《[1] The Allure of Darkness》14

Elena, Bonnie, and Blaise sat on the bed together. That morning they had all gotten ready in the same room, and sharing the bathroom. This might be the last time they get to spend so close to each other, and every once in a while Blaise would try to make a joke. It wasn't working, her tone flat, and emotionless.
They didn't want to go to school, but Damon quite literally shoved all three of them out the door, and stuffed them into his Camaro.
"Have a good day ladies, be good girls." Damon smiled, and the three of them rolled their eyes in synchronization.
"Welp, let's get this shit over with." Bonnie mumbled
"Yea." Elena, and Blaise said at the same time.
First half of school went by smoothly, then by the time their last class—History— rolled around things started to get a bit weird. Elena and Bonnie came in before the bell, on time as usual.
Blaise walked in a good five minutes after the bell, a blank expression on her face. The whole class turned to watch her walk in, she didn't even notice the man at the front of the class. He too silently watched her walk right past him, and as she went to sit at the back of the class some students whispered. Blaise hasn't been showing up to school much, she pretty much had become a ghost.
"Uh, the bell rang already. Unfortunately that's detention Ms...what's your last name." Asked with a heavy British accent, and immediately her head snapped up, Blaise looked to Elena. She shrugged her shoulders, just as confused, and then she turned to Bonnie. Bonnie mocked Elena's reaction.
"Laurent, Blaise Laurent..." Blaise spoke, her eyes never breaking contact with him.
"Ah yes, your previous teacher says...you do your work, have straight A's, and oh my." He paused, shocked by what he was reading.
"Yes I'm quite unpleasant apparently, can we not make this a whole thing?" Blaise said already bored, she figured this was one of Klaus' poor attempts to protect himself by placing his body into somebody else's, or he has one too many siblings.
"Well, this is my first day, so I was just doing a bit of an icebreaker. Like I already stated, I'm Mr.Mikaelson, and I already own a few schools back home. So don't you fret, I know how to handle bratty students." Mr. Mikaelson looked directly at Blaise, a challenging glare in his eyes. Cardi warned him about this, teenagers are a whole different monster from young children. He continued to talk for a few more moments, then decided to answer some of the students' questions at the end. Blaise swings her hand up high in the air, mock excitement on her face.
"Oh teacher!" Blaise called from the back of the class, some students giggled at her foolish behavior.
"Yes Ms. Laurent?" He asked, fighting the urge to roll his eyes.
"I was just like wondering, what's like...name?" Blaise asked, he chucked at the question.
"Well, my birth name is Roland H. Mikaelson. Not too keen on the H part, but that's neither here nor there." Roland spoke lightheartedly, he tried to ease the tension with a smile. This girl was staring daggers at him like he's killed her best mates. Not knowing how devious a witch Blaise had become, and if this "Roland." Was indeed Klaus, well she had something for him.
Thankfully the bell rang to dismiss the class, the students all but ran out of the class. Blaise started to pack up her things to leave.

"Aht, you have detention Blaise." Roland smirked. Elena, and Bonnie paused in the doorway looking at their friend.
"She doesn't need you to hold her hand through detention girls, you're dismissed." Roland spoke nonchalantly, but then he looked up to see none of them had moved from their place. Some silent conversation is happening between the three of them. Clearly they've been friends for a long time. The young women seemed somewhat like sisters; he noticed throughout class they kept checking on each other. It reminded Roland of him, and his siblings.
"I said, dismissed." Roland commanded, Blaise finally sat back down in her seat grunting.
"It's fine, I'm fine. I'll come find you all later okay?" Blaise mumbles slumping back into his seat. Bonnie, and Elena closed the door behind them, and prayed their best friend didn't kill their new teacher.

"Ya know I'm really starting to wonder what's been going on with Caroline." Elena questioned out loud, the two of them stood at Bonnie's locker while she went through her stuff.
"Yea about that, Elena Caroline's – " Bonnie was cut off by Stefan seemingly popping up out of nowhere with his arm around Caroline. Stefan looked uncharacteristically chipper, and Caroline looked a bit drab, almost as if the two had switched personalities.
"Blonde now?" Stefan looked shocked, he hasn't talked to Elena in quite a while.
"Blonde isn't your color Elena...should have tried green or something." Caroline says snarkily. Elena frowned, Caroline has always been bossy, but this seems to be more so bitchy. Now she was just being a bully, and Elena had no idea why.
"Leave her alone Caroline." Bonnie stepped forward, she didn't want to have to hurt her friend, but she would if she had to.
"Aw little Bennett found her voice today? You got some more Pep talks from Blaise?" Caroline mocks.
Bonnie's eyebrows fell, and her lips pressed together. She could see her older cousin's face in the back of her mind telling her to speak up.
"You know what, I don't know why you're being such a bitch, but you better get out of my face. I am not in the mood today." Bonnie threatens Caroline, her teeth clenched, and her fist balled.
"Or what? You've always been the weaker cousin." Caroline hissed, she stepped closer in Bonnie's personal space. Elena caught Stefan grabbing onto Caroline's wrist as if to warn her. Bonnie, and Elena could probably take Caroline in a fight. But Elena knew for sure neither of them could take Stefan, he seemed off. The last time he had that look in his eye he had gotten addicted to human blood again, and was binging for two weeks straight. He had killed so many young girls that Stefan lost count.
"Where's Blaise, isn't she the third Musketeer?" Stefan asked, he was already bored of this. High School girls aren't interesting for too long, and this petty drama they had going on is the least of their assignments.
"We don't know where she is." Elena said Stefan pushed Caroline, and Bonnie aside. He came to stand directly in front of his ex girlfriend, pressing his body into hers, and pushing her against the lockers. This definitely wasn't the same Stefan that let her cry on his shoulder a few nights ago.
"Elena Gilbert...she's never been a good liar." Stefan clicked his tongue.
"You reek of human blood, and not the donated kind." Elena sneered. Stefan's eyebrows lifted in surprise, maybe she had changed, and he hadn't noticed.

"Hmm, you like it? It's called some random college girl I killed from three states over, and come to think of it, she was a Blonde too." Stefan grins like a maniac, proud of that horrid detail.

Back in the classroom Blaise looked through her grimoire, half the pages tattered from its old age, and the older half still fresh. She looked up at "Roland", and watched as he swipes lazily through his phone, and at this point Blaise was tired of this game.
"Can we please get this over with?" Blaise stood from her seat, hands on her hips.
"Well it's only 10 more minutes to go, surely that won't kill you." Roland spoke, he was not interested in arguing with this attitudinal teenager.
"Oh you would know the things that could kill me." Blaise says taking a step forward.
"Um, I actually don't know what you're talking about Ms. Laurent." Roland spoke in a careful tone.
"Oh please cut the shit I know it's you Klaus! I knew it the moment you opened your stupid British mouth." Blaise grunted. At the mention of his younger brother's name Roland stood up. He suddenly felt so stupid for rushing to get here, and now seeing he's landed himself in the middle of another one of Klaus' piles of bullshit.
"Listen love, I'm sorry for whatever my brother has done to you, but I assure you I have nothing to do with it." Roland naturally falls into a prepared stance. His arms out in front of him, and though this girl seems harmless, Klaus does not discriminate in terms of making enemies.
"I don't believe you, but that's okay...I'll just have to see for myself." Blaise says. She relaxed her posture, and turned back to go to her seat. At her second step, she quickly spun around, and leapt up onto Roland. He underestimated Blaise's speed, her abilities crept up on him, wasting no time she tore into his flesh roughly. Roland groans at the force in which she bit him, he's been out of the game for a while. He can't recall the last time he's felt pain like this, and she was all over him like a wild animal. Finally he throws her off him, Blaise is able to land on her feet. Her black Nikes made screeching noises as she skidded across the floor from the force of his throw. Roland grabbed onto his wound waiting for his neck to heal, he hated making a mess, and especially in such fine clothes.
"My wife picked out this suit." Roland cursed, Cardíerre is going to be pissed when he comes home bloody.
"Hmm, she's got poor taste." Blaise teased, she chomped her teeth at him, his blood spilling from her mouth. Roland lunged forward, and Blasise ran backwards flying out of the classroom hitting the lockers. Roland was about to take a step out the classroom when Blaise flicked her hand, and the classroom door shut. Roland went to yank the door open, but it wouldn't budge. He accidentally snatched the door handle off the frame, Blaise waved her fingers at him, and skipped off the other direction.
"That should hold him for a while." Blaise sighed to herself, she whipped the blood off her chin with her sleeve. It didn't do much considering it was all down her chest, she grimaced to herself.
"You always were messy." Caroline chortled.
"I knew I seen your face on the back of a milk carton, too bad I threw it in the trash." Blaise replied.
"Let's not beat around the bush, you've hated me for a while, and you've been playing Sister Mary this whole time." Caroline claimed. Both girls stood their ground, neither one of them breaking eye contact.
"Hate is a strong word, since we're being honest...yea you were seriously starting to get on my nerves. And hey! It's not my fault you whine so damn much. You make everything about you, and for every complaint that came out of your big bossy mouth I wanted to stab myself." Blaise confessed, she breathed out, and suddenly a weight had been lifted. There was one point where her, and Caroline were just as close as the other girls. But everything changed when Blaise had to move away, when Blaise came back it was worse. In Blaise's defense she really tried with Caroline, but once Damon got in the picture, Caroline's attitude became worse.
"Because you Elena, and Bonnie have literally pushed me out! I didn't need you coming back into our friendship, and ruining things! You changed everyone, and everything! Everything I worked so hard for you got!" Caroline shouted.
"Is that what this is about! Because you think I stole your spotlight? You are so tired girl, the same typical song, and dance with you." Blaise rolled her eyes, she didn't have time to waste on Caroline's grievances.
"Look at you being the bigger person, I bet Damon would be so proud." Stefan appeared from a shadow of the hallway, Blaise rolled her eyes.
"Ya know, I knew you were evil." Blaise said flatly.
"Really? You thought that the whole time?" Stefan asked, coming to stand behind her. All Blaise could think about was how fucked up her day has been so far.
"Not at first no, no at first you were less of a dick. But you were also wearing some face, pretending to be what you thought was normal. I knew it would only be a matter of time before you slipped, and showed who you really are." Blaise said. Stefan rolled his eyes, it's not like she wasn't telling the truth, Blaise is watchful like that. It made it hard for Stefan to move around, everywhere he looked her eyes were on him. He couldn't act with her around.
"Yeah well...ya caught me! Surprise! Hmm, Listen, let's get this over with." Stefan said, breathing out through his nose. From out his boot he pulled a long wooden stake, he made a slight move forward like he was going to attack her, and Blaise fell for it. Caroline swiftly stepped forward to grab onto Blaise's head, and Blaise instantly twisted out of her reach. Blaise swiveled her leg around giving Caroline a misdirection of where she was going to kick her, in the midst of trying to dodge that hit she ran right into Blaise foot anyway. Kicking Caroline right in her chest, it sent her back a few feet down the hallway.
"Damn it Caroline." Stefan growled, this was taking longer than necessary. She tried to make a run for it, but the only other pathway was the boys locker room. Blasie turned, and pushed the locker room doors open. It really wasn't anywhere to hide, and sneak attacked Stefan. Running out of options she goes to stand in one of the showers leaving the door cracked open, the only indication that anyone had entered the room was the sound of the locker room door being opened. Blasie cursed in her head for being stupid, if she wasnt fast enough Stefan could trap her in here. She could just barely hear his footsteps, he was so good at stealth because Stefan used to hunt animals. Every once in a while Blaise could hear a locker opening, and slammed shut, for a moment Blaise thinks she can make a break for it. But it would be suicde, even when Stafan wasn't drinking human blood he's fast.
"You know, even with you being half Vampire, I can still hear your heart beating just as well as when you were still human. Let's stop this game Blaise, as much as the predator in me is loving this, I am bored." Stefan sighed annoyed, he didn't know how much longer he could be patient.
He came to stop directly in front of the shower Blasie was in, she stopped breathing, the next few seconds passed by like a heartbeat. Acting on pure adrenaline, Blaise used all her weight to slam the glass shower door into Stefan. The stained glass shattered on impact, Stefan groaned in pain, Blaise had barely made it to the door before she was being snatched back by her wrist. She yelped in pain as she could feel something in her shoulder snap, she clawed her way to the door, but Stefan had a hold of her now.
He turned her over, and dropped all his weight on her, Stefan knew once he trapped her on the ground Blaise couldn't get away.
"Shit you got fat." Blaise grunted as Stefan's weight crushed her into the cold tile.
"That's what a healthy diet can do to you, speaking of which...I always wondered what your blood tastes like." Stefan breathed heavily, his eyes looked far away, and he was practically drooling onto Blaise's neck.
"Stefan no, kill me, but don't do this." Blaise begged. She never wanted another man to sink their teeth into her, no one other than Damon. Blood sharing is intimate, and something that should only be done with a partner.
"But I have to, since the moment I met you, your blood has been seducing me. If I were the Stefan I am now back then, I would have snatched you up in one of those bathrooms at the grill, and I would have sucked the life out of you...every single drop." Stefan whispers, Blaise could feel her chest expanding against his as she could feel a panic attack coming on. Almost as if he was scaring her on purpose.
"Damon..." Blaise whimpered. She called out , hoping, and praying he heard her some way. Blaise wished she could just close her eyes, and when she opened them this whole thing was just another nightmare.
Caroline had entered the locker room to see Stefan pinning Blaise to the floor, she rolled her eyes. This is what she was talking about, Blaise got all the attention from all the boys. "Stefan." Caroline said impatiently.
"Shut up!" Stefan barked at her, no one was going to ruin his moment. Stefan slowly licked the spot on her neck where he was going to draw her blood from. Blaise shivered in disgust, even though his grip on her is tight she struggled against him regardless.
Listening to her heartbeat quickening, his eyes watched as her jugular pulsed against her soft coffee colored skin. 178, 179, 180, 181... Stefan counted feverishly to himself as Blaise's heart rate continued to climb, and right when it sounded like her veins were about to explode Stefan ripped into Blaise's neck. Her blood shot into his mouth hot, and sweet. It burned a little since she sometimes drank holy water, but that wasn't a regular enough practice to ward Stefan off. The sound of her whimpers, pleads, and cries lulling him into a euphoric state. His green eyes rolling into his skull, finally after all this time of waiting. He moaned deeply running his hands along her beautiful body, his hands reaching under her shirt grabbing at her breast. This was his true reward, of laying the groundwork, being patient, watching, and waiting. Finally he got the perfect opportunity to strike like the snake he is.
Caroline hadn't noticed when Roland burst through the locker room doors, he knocked her off her feet, and sent her flying into some near by stalls Roland snatched Stefan off Blaise. Stefan snarled, and growled as he struggled against Roland's hold.
Caroline quickly got to her feet, she picked up Blaise unconscious body off the floor, and ran.
"Did Klaus send you?" Roland asked, jumping straight to the point. Stefan didn't even look at him, his eyes glossed over; still lost in the dazed state Blaise's blood left him in. Roland held onto Stefan with one hand, and smacked him upside his head with the other.
"Focus! Don't make me compel you." Roland threatened.
"Oh great, another original, well even if I wanted to, I can't tell you anything because I don't know you." Stefan mumbles. Roland sighed, this must have been the work of his youngest brother Kol. He's always done a lousy job at compelling other vampires, Roland eased his grip when he realized Stefan wasn't a threat to him.
"Hey, hey, look at me. Pay attention." Roland slightly slapped Stefan's cheek, slowly he was coming out of his cloudiness.
"Where am I?" Stefan asked, he doesn't even remember getting dressed this morning, and here he is at school? Flashes of today's events flicker in his mind, the one that jumped out of him the most was that he attacked Blaise.
"Oh god, not again...how did this happen?" Stefan mumbled confused.
"You've been compelled so many times in a short period, it's fucking with your memories." Roland spoke softly, he felt bad for the young man, but he couldn't think of that right now.
"I'm sorry I have to do this to you mate, but I'll need you later." Roland twisted Stefan's knec past his shoulders, breaking his spine, and letting his body fall to the floor.
