《Ciel x Reader- Dreams of Who We Used To Be》Open Doors Close

You were still mad at Ciel... although you were starting to feel bad about it. And then you remembered that he ordered Sebastian to drop cake on you, and you feel a little better.
'I should kill him now while I have no regrets..' You thought. 'But do I? I mean, he just wants me to forgive him, so maybe I should make things right before I send him to the other side?' You thought shaking your head. 'No, I'll do it now. Marcie is getting anxious.'
You pushed open the doors to Ciel's study without knocking. He looked up at you, shocked. You could see his eyes were red. 'Has Ciel been crying... over me?'
He got up and began walking towards you. He extended his arms to you. 'Great, now I feel bad.' You thought, hugging him tightly.
"______, I'm sorry about-" His voice cracked.
"It's... it's okay. I shouldn't have done it either." You said as you snuggled into his chest.
He held you closer. "_______, do you remember Elizabeth?"
"Yes, Why?"
"She's my fiancée. It... it was wrong for me to kiss you when we're betrothed."
'That's right... I forgot his file said he was engaged.'
"______..... If I were to break off our engagement, would you become my new fiancée?"
You gasped. "Ciel! You can't do that!"
"What if I wanted to? _______, I think I.... I think I love you."
"Ciel, I-I can't. You're betrothed."You changed your sentence half way through. 'Don't say it you idiot, then it'll be IMPOSSIBLE for you to kill him. What you're feeling is nothing.' You scolded yourself.
"Forget about that. If I asked you to marry me, would you?" He asked, giving you that look you just couldn't say no to.

"Yes... but Ciel, we can't! I have my duties at the circus, and you're already engaged to someone! I won't let you! Think about Elizabeth! She's so nice, imagine what would happen to her if-" You were broken off by Ciel kissing you.
When he pulled away, he was smiling at you. "You said the only thing you needed to. Yes. Everything else is irrelevant."
"Ciel, you can't! You'll hurt her! Imagine what that would do to her!"
"Imagine what marrying someone else would do to me." He said. "______, I can't live without you!"
"Why don't we talk about this another time? In a few days maybe?" You said, holding his head in your hands. 'Because by then either you'll be dead or Tommy will.'
"Alright." He said, kissing your lips. "In a few days." He intertwined his fingers with yours. "Will you sit with me while I do work?"
"Sure." You said, starting to head over to one of the couches on the edge of the room but he pulled you back to him.
"You said you would sit with me." He said.
You looked at him confused and pointed with your free hand at the couch.
"Come on." He said, pulling you to his desk chair and sitting down on it.
"Ciel?" You blushed.
"Sit down." He indicated to his lap and you slowly sat down. He swung your legs over one of the arms of the chair, and you wrapped your arms around his neck so that you were sitting sideways on the chair while he was sitting forwards.
You blushed a little. "What will Sebastian think?"
"Whatever he wants. He's not allowed to say anything." He said, turning his head to kiss you on the nose.

You buried your head into his chest and stifled a yawn. "I'm not even doing the paperwork and I'm bored."
"Don't think you're going to leave me that easily." Ciel laughed. "Do you want to sleep?"
"Maybe..." You yawned again.
"It's okay, I'll protect you _______. You can sleep." He said, gently rubbing his head against yours.
"Mmm Kay." You said softly, falling asleep in his arms.

You woke up in your and Ciel's room. He was sound asleep next to you.
'I went to kill him... and instead fell deeply and inexplicably in love with him.' You thought, lying down and wriggling over close to him. Although he was asleep, you felt his arms slowly wrap around you.
'Atleast now I admit it.'
'I am in love with Ciel Phantomhive.'
'I just want to lie here and not face tomorrow.'
'But I have to eventually.'
'Tomorrow either Tommy or Ciel will die... I don't want either to happen.'
'The deadline is tomorrow.'
'No matter how everything goes, I will lose one of the things I care about most.'
'Ciel or Tommy?'
'I don't think I can decide.'
'But I have to.'

God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Spear and The Cross
The World of Marrh has been embroiled in a decades-long struggle between the eventually divided Zurul Horde and the ever-decaying Juman Empire. A war whose causes for carnage have long been forgotten. A half-orc and a human will eventually meet paths, their fates intertwined to save their dying world from their peoples' conflict and from an outsider's interference... Will they succeed, or will they succumb to failure? Only the Divine will truly know. NOTE: I upload chapters (about +2,500 words) on an irregular basis, so don't expect much from me. I write for fun only, and this book is an amateurish attempt at showcasing my world on The Spear and The Cross. If you still want to stick around, then go ahead. Maybe it'll be a fun ride. And also, a big thanks to my artist friend, Milkuii, for the wonderful cover art.
