《Byakuya X Reader》🍃Monokuma's micschief🍃

After the bath the girls had, me and Celeste were able to talk to each other again. Even though she and Byakuya didn't get along the best, they still tolerated each other enough to be around me.
The next fews days passed normally. Alter Ego managed to help Kyoko turn on the other laptop and connect them so that he could analyse the files on there. He said he would have an answer for us within a week. Other than that, we followed a normal routine. We would all wake up in the morning and eat together before waking a movie in the A/V room and then going our separate ways until dinner. I would either go and hang out with Celeste in the game room or stay in the library with Byakuya.
'Y/N,' I felt a tap on my shoulder as I leant against a wall in a hallway, I was busy writing away in a notebook I had found in my room. I looked up to see Kyoko.
'Do you need something?'
'Come with me. I need to talk to you about something,' She turned and started to walk towards the stairs, gesturing for me to follow. I closed the notebook, tucking it into my sock since it was flexible, before I followed her. I noticed she was carrying a bag with her, which was unusual.
I followed her up to the second floor before we stopped outside the bathroom. 'I need you to go into the boy's bathroom and go through the secret passage with this bag. It will let him access more files. I would do it myself but-' She was cut off by Monokuma appearing.
'What are you two talking about?' He tilted his head.
'Girl problems, and I discovered earlier that the girl's bathroom doesn't work, it's all broken, so Y/N has to use the boys bathroom,' She lied.
'Broken?!' He exclaimed before opening the door and peering in. I looked around the corner to see it too, it was a mess, a total wreck, broken mirrors and water everywhere. Did Kyoko get Sakura to do that?. 'When I found out who did this, I'll... I'll...' He started to shout 'I guess you can use the boys bathroom then,' He sighed.
'Can I have the stuff, Kyoko?' I pointed to the bag.
'Of course, Y/N,' She handed me the bag and I entered the boys bathroom.

A secret passage, huh? I started looking around. I noticed a storage closet and started prodding around, to which the back wall swung open. I entered it to find a table in the room, to which I placed the bag down and pulled Alter Ego out.
'Alter Ego, What do I do now?' I typed.
'Hello Y/N, you need to plug me into the wall so I can access more files. That is what Kyoko told me,' He explained.
'Okay, I will try,' I typed before searching the room. Before long I found the outlet and pulled out the cord from the bag, plugging it in. 'There, you can analyse the files now,'
'Thank you. I will try to stay as discrete as possible,' He smiled before I made my way out.
As I stepped out the bathroom, I saw Kyoko still standing there. 'Come on, Y/N, let's go back now,' She gestured to the stairs and I followed her down. 'Did you do it?'
'Yes, but are you sure he'll be safe?' I pondered.
'I didn't notice any security cameras in there when I went in before. I would have gone in again, but I think Monokuma is suspicious of me, so I asked you,' She explained. 'But, we should be getting back to the others, it's almost time for dinner. I believe Celeste is meant to be cooking with me tonight,' She started to ramble and I noticed a slight blush on her cheeks.
'Do you.. like her?' I raised an eyebrow.
'What?' She looked surprised. 'I wasn't expecting that, but I won't say your assumption is wrong, but, as a friend, I'm asking you not to tell her,'
'Don't worry, I won't. It's not my place to say,' I smiled.
'Thank you, Y/N, try not to go to the boys bathroom too frequently. We still need to stay safe,' She smiled slightly as she walked off.
I walked through the halls until I reached Cafeteria. I smiled as I saw Byakuya already sitting there, his head in a book. 'Hello!' I smiled as I leant over him, standing on my tiptoes to do so. He looked up at me, smiling slightly.
'You're overly enthusiastic,' he pointed out.
'I just feel happy,' I slid into the chair next to him, resting my head against his arm.

'I'm guessing Celeste managed to convince you to play that gambling game of hers,'
'Yes, but with no gambling involved. If that makes sense,' I let out a small laugh. 'Also, don't go to the second floor boys bathroom unless Kyoko tells you to. We put him in there to analyse more files,' I lowered my voice.
'Alright, but why did you and her put him in the boys bathroom? You're both girls,' He frowned.
'Yes, but, there's a secret room, and Kyoko wanted me to do it for some reason. So, somehow she broke the second floor girl's bathroom and made an excuse for me,' I explained.
'And Monokuma bought that?' He raised an eyebrow.
'Surprisingly, yes,'
'Interesting, but we shouldn't talk about this for much longer,' he glanced around the room.
I spent the next 20 minutes there, reading the book Byakuya was, even though I hadn't read the first half. Afterwards, everyone else arrived and Kyoko and Celeste came out with the food. Although, it was a simplistic meal of sandwiches, I was still thankful for them making it. It was nice that we took turns cooking food every night. Everyone felt better about being around me, compared to when they first found out I was a hitman. Everyone was able to talk together and have fun... for a short while, until he appeared. Monokuma wanted to have another meeting in the gym. I felt my heart drop, it was going to happen again. Every time a class trial ended and another motive came forward, the more likely hood me or one of my friends would be the victim, or even worse, the blackened.
We all filed into the gym, looks of despair on our faces. I clutched Byakuya's hand as we entered. We all stood there, pits of fear in our stomachs before Monokuma appeared on the stage.
'Good evening, my wonderful students!' He laughed.
'Just skip to the point of all this,' Byakuya spat at him.
'Awh, you really don't want to talk to your principal that much..? I'm hurt...' he looked dismayed.
'Monokuma. We don't have time for your tricks,' Kyoko said bluntly, staring at him, the usual look of emptiness of her face.
'Since you demand it, I'll tell you your new motive!' He cheered up. 'This time its... drumroll please,' He looked over at us all. 'Drumroll please,' He repeated to which a few of us clapped our hands together. 'It's a surprise!' He announced. 'It will take action in the morning!'
'This doesn't sound good,' Sakura shook her head.
'Doesn't sounds good? It's terrible! How do we know what will happen?' Leon crossed his arms.
'Maybe we should go to sleep and discuss it in the morning when it's started. We'll have better luck then,' Celeste explained, while holding her hands under her chin.
'Yes, I agree. We'll be able to figure it out better once we see it,' Kyoko pointed out.
'Then, let us all go,' Celeste smiled slightly before walking out, all of us following her.
'I don't like this,' I clung onto Byakuya's arm.
'Just hang in there. I'm sure we'll make it out alive again. We just have to stick together until then. The next killer won't kill with any witnesses around,' He looked down at me smiling.
'Can we read again? I don't want to be alone,' I felt heat rise to my cheeks.
'You've changed a lot since I first met you, you know that. At first, you were loud and obnoxious, but after the killings started, you became quieter and more reserved,' He smiled 'Of course we can read,'
'You've changed too. You were a rich snob, but you're kind hearted and protective,' I looked up at him, smiling. 'I'm glad I was able to meet the real you,'
We arrived at the dorms and we went into Byakuya's room. For the past few days, we'd occasionally read until late until the night before going to bed. We had managed to gather loads of blankets so that we could make a another kind of bed for me while I stayed over.
'Which book would you like to read?' He held up a few books before sitting down next to me.
'I don't mind,' I rested my head on Byakuya's shoulder as he started to read. I felt my eyes slowly closing, even though I had a pit of dread in my stomach, my heart was beating fast. Was it possible to feel hope and despair at the same time?

An Unwilling Monster
In the city of Kholakel, the highlight of the year for the upper classes is the annual monster pacification of the misty woods. Ostensibly it's a culling of the monster population to prevent them encroaching on urban areas, but it's an open secret that it's actually treated as more of a blood sport, the participants competing to score the most kills. After all, why else would the politicians and elites of the city bother to attend personally? Given the intense competition and high-tech weapons and gear in use, one might wonder how the forest has not yet been completely depopulated. As this year's culling approaches, a group of unfortunate children are about to discover the answer first-hand, but thanks to an unexpected twist of fate, one of them will score the chance to play the role of the hunter instead of the prey. This was an attempt at writing something darker than my usual fare. The story I actually ended up with isn't as mean to the MC as I'd originally planned out, to the point that I'm not sure the story deserves the horror/grimdark tags anymore, but this is still an unfair world with unambiguously evil antagonists. Chapters are short to start with, but get longer once the first act is over.

That encounters, that thought process, lead Grey to experience a peculiar phenomenon, which is the gateway to the bizarre nation of Chronosseum. Join Grey make his glorious way in Chronosseum, and uncover its truth! Also, he needs to answer that question too! Note: The story heavily relies on the characters' thought processes, characters' interactions with its dramas, mystery, and back-stories aspects, so expect the slice of life thingy. As for now, I can't say this is an action-packed story, but slowly, it will be for sure. Also, I'm planning not too heavily focused on the MC, as you'll see the story told from various perspectives. Tags and content warnings are checked for the sake of my creativity in the future, it might or might not be included. This is my first novel, and also, English is not my native language, I beg your mercy. But I am open to any feedback and constructive criticism, so let's make the story more enjoyable to read! Chronosseum is scheduled to release one chapter every three days (for now).

Ruins of Dalághast
I've been writing for as long as I can remember, but I'd always been torn between different projects. That's why I decided to dedicate myself to a pretty strict schedule of writing and editing a single chapter every month since the start of 2019. This is an ongoing, work in progress novel that follows a ragtag group of sellswords as they delve into a lost city on the edge of the known world in search of their fortunes. Within, though, they find much more than they ever expected and find themselves in a race against time to unravel a mystery centuries old. For those who want to see my work months earlier than it will be released here, alongside exclusive artwork and other perks, consider supporting me and my work on Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/atlaswrites

You all know the story. The world changes, people get told by mysterious floating menus that earth is no longer the safe haven many first world countries assume it is. People gain magnificent powers. Mages are awesome. Humanity, Fuck Yeah, and all that. I've read the webnovels, seen the tropes. Nothing prepared me for reality. If this works as it should, then you'll be reading this sometime before everything changed. I hope this gives you a chance once it does. As someone on the other side of time, you cannot stop it, but you can fight it. If the world knows whats coming, and people indeed listen, this is game, set, and match.
