(Kaminari's POV)

I wake up a little earlier than usual and checked my alarm clock. What the heck?! How did I wake up an hour before my alarm went off?! Usually, I would wake up late on most days. Guess it isn't one of those days. I shrugged it off and got ready for school.

It was the first day of my second year and I'm still wondering how did I survive my first year with all the villain attacks that has been happening, especially when I go into "jamming-yay" mode as my best friend, Jirou likes to say. The thought of getting to see her again just makes me even more excited to get back to UA. I quickly said a goodbye to my mother and left for school.

I stopped at the gates of the school and stared at it. It was really amazing to be back. I can still remember all the things that happened last year. Mr Aizawa nearly expelling us on the first day (that was a lie though). The hero vs "villain" battle All Might set up. The final exam where me and Mina got beat by Principal Nezu. The training camp that was crashed by a gang of villains. Me, Sero and Mina pranking Bakugou on the last day at the dorms by sticking some of Sero's tape across Bakugou's doorframe and nearly getting killed for it. The band during the school festival. That was my favorite memory. If it weren't for Jirou teaching me the guitar, I would've embarrassed myself if I messed up the riffs.

As I continued to reminisce, someone tapped my shoulder. I jumped and screamed, a little startled. Okay...a LOT startled. I just got too carried away by my reminiscing.

"Kaminari...?" I turned around to see my best friend, Jirou who stood there a little shocked for a moment. And then she started laughing. I could feel my face heat up from embarrassment.

"Damn, Kami, you scream like a little girl! How much of a scaredy-cat have you become over the summer break?" Jirou choked as she clutched her stomach, still laughing.

"Hey!", I pouted, a little offended, then brushed her comment aside. "So how have you been?"

"Eh, not too bad. I'm currently working on a new song."

"Wow! That's cool! You gotta show me after school at the dorms," A sudden thought popped up in my head. "Hey, are we changing dorms? Since we are in our second year and all."

"Don't you remember what Aizawa said at the end of last year? We're still in the same building. All that's changing is that 1A sign above the dorm entrance. And hopefully those burn marks on the fourth floor from that prank you, Sero and Mina pulled on Bakugou are gone by now," She rolled her eyes at me.

I smiled sheepishly. Me and those three got in trouble with Mr Aizawa for demolishing the fourth floor. But still, it's mainly Mina's fault. She came up with the idea of pranking Bakugou.

We walked to our classroom and I realized we were among the few that arrived early.

"Wow, would you look at that! Kaminari's actually early for once," said Kirishima, grinning.

"I somehow beat my alarm clock to it," I grinned back.

A while later, everyone was in class and Mr Aizawa started to take the attendance. I look over to my left where Jirou was. I'm glad we didn't have to change the seating arrangements. I like sitting next to Jirou.Although she may seem quiet, cold, emotionless and teases me at times, she's a really great person. She supports me in difficult times and sometimes she helps me with homework and studying. We also hang out a lot, and I sometimes help her with her songwriting. She's actually a really fun person.

After Aizawa finished taking the attendance, he looked up from his clipboard. "Okay, we're gonna start with some hero training. Grab your hero costumes after I assign the partners for your training and no complaining about wanting to change partners once you're assigned."

The partners are:

-Midoriya and Iida

-Sero and Hagakure

-Mineta and Aoyama

-Jirou and Sato

-Kirishima and Uraraka

-Bakugou and Todoroki

-Tsuyu and Yaoyorozu

-Tokoyami and Koda

-Mina and Ojiro

-Kaminari and Shouji

I'm partnered with Shouji. This is going to be interesting. I suddenly hear a loud yell.

"OI, HALF-AND-HALF BASTARD! THIS IS A REMATCH!!" Bakugou was yelling at Todoroki. "DON'T YOU F***ING HOLD BACK THIS TIME, DAMN ICYHOT!"

I turned to look at Jirou and gave her a thumbs up and grinned. Sato is nice and all, but I still hope she will be alright. Ah never mind, I know she will be alright, she's strong.
