Sandra: good morning to you too😒
Sandra: for the last 8384773 times...NO
😔
(2)Kevin: i think its opposite day
Sandra: if it is then you're the most amazing person in the world
💗
Amelia sat beside me at my locker and I watched her glare at a girl that stepped over her outstretched legs. She muttered something in Spanish under her breath and I laughed, flipping through the notes in my binder.
"You're not going to eat?" She asked me.
"Had a huge breakfast." I was still feeling the effects from eating eggs, fruit, bacon, french toast and making a mistake of taking the Belgium waffle and stuffing it in my mouth on the way to school. I had no regrets.
"Perks of your dad being a chef huh?" He owned a restaurant further into town and when he was less busy when Amelia and I were younger, she would come over a lot mostly for the free food.
"You can say that." I mumbled, not really paying attention.
"Hey Ames." A voice said. Amelia and I both looked up at Emil, her ex-boyfriend.
"Hey." She said, in the midst of eating her sandwich and scrolling through her phone. I saw them talking the other day but didn't ask about it. It was weird because they haven't spoken for weeks but all of a sudden they were on normal term again.
"Hey Sandy," he acknowledged me and I gave him a nod back, acting like I wasn't paying attention to whatever was going on with them. "Can we talk?"
I thought Amelia would honestly decline especially when she seemed so uninterested but she surprised me by getting up. "Once second." She told me.
I've been told 'one second' by Amelia before when her and Emil were dating and she usually ended up coming back disheveled. The I-just-had-a-really-good-time kind of disheveled.
I turned a page in my binder, sighing because I didn't feel like I was processing the information properly. Just when I felt like I needed it, my phone buzzed in my pocket and my lack of motivation made me pull it out.

Sandra: nope
I didn't receive a text for a couple of minutes before I heard my phone buzz again.
Sandra: what?
Sandra: not really
Someone sat down beside me where Amelia previously was. But this person firmly made sure I could feel his arm against mine. I didn't bother looking up from my phone to see who it was. Kevin held a small carton of fries towards me and without looking from my phone, I took one.
Sandra: thanks
Sandra: Biology
😏
I made a face at my phone screen and I heard him chuckle. It was then I realized that we were right beside each other but we didn't even say a single word.
Sandra: that was so bad. Never.
😪
Sandra: poor me😊
It was then I realize that I've been stuffing fries in my mouth the entire time. I glanced at Kevin who was already staring at me in amusement. I gave him a sheepish smile, handing him the carton. Guess I was hungry.
Sandra: sorry
I looked at Kevin to see if he was actually serious and the way he was staring right back at me was as if I should already know that he was. I bit back a smile.
Sandra: thanks I guess
Sandra: don't push it
(2)Sandra: you ask me this everyday I swear
Sandra: have you ever even asked me in person?
🤔
Sandra: didn't think so
Kevin put down the carton of fries. He leaned his head on the locker next to mine, turning his head to look at me. "Would you go to prom with me?"
"No."
Kevin groaned. "If you were going to say no, why did you make me ask?"
"Why do you keep asking me if you know I'm going to say no?" I retorted.
"Haven't you ever heard of a human having aspiration?"
"Your aspiration is not going to succeed."
"If my goal isn't being achieved then why am I still here?" He questioned.

"Because I'm too lazy to tell you to go away."
"Maybe it's because you actually like my company."
"I don't." I lied.
"Don't lie to me S." he smiled. "You'll come around. We talk everyday."
"Because you message me everyday."
"And you message me back," He pointed out. "Why are we stating the obvious?"
"Kevin, if you're here to bother me you might as well leave. I need to study."
"I'll help you out," He grabbed my binder flipping through my notes. "I did bio last semester."
"What did you get?"
"97." He surprised me by saying.
"What?"
"Yes, I have a brain up here babe. Don't be so shocked."
"I-I'm not." I tried to cover up by saying but he clearly didn't believe me either.
Kevin tapped his temple with his index finger. "This mind is only good at school when it comes to sciences. Everything else especially English can go fuck itself."
"This explains all of your typos." I muttered.
"Okay, that's not my fault."
"Is your autocorrect on in your phone," before he could answer the question we both knew the answer too, I cut him off. "No. it isn't."
Kevin hit the back of his head against the locker, closing his eyes. "You're going to be wearing the pants in our relationship once we start dating aren't you?"
"Probably."
"So you agree that-"
"I'm not going to go out with you. I'm not going to date you. I'm not going to prom with you."
"But you'll reply me back everyday and answer my calls even when you're doing homework or even it's the middle of the night to talk to me because I can't sleep?"
"Yeah," I mumbled, playing with the sleeve of my sweater.
I looked over at him. His brown eyes flickered around my face as if he was searching for something.
"Why?"
"Because believe it or not you're my friend Kevin." Just then, his eyes gazed into my own like he had found the answer to what he was looking for.
He gave me one of those smiles of his. The type that lit up his face and didn't need to show his teeth. It wasn't even a grin but he was beaming.
And as quick as that smile came, it faded away when I heard him mumble. "We haven't been friends in a while huh? Kind of makes me think."
"About what?"
"About the what if's. If we still talked. If we didn't get so distant when I came back that summer before grade ten. I thought of you, you know?"
"You what?"
"Kevin!" Someone yelled down the hallway, jogging over to us. I recognized him as Hayden. He played on the basketball team with Kevin too.
Kevin exhaled and I could sense the slight irritation of being interrupted but he got up, pulling a smile on his face. "What's up?"
Hayden's eyes glanced at me before looking back to Kevin, spinning the basketball in his hands. "We're skipping third to play ball. Wanna come?"
Kevin shot Hayden a look. "You're skipping third again?"
Hayden shrugged. "It's just Math."
"It's your future." Kevin mocked, taking the ball in his own hands. He looked down at me with a smile. "I'll text you later S."
"Bye." I told him as they went down the hallway and Amelia came back, looking conflicted.
"Everything okay?" I asked her.
"Yeah," She said and I could almost see the millions of thoughts going through my best friend's head but she averted her eyes from me, pulling her phone out. "I saw the funniest video last night I forgot to show you."

Novos Hitchhiker
Meet the mysterious being that has given itself the name Novos. Once an unfortunate reincarnating spirit on Earth, it has now wandered onto a new world full of magic and monsters. Unlike its previous incarnations on Earth, this time it has awakened, with a jumbled collection of its previous memories of Earth, inside the body of Celestine, a girl with no special powers or distinguishing traits whatsoever. Novos is a hitchhiker, sharing the body with the young girl. Along for the ride, but able to take the wheel when needed. This is the story of Celestine's life as witnessed and influenced by the presence of the foreign spirit. Note: This is a rewrite of a previously submitted fiction I posted here. I rewrote it for NaNoWriMo from memory. Feel free to read what I previously wrote, but significant elements have changed. I am leaving that iteration of the story up un-edited for future reference and for anyone curious.

Journey West 5000
With her parents murdered and her brother abducted, a trainee Monk of the Gun pursues the one responsible, the Bull Demon King, undefeated Warlord of the Crimson Army.Struggling to track down her enemy while braving the dangers of the wilds, she enlists the help of Sun Wukong, but 500 years under a mountain have taken its toll. Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

M.M.O (Massive Multiverse Online)
An earth shatering revelation befalls human kind. The multiverse is real. And they would like you to join their newest, state of the art multy reality videogame. Are you willing to play the game to end all games? (Only the most recent chapter comments will be valid) This is a choose your own adventure kind of story, but I'll be writing out the choices step by step. I am not one of the most faithfull writers, so it may take some time between chapters. And the length of each chapter will vary depending on the choices and outcomes. Honestly, the space between each chapter may vary until I get a handel of things. At minimum, I'll always wait a day to let the votes tricle in. Note: While I will have poles, I hope people can voice what options I dont put out for some reason that seam apropriate. Or just generally talk in the comment section

Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return
On the distant world of Mendala, a rash of mysterious attacks have left many towns destroyed, and there are rumors of an army of monsters. Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
