My father looked at the lady with a confused look. "What are you saying? Leine has the highest IQ in all of the Florente Empire?!" He yelled unbelivingly. The administrator bowed once more and said, "Youre Majesty..If you need proof please take a look!" She handed him the paper of my grade and test.

He looked it over for a bit. Suddenly he gave a shocked face. "Amazing!? But how!?" He yelled. The administrator yelled, "It is obviously because of our princess's amazing dark black hair and talent!" My father sighed and said, "Don't try and earn my favor with your compliments, though what you said is most true, since my daughter is the very definition of perfect.".

He stood up and looked at me. "Well, What will you do, Leine?" He asked with a tender smile. I gave him a grin. "I wanna be put a few grades up from my original grade." I replied. "Hm? I thought you would've wanted to stay with Augustine." He muttered to me. "Well, he's smart, so he'll catch up to me soon." I said. It was true, in the game within a year he was put into a grade above his original class, as he mentioned to Lidia in his route.

Father laughed a bit and said, "Madeleine. How about you go on a boat ride with August? I want both of you to be closer so you can stay friends with him, even after you leave his class!" I nodded and asked, "Can we take the tea boats?" He nodded and I left. The tea boats were basically luxary little boats with comfterable sitting areas and a little stand for tea. That way you could have tea while enjoying a beautiful boat ride.

"August!" I yelled as I jumped into his room. August had a surprised look on his face. "E-eh? What?"August asked. "Lets go on a boat ride on the tea boats!" I yelled exictedly taking my pigtails off and grabbinhg him by the hand. Why was I so excited to go on the tea boat? Well, it's because I've never seen such beautiful boats before.

I brought him to the boats and the maids had already prepared it for us, so all we needed to do was get on. I quickly got on and August followed me.

The boat started and the crystaline water swished as the boat came through the water. The sun was bright and reflected off the near end of the afternoon. I looked at August on the opposite side of the boat, casually looking at the clear blue reflective water. I smiled and said, "aren't these boats wonderfu?" I asked him suddenly. August replied, "Well, if you like them."

My favorite capture target was most certainly you, but I can't seem to like you that much in this life. I smiled. The wind flew through my black hair. "What type of girl would you fall in love with?" I asked him. He looked surprised. "Uh someone who smiles a lot and has light colored hair." He said. I smiled. That's the description of Lidia. Lidia has light-colored hair and she always has a bright smile on her face. They were really destined to be together.

"Do you have a thing for light haired girls?" I asked him. He looked at me with an annoyed face, "I just thought a girl with the opposite hair color as me would look better with me." He replied looking down at the swooshing water. "So, you care a lot about color schemes?" I asked him. He didn't look at me, as he slowly put his hand through the clean fresh water. "Yeah..." He said.

The wind flew elegantly through our hair, as the sun warmed up our faces. I leaned my face against my hand. It was a consistent cold wind that blew softly upon my face and lifted my hair. In the water were water lilies floating around beautifully.

"What time is it?" I asked him. "Shouldn't you know?" He replied. "I'm too lazy to calculate it right now." I said pulling back into my chair lazily. He took out a little watch and said, "7:32 P.M." I laughed a bit, and took some of my tea and sipped it. I put it back down and leaned against my hand.

"I wonder how lidia's doing." I suddenly blurted. August stared at me confused. "Lidia? Who's that?" He asked. "The person who you'll fall in love with." I said with a smile. "What?" He asked giving me a very obvious judgmental look. I laughed and said, "let's go back to shore." He nodded and the boat started to go back on its own.

The water glided away, and we got off.

In Terraine, the kingdom where August was born, pitch black hair was unordinary. Terraine was definitely a weak country, and most of the people there had light colored hair. They believed themselves to be better than darker haired people, even though darker haired people had more magic then them. It was because they wanted to seem better than them. Because they were jealous.

When one the princes was born with pitch black hair, a rarity that would never be seen in Terrain, they were both excited and a bit frustrated. They were excited since black hair meant a lot of power would belong to the country, but also frustrated because they never really like darker haired people. The people of Terraine thought of Prince August badly because of his black hair. He would often get bullied by his people, brothers, sisters, and classmates. He got neglected by his father the king, because the king didn't want to ruin his reputation. When they did get some time to talk, the king always treated August like a bug that should know it's place.

He would often say, "With that sort of power, you should know you're place and stay in it. Monster." They thought fear could control him. But after he lashed out on his sister, people just stopped caring whether he existed at all. Everyone thought he was a mentally deranged psychopathic monster with no feelings only the urges to kill and hurt. Incuding his father. He felt so much despair at that time, that he became numb as a coping method. When he heard things, he didn't know how to answer and would remain silent, when he saw things, he didn't see a beautiful world, he saw all the flaws in it, when he ate, he could not taste all the intricacies and deliciousness that he once adored. He was numb. And he felt horrible for being numb.

Everyday, people gave him looks like he was a monster, and he was starting to believe it. Then, his father finally did it. His father gave him up to the Florente Empire to make sure Terraine didn't get attacked. No one seemed sad at his departure. "...."

Surprisingly the king treated him like a kid, not a monster. This made him surprised. For the rest of his life, he thought he would be numb. He thought he would avoid contact with others for the rest of his life. And then the king introduced him to his daughter. Princess Madeleine Maria de Florente. When he saw her, she had the same hair color as him.

A beautiful pitch black. And her eyes were blue-green and shining. His first thought was, "She's pretty.". She stared at him with such eyes of regret. Why?

Suddenly a tear fell down her face. August was shocked. He thought she was so afraid of him, she started crying. Then she said with a loving, saddened face, "Your hair is so very wonderful." It rang in his ears. Over and over and over. He couldn't believe anyone would say such a thing to him. For his whole life, he was called a monster. And yet this girl can call him wonderful so easily. It was like a miracle.

He blushed at this sentiment. For the first time he blushed. He felt something. Something not numb. This girl had somehow, with one sentence removed all the years of sadness and despair he had clumped up inside of him. she washed it all away like the ocean. With only one sentence. How? "...." This girl was his and forever the only one who he would love. He would swear on it. This girl made his existence truly come back.
