《Percy Jackson x Reader-Sea of Monsters》Chapter 12

I slowly stood up from the lifeboat and looked around.
"Where are we?" Annabeth asked.
I said as we all got out of the lifeboat.
"So everything that disappears in the Bermuda Triangle, it would all end up here." Percy said.
Tyson crouches down and grabbed a gooey substance.
"What is this stuff?" He asked.
"Watch your step." Percy said as he grabbed my hand.
Tyson started walking but then fell down.
"This has to be the worst way to die, ever." Annabeth said.
"Oh, come on!" A familiar voice shouted.
Percy shook his head.
"No way, it couldn't be her."
"You ridiculously stupid morons." The voice shouted.
"It's her."
We followed her yelling to a huge iron ship. A spotlight turned on from the ship. A bunch of figures were on board but only one of them was a girl.
"You idiot," Clarisse yelled. "You better keep my electric grid up and running or I'll plug your head into it!"
"Clarisse! Hey!" Percy yelled and waved his arms, trying to get her attention.
Clarisse peered over the railings.
"Jackson? What the Hades are ya'll doing here?" She asked as we all climbed on her ship.
"We got swallowed up, just like you." Percy explained.
"Nice ship." Annabeth said.
"Yeah, my dad's got tons of this stuff left over from wars throughout history. It was either this or a Huey from Vietnam. I figured a boat would be more practical."
The boat lurched backward. An iron chain held the ship in place.
"What's going on?" Tyson asked.
"Pretty much exactly what you think goes on inside of a stomach." Clarisse said.
We watched the lifeboat and other debris float downstream towards the end of the stomach where a spiky entrance to the rest of the digestive system was at. Once the entrance closed, it smashed the debris into pieces.
"You're right," Percy said. "That really is the worst way to die."
"Reardon!" Clarisse yelled. "What in Hades is going on with my engine? Is it ready yet?"
A pale man hobbled towards us.
"Almost, ma'am. They're working on it."
"Your crew is zombies?" Annabeth asked.
The undead crew stopped working and stared at us.
"Well, they prefer dead Confederate sailors whose lives have been given in tribute to Ares." Clarisse said.
"Zombies is fine." Reardon said while Clarisse rolled her eyes.
Suddenly the ship started moving again, rocking us and the other passengers to the side of the ship. Percy wrapped his arms around
me, making sure I wasn't going to fall. I looked at where the chain was supposed to be but the chain was broken, making the ship go towards the spiky digestive system. Once the ship stopped rocking us, Percy looked at me, while his hands were on my shoulder. Concern filled his sea green eyes.
"Are you ok? You're not hurt are you?" He asked as he looked at me as if checking for any injuries.

I smiled over his protectiveness over me. It was too cute!
He was about to say something else when he was cut off by Clarisse's loud yelling.
"Reardon! Gun! Faster! Now!" Clarisse yelled.
"Gun is hot, Cap'n. Locked and loaded." Reardon said.
"Then what are you waiting for?! Aim it at that meat grinder." Clarisse ordered.
The gun turned towards the 'meat grinder'. Clarisse started walking away but I followed her.
"Wait you want to shoot that thing with that?" I asked.
"Well, do you have a better idea? Because now would be the time." Clarisse said.
I looked at the stomach wall that started to move and then I had an idea. It's risky but it's still an idea.
"Hey, Clarisse."
She turned around to look at me.
"What?" She said very annoyed.
"Can you steer the ship?" I asked.
"Oh no. I just finished driver's ed." She said sarcastically. "Yes, of course, I can steer a ship."
"Well," I pointed to the gun. "Why don't we give her a stomach ache? We'll escape through the gut."
Clarisse narrowed her eyes at me.
"It just might work if it doesn't kill us first." Clarisse growled.
"You steer, I'll shoot." I said as I ran towards the ladder that led up to the ship's gun.
"All hands below deck!" I heard Clarisse yell.
Before I climbed up the ladder, Annabeth, Tyson, and (Y/N) came up to me.
(Y/N) said.
I smiled and saluted at them.
They saluted back at me. Annabeth and Tyson went below deck but (Y/N) stayed behind. I got down from the ladder and went up to her.
"(Y/N) go wi-"
I was cut off by her kissing me. It took me by surprise but I still kissed back.
She was the first to pull back.
I smiled at her.
"I will. Now go below deck." I said.
(Y/N) nodded and playfully saluted at me.
(Y/N) said as she went below deck along with the other undead crew.
Even though Percy was a little flustered from the kiss that him and his girlfriend shared, he still climbed up the ladder and got the gun ready.
The ship was getting closer to the 'meat grinder'. Clarisse ran into the control room. She pressed a few buttons.
"This is still my quest." She muttered. "Do not screw this up for me, Jackson."
Outside the ship, Percy aimed the gun towards the stomach wall.
"You should watch what you eat." Percy said as he fired repeatedly at the wall.
The wall ripped open, ocean water gushes into the stomach. The massive digestive system opened, ready to swallow the ship.
"Go!" Percy yelled at Clarisse.
"No kidding, genius." Clarisse mumbled as she turned the steering wheel.
The ship turned towards the gushing hole just before they got swallowed up.
Percy jumps down and entered the control room with Clarisse, closing the door shut behind him.
"I really hope this works." Percy said as he stares straight at the gushing water.

"Just don't forget." Clarisse said as she try to steer the ship.
"Forget what?" Percy asked.
The window started to crack against the water pressure.
"This is all your idea." Clarisse finished.
Percy gave her a look.
Outside the stomach, the ship burst out from Charybdis's stomach. The ship slowly floats up towards the surface. Inside the control room, the cracks on the front window deepened. The side windows started leaking water.
"Come on, come on." Percy mumbled.
They stared at the window as the ship reaches the surface and gently settles on top of the water. Percy and Clarisse throw their arms up victoriously.
"We did it!" I said.
"I did it!" Clarisse said at the same time.
I looked at her before opening the door. Clarisse started giving more orders to Reardon. I saw (Y/N), Annabeth, and Tyson coming towards me.
"Hey, are you guys all right?" I asked them.
They nodded.
"How did you know that your plan would work?" Annabeth asked.
I shrugged my shoulders.
"You just gotta have faith." I said with a goofy grin.
"And a cannon. We'll find Grover." Tyson said.
I noticed that the satyr, Ichneutae that went along with Clarisse for this quest was missing. Apparently Annabeth noticed too since she asked where is he.
"Oh, now you miss Ichneutae?" Clarisse said as she walked up to us. "Well we ran into Scylla, that multi-headed Hydra thing, and he said, 'I got this'. Famous last words."
Reardon came up to us.
"We've restored full power, Cap'n but our navagation system got destroyed."
"Great, what else could go wrong?" She muttered.
I looked at the ocean when something weird caught my attention. Blue intersecting lines magically trailed out above the water.
I looked at Percy who was staring at the ocean as if there was something there but the only thing I could see was water. He walked closer to the railings.
"Now where do we go?" Reardon asked.
"We should go northwest." Clarisse said.
"Are you sure about that?" Percy asked while still staring at the ocean.
"Yes, I'm sure about that." Clarisse said. "Why, do you have a problem?"
"Yeah, you got a problem?" Reardon said.
"Well it looks like your Confederate warship is heading to West Palm Bech, Florida." Percy said.
I walked towards him.
I asked him.
"Look I know this sounds insane but it's kind of like my dyslexia. But instead of being able to read Greek, I can see map lines." He explained.
"Well, what do you see now?" Annabeth asked.
"Um, 30,31,75,12."
Clarisse looked at Percy as if she was making sure he wasn't lying before she looked at Reardon.
"Change course. Southwest."
"Aye, aye." Reardon said.
He turned to Tyson, who was right beside him, and looked at him in the eye.
"Sorry." Reardon said as he went to change the course of the ship.
Clarisse leaves to go do something, probably to boss the crew around. She made Tyson go with her, so he could do something with the ship's engine. Annabeth grabbed a few drachmas from her pocket. I looked at her confused, so did Percy.
I asked.
"I need to I.M. someone important."
Percy and I said at the same time.
"Don't worry about it. I know what I'm doing. Besides you should call your brother." Annabeth said as she walked off.
My eyes widened. I didn't tell Will I was going on this quest. He gave me a huge lecture the last time I sneaked off from Camp. Will gives the kind of lecture that you just want him to just shut up.
"I guess she has a point." Percy said.
"An overprotective brother." Percy guessed.
I laughed.
He laughed too. Percy knows how Will can act like a mom whenever anyone gets an injury even if it's a scratch.
I grabbed a drachma from my pockets while Percy used his powers to spray ocean water making a faint rainbow in the sunlight. Right when I was about to throw the drachma into the mist, steam came out of the ocean mist.
"You have one collective message. Please deposit one drachma to recieve message." A pleasant female voice said.
Percy and I looked at each other, wondering who in the world is calling me.
I looked at the golden drachma in my hand before I tossed it through the mist, making the coin vanish.
The mist shimmered. I saw the familiar lake of Camp Half-Blood. The caller of the message was no other than my brother, Will. And he looked so pissed! I bit my bottom lip.
I asked.
"What were you thinking (Y/N)?!" Will shouted. "The Sea of Monsters is dangerous. Too dangerous for you!"
Will calmed down a little.
"Ya'll are expelled from camp, you know that right?" Will said.
"Ok you have a point." Will said.
"How's Thalia's tree holding up?" Percy asked.
"We're giving some medicine that will slow down the poison but it won't last long."
"He made it worse. If a camper breaks any rule in any way he punishes them severly."
"Tantalus might be worse worse than Mr.D." Percy mumbled.
I was about to say something else when someone said, "Land ho!"
I looked back at Will.
He nodded.
"Just be careful, (Y/N)." He looked at Percy. "Protect her Percy."
"With my life." Percy responded, making me blush a little(or a lot).
Will looked satisfied because then he waved his hand through the mist, disconnecting the call. I turned to Percy.
I asked.
"Yep!" He said popping the 'p' at the end. "It was completely necessary."
Percy gave me a goofy grin and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, but it's a good thing I'm your Seaweed Brain."
We stopped walking. I looked at him.
I asked him, as I held up my pinky.
"Forever." He confirmed, as he wrapped his pinky with mine and then kissed my forehead.
We walked towards the front of the ship, hand in hand.

A Spirit Vein's Guide to Immortality
TL;DR Synopsis: Man dies from falling banana, gets interrogated but answers vaguely, suffers consequences Actual synopsis: Spirit veins. Many consider them to be the pillar on which the world of cultivation is built. These things served as the foundation for the first few realms that would allow humanity to achieve its everlasting dream of immortality. However, in the present age, these pockets of condensed energy only exist to be under the foundations of massive organizations, fostering a new generation of fighters while passively radiating the energy they contain. Nevertheless, spirit veins are still an important element in the world of cultivation, albeit much less so. With that in mind, have you ever considered what it would be like for someone to turn into a spirit vein? No? Well, Arthur never thought about it either. Going through the usual reincarnation schtick (if one could consider it usual), Arthur was eventually brought into a place where a god asked him where he would like to be reborn. Unsurprisingly, Arthur told the god his ideal rebirth. However, soon enough, he would come to realize that he should have been more specific with it. Now being reborn as the smallest spirit vein, or if you could even consider him a spirit vein, Arthur wondered what he could do other than wait for time to consume him…and that’s where the system came in. With it, he would experience multiple stories of hardships, adventure, romance, and action…all underground. Unless…? Do keep in mind that English is not my first language, so I would like to apologize in advance if there are any grammatical errors, typos, miscalculations and so on. In fact, I'd highly appreciate it if you tell me those mistakes. Also, this story focuses quite a lot on the gradual progression of the MC at the beginning, but in the long run, upgrading sprees would probably be more common. Thanks for reading this small note! If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. Cowboys and Wizards is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his crappy smartphone, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense.
