bennett would ask him for help with homework later.
Not that he minded, it gave him a chance to spend more time with Bennett.
"Psst.. Razor." Bennett whispered.
Razor looked over at Bennett curiously.
"Look it's you." Bennett showed Razor a tiny scribble he had completed. It was a tiny doodle of Razor with a little heart next to the face.
Razor tried not to smile, and instead wrote on his paper, It's cute.
"I think it looks like you." He murmured.
"Bennett, could you please answer question five? Since you're talking you must know this entire lesson already, right?" The math teacher spoke.
Bennett froze. "Uh.."
Razor tapped his paper for Bennett to see,"Um.. forty-seven..?"
"..That's correct. But please don't distract your peers with talking."
"Y-yes sir."
Bennett flushed with embarrassment while a few other students snickered.
"Thank you." Bennett mouthed to Razor.

"I don't know what I would've done without you there." Bennett spoke, sitting down with Razor at their usual lunch tree.
Razor shrugged and sent a message.
let's not find out
Bennett read the message,"Agreed." He spoke, taking another bite out of his sandwich. He grabbed his water bottle and found that he was unable to open it.
With pleading eyes he looked up at Razor.
Razor smiled, grabbing the bottle and opening it.
"Thank you." Bennett spoke, taking a sip.
"You're welcome." Razor murmured.
Bennett began to choke on his water, coughing harshly,"Razor."
The male in question rushed to pat Bennett's back and soothe him.
Razor blushed, quickly grabbing his phone, I'm sorry.
"Why?"
My voice.. isn't it surprising to listen to? Are you sure it isn't that bad?

Bennett shook his head. "Razor you know what kind of person I am. I don't think poorly of any part of you. I was surprised yes, but that's literally because you don't talk."
Razor looked down shyly. Right.
"But if you want to try to keep talking with me.. I'll listen."
Razor nodded and after a moment, felt Bennett's arms wrapping around him. The male looked up quickly, Others might see..
"..Razor?" Bennett asked, concerned as to why the male wasn't hugging him back. He began pulling away from the hug slowly.
Razor, not wanting Bennett to let go so soon, panicked and grabbed Bennett by the waist, pulling him close and making him fall into his lap.
Bennett looked at a wide eyed Razor in confusion.
"Uh.."
Razor wanted to smack himself.
Bennett giggled,"Razor what are you doing?" He raised an eyebrow,"This is a bit intimate for a hug."
Razor looked away with a blush and Bennett laughed, getting out of Razor's lap and sitting beside him. "I don't know of any hugs that work that way."
Embarrassing. Razor thought to himself, sending an apology text to Bennett.
"Oh that's okay." Bennett shrugged, "But um.. maybe your special hugs aren't the best to do when we're in the middle of the courtyard during the school day."
Razor turned himself around and pushed his forehead against the tree. I want to die.
"Don't hurt yourself!"
Razor bumped his head against it a second time.
The third time, Bennett put his hand in between the tree and Razor, "Oh ouch." Bennett winced, feeling the bark of the tree on the back of his hand.
Razor pulled away, immediately grabbing Bennett's hand and looking up at the male with a soft glare.
"Bennett." Razor spoke.
Bennett blushed at the voice,"It doesn't hurt that bad.. but why are you hurting yourself?"
Razor shook his head, not wanting to explain.
"..Well fine.. if you don't want to say, that's okay." He looked down and saw how gently Razor was assessing his hand,"And my hand is perfectly fine, see?"
He flexed his fingers, showing the palm of his hand to Razor and turned his hand around to show Razor the back of it. "See?"
Razor nodded.
"Don't be so concerned about me, I'm not weak Razor." Bennett smiled before standing up,"We should head back to class."
Razor stood up with the boy.
"..Also.. I know I said this but I am really grateful that you're comfortable enough to speak around me."
Razor smiled softly and patted Bennett on the head.
Bennett giggled. "Okay let's go."
