《Ciel x Reader- Dreams of Who We Used To Be》Mistakes

"_______! Calm down! It was only a nightmare!" Ciel's voice wakes you. He's speaking in a hushed voice so he doesnt wake up anyone else. "It's alright, I'll protect you."
'But who will protect you?' You thought as you opened your eyes. He hugged you tightly. And then you realized what he had been doing. 'Oh my God... Ciel Phantomhive lying on top of me. In his nightclothes.'
Ciel pulled away and layed back down next to you. You moved closer to him and he opened his arms so that you could snuggle.
"What was it about? Your nightmare, I mean." He said softly.
You buried your head into his chest. "My boss from the Aristrocats handed me a gun and told me I had to shoot either you or Tommy, or he would kill both of you infront of me and then shoot me." You shook.
"And?" He said softly.
"I couldn't choose. He shot Tommy.... and when he tried to shoot you, I... I..." You trailed off as you started crying, and he squeezed you tight, kissing your forehead.
"Ssh, its alright. We'll find Tommy, and I promise you I won't die anytime soon." He said softly. "Do you want to try and sleep? There's still about an hour until Sebastian comes to wake us up."
"No." You said softly.
"Okay, then what do you want to do?"
"You don't have to stay up with me." you said as he gently kissed your neck.
"I want to."
"Then please do so." You said, smiling as you kissed his lips.
"It's hard to believe it's been just over a week since I met you. I feel like I've known you forever." He said.
"I know."
"I love you ______. More than you could ever imagine."
"Show me. Make me imagine it." You said, and he smiled, kissing your lips as he pulled you close.
"Not right now, maybe in a few years." he whispered against your lips.
You blushed. "I.. I didn't mean like that!"
"But that's how it was perceived."
You stretched and yawned.
"_______, you should sleep. Your body is still tired from when you weren't eating and sleeping." Ciel said.
"Will you protect me from more nightmares?" You flirted.
"You know I will. Now sleep."

"It is time to wake up, Young Master and ___________." Sebastian's voice penetrates your dream.
Your eyes aren't open, but you're already worried about the day to come.
Today is Monday, June 4th.
Today is the date for the bonus.
Today is the day someone will die.
You open your eyes and sit up as Sebastian hands Ciel a cup of tea. He tries to hand one to you, but you shake your head. "No thank you. I don't want one."
"_____?" Ciel asked. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." You said as Sebastian held his hand to your forehead.
"She doesn't have a fever. Although you do look a little pale.. Should we have her stay in bed?"
"No!" You said a little louder than you intended. "No. That will not be necessary. I'm fine." You said at a more appropriate volume.
Ciel and Sebastian exchanged looks before Ciel cleared his throat. "_____ and I will dress ourselves today. Why don't you go check on breakfast?"
"Yes, My Lord." The door shut and Ciel instantly turned to you.
"Alright, what's wrong? Are you tired still?"
"There's nothing wrong with me right now." You replied.
"That's a lie and we both know it is. You're pale. You're jumpy. You rejected a cup of your favourite type of tea. You didn't sleep well last night, which was your first opportunity to sleep in days. You haven't been eating. What's going on? Are you still mad at me?"
"Ciel, I'm not mad at you, please don't think I am." You said as you hugged him.
"Then what's wrong? You were normal earlier, but then you were different when you came in and played the violin for us. Did something happen on that phonecall?"
"Ciel, I can't tell you what happened, but I promise I'm fine." You said.
"Alright, but I'm always here if you need someone to talk to, okay?"
"Okay." You say to make him happy.
When the two of you were dressed, he held your hand on the way down to breakfast, making you sit as close to him as he could. Your knees touched, and he held your hand under the table.
When the food came out, you played with it on your plate but didn't bring any of it to your lips.
"______?" Ciel asked, putting his hand on your knee. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. May I use your phone?"
His eyes narrow with concern. "Alright."

"Hello?" Marcie's bored voice drifted through the phone.
"It's ________."
"Ah. Are you calling to say you've slaughtered the child?"
"Not yet. I wanted to make sure that-"
"What are you doing? You have until midnight to have him dead or your precious little Tommy will have a bullet in his skull!"
"S., Please, don't. Give me an extra day, I'll have everything taken care of, Please, just don't hurt Tommy."
"You've had enough time." He snarled. "I have him with me right now." He yelled into the phone.
"______? He's scaring me. What's going on?" His little voice floated through the phone.
You grabbed the cord. "Tommy??"
"Sis..." He cried.
There was a click of a gun.
"S.! Don't hurt Tommy! I'll... I'll have it taken care of!"
There was a gun shot, and Tommy made a small scream.
"You better. I might just not miss next time." He said.
"I'll have everything taken care of... I promise. I'll come save you Tommy." You said through the phone. "I promise-"
"_________? Who exactly are you calling?"
You turned around and flinched when you saw Sebastian. "Oh, hello there." You said, hanging up the phone.
"______, who did you call?" He raised his eyebrows.
"No one too important." You said, trying to leave but he blocked you and leaned down to your height.
"Tell me _________. Who is this S.?"
You flinched. "How long were you listening?"
"Not long enough. Ciel is in his study down the hall, and was worried when we heard your crying. He sent me after you. If you won't explain to me, then maybe you'll explain to him." He said, shoving you slightly down the hall. You stumbled and he growled.
When you got to the study, Ciel instantly rose and came over to you. The tears in your eyes threatened to spill, and you took a step towards him. However, Sebastian blocked your path by sticking his hand out in front of you.
"Sebastian." Ciel growled.
"Young Master, I'd advise you to stay away from her until she's able to explain what she was doing."

Ciel's eye met yours, and you could see the confusion and hurt in his eyes.
"I made a phonecall, just like I said I would." You said softly, unable to look away from Ciel.
"But WHO were you calling?" Sebastian asked.
"I called... I called... the man that kidnapped Tommy." You said, beginning to cry. Ciel pushed Sebastian out of the way and hugged you close.
It wasn't a lie, and thanks to Ciel's please-do-whatever-I-want-face always working on you, he must've believed it. He took your hand and pulled you to his deskchair, sitting you on his lap the way he had last night.
"You were talking about one more day. One more day to what?" Sebastian asked.
"I had my savings from the circus, and my friend Asik was willing to help out.. we were... we were trying to come up with the ransom money." You lied as you cried into Ciel's chest.
"How did you get the number?" Sebastian asked.
"When I called Asik on the day I had played violin, she said that there had been a call for me. They had given her the call because she was the one closest to me, and the man on the other end... he gave her a phone number to call. When I had called her, she told me the number and explained.... explained what Tommy was going through."
"________, Why didn't you ask me for the money? I would've given it to you." Ciel said softly.
"I didn't want to cause trouble." you responded softly. "You've done so much for me, and I-"
"Sebastian! Take the other servants in the household and rescue her brother! This is an order!" He said, taking off his eyepatch. You gasped quietly at the mark in his eye. A pentegram. The mark of a demon. You had never seen it before, so it came as a shock.
Sebastian faltered. "My Lord, is it wise to leave you here alone with her when she could possibly-"
"Do you question my orders?" Ciel asked.
"No, my apologies my Lord. We shall leave immediately." He said, his eyes flashing pink before leaving.
"Ciel.. your eye..." You started.
"I'm sorry if it scares you." He said, reaching for his eye patch.
"No, it's beautiful." You said, kissing his closed eyelid. "In a way I could never describe."
"You're not... afraid?"
"No. I'm a little confused, but I'll never be scared of you." You said, snuggling in close.
"Do you want me to explain?" Ciel asked, turning the chair so the two of you could watch the servants leave.
"Not right now." You said. "Right now I want you to hold me close and tell me that everything will be okay."
"Everything will be okay." He started. "Your protector from nightmares and kidnappers is here. And I will NEVER let anything happen to you."
'What he doesn't realize is that his servants are going to die. Marcie and Viletta together are impossible to beat in combat... I would know. I suppose that I just need to kill him. But do I have the guts?'
"Let me make myself VERY clear. We are not to return to the manor without the child unless something happens."
"Yes sir." The three said in very serious unicen.
"Tanaka, please watch the horses and make sure they are ready to go when we head off. I have a feeling this will be a quick getaway." I said, pulling my gloves up.
The four of us headed inside, each of the servants clutching their weapons and I holding my forks and knives.
The steady thud of our feet hitting the floor was slightly unnerving in the silence. For the servants, I mean. It wasn't a really big deal.
We ran through the compound, finding nothing. It was simply just hallway after hallway.
And then we found IT. The most beautiful statue any human could've built with a set of elegant doors behind. The statue was pure gold, and was really more of a fountain. There was streams of water falling, and it was essentially a bunch of people, some dead and some living, depicting a gruesome gift scene. There was rubies and emeralds and amethyst accents on it.
Truely something to behold.
"Come on, we have to find the child. It's getting late." I said, looking at my pocket watch before heading through the doors.
More. Hallways.
The next time we reached a door, It was lovely to find a room.
And even nicer to see a small boy cowering in a corner with a man pointing a gun at him.
I threw a knife, but the man moved the gun so that it bounced off of it and hit the ground. "_______, your aim has gotten worse... You're not _____." He frowned at us.
"We're here to collect the boy." I stated.
"_________ is too scared to face me? Ha, how pathetic. Unless she is using this to get you away from the house... so that she can seal the contract."
"Contract? Whatever do you mean?" I asked. 'Is _________ a demon?'
"Your little friend has been playing you. She works for me. And she has until midnight tonight to kill your little brat of a master, Ciel Phantomhive. She probably planned this- My she is smart. She got me to go along with it too... she really had me thinking I would've killed the child."
"She's going to kill the Young Master?" I asked, eyebrows raised.
"Ruthlessly."
"Fall back! We need to make sure the Young Master is okay!" I told them. "I'll hold him off... You start heading to the horses." They nodded and ran.
"I'm not going to fight you... I don't murder people unless I get payed for it. Feel free to get going." He waved his hand.
"You are a strange man." I observed. 'I need to get home!'
"Runs in the business."
"Ciel?"
"Yes?" He asked. It was dark outside, and the two of you were in the same position you were in when the servants left, staring out the window.
"If you had to choose between a family member and someone you love, who would you choose?" You said softly.
"A family member. You may fall in love again, but you'll never get another mother, father, sister or brother."
"... I see."
"But you don't need to worry about that. I don't have any family anymore. And you're the only one I love. I will always choose you."
"..... And back to square one again." You sigh.
"What? Why?" He asked you curiously.
"I'm trying to-"
"Young Master!"
"Master Ciel! Get away from her!"
"She'll kill you!"
Sebastian grabbed you by the wrist and yanked you off him.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" You and Ciel protested.
"Saving your life." Baldroy said he, Mey-Rin and Finnian stood protectively infront of him.
"Young Master, this girl is an assassin. She is not the ______ _______ she pretends to be- She is the Black Rose, a violent and blood thirsty killer."
Both of your jaws drop.
"_______? Is that true?" Ciel asked softly.
You ignored him, feeling utterly shocked and defeated. "How did you... How did you find out?"

Carrying the knowledge of her past life, she seeks to do what her kind does best... rule. Yet, the multiverse isn't what it once was. Mortals aspire to become what the celestials once were, through levels or classes or cultivation. New things that didn't and shouldn't exist. And these mortals are only the beginning of what stands in her way. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Warning: There will be times that morally suspect themes happen. While I have little to no intention of showing them (especially during a Writathon) things like abuse of all kinds (neglect, emotional, mental, spiritual, physical and sexual) can or be implied to have happened. These are played to the horrors such things are, and are treated with the seriousness and aftereffects it would cause. Progression + Cultivation + GameLit + Multiverse + Slow Build + Slow Burn + Worldbuilding + Grimbright + Multiple POVs = Insanity for all. This the first time I am seriously writing an original story. I will be Writing each book in Parts/Arcs (3-6) with mini arcs (3-6 in each arc). Each Mini-arc is 5-14 or so chapters. I like progression stories and I've always wanted to try and write one like a few of the web novels that inspired me. The Game Lit aspects will be more in the background, with focus on other details like dungeons, monsters, loot, morality, and so on. There will be focus on various kinds of progression. Updates 3-5 days a week (Usually weekdays). Chapters will be roughly 1000-2500 words and alternate wildly.

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
