《Byakuya X Reader》🍃Light in the dark🍃

I woke up to the announcement playing. But, I wasn't in my bed, not even my room. I was covered in a blanket, my back to the wall. My head was resting on someone's shoulder. Byakuya's shoulder. We had fallen asleep while reading.
'Good morning,' I yawned.
'Morning,' He pulled the blanket off of us before standing up and offering me his hand to pull me up. I brushed the dust off of my skirt and stretched.
'I'm starving,' I rubbed my eyes.
'Then let's go eat,' He walked towards the door, gesturing for me to follow him. Luckily, no one had noticed we came out of the same dorm together.
We walked into the cafeteria/canteen and sat down at a table separate from everyone else as we started to eat our breakfast. I think Mondo and Taka has made it for us, which was kind. I honestly had noticed them becoming a lot closer, but just as me and byakuya, I believe they were more than friends, although, I could still be wrong.
'A new floor has opened up. We should go investigate it,' Byakuya sipped his tea.
'Good idea, I hope there is something fun to do,' I sighed as I prodded my food with my fork.
'What's wrong?' He looked up at me.
'I just want to get out of this school and go back to living a regular life,' I explained.
'A regular life of killing? I don't really know what you did before you came to this school,'
'I killed people when I was paid. I went to a normal middle school, had some friends. Junko and Mukuro, per say. We were all rather close although I didn't know Mukuro as much as Junko,' I shrugged 'I lived with my mom/mum and my little brother, my father took off before I was born. Don't blame him really. My mum didn't care for us much and believed we ruined her life, she wasn't the best. I started killing to make money for me and my brother to be able to survive and that was when I discovered my talent for being a hitman and also my lesser ability of forensics,'
'In all honesty, I would have preferred to have a smaller family such as yours. My siblings were just seen as competition, so I never got to know them, just made sure they got out of my way,' He paused as he took a sip from his tea. 'We never had to struggle financially due to the Togami business we have. I haven't really had other people to socialise with other than my butler, and my family, who I talked to for business purposes,'

'I can't imagine ever hurting my little brother, but that was since I had a bond with him. I suppose it was different for you, but I don't blame you, you had to otherwise you would be exiled,' I sympathised.
'I don't imagine many people would understand. So, I thank you for understanding,' He has a faint smile on his face.
'It's no problem... now, finish your tea so we can go explore!' I grinned.
'Be patient, Y/N. I was just trying to enjoy my tea,' He sighed as he placed down the cup and stood up. 'Come on, let's go,'
We climbed the stair well until we reached the fourth floor. The first room we found was a lab, a chemistry lab. Inside was a tall cabinet of various chemicals, both deadly and safe. There was also a small table for doing experiments, it was complete with test tubes, a Bunsen burner, a tripod, heat gauze, whatever what chemistry, it was there. 'I can't help but think keeping the poisons right there isn't very good. But this is Monokuma, who am I kidding,' I muttered to myself while looking through the bottles.
The next room we tried to go into was locked. Unsure of what it was, I looked on the map, over it was a sign of a desk with flags, presumably the headmasters office, but the other unlock able room had the symbol of screens with a Monokuma leading off the side of it. We assumed it was a surveillance room where Monokuma watched us all. Probably how he knew where we were all the time.
The next room we entered was an office. The first thing I noticed was a picture on the floor. I walked over to it, picking it up. I gasped as I looked What was on it.
'Byakuya... come look at this,' I gestured him over before showing it to him.
'They all knew each other before they came here?' He pondered.
'But why wouldn't they mention it?' I was suddenly cut off.
'Give that back!' Monokuma snatched the picture out of my hands.
'What was that?' I asked.
'None of your business,' He said before vanishing again.
'Something is incredibly wrong with that,' Byakuya frowned.
'I know,' I hit my lip 'let's go look somewhere else,'
We walked into the music room and I gazed at the piano. 'It's beautiful!' I ran over to it, running my fingers ver the keys.
'Have you ever played before?' Byakuya walked up behind me, playing a few notes.

'Not really. But I would love to learn,' I smiled up at him. But before we could continue our conversation, Kirigiri and Makoto entered the room.
'Kyoko, I'm not hiding anything from you, I promise,' Makoto said.
'If it is truly that important to hide it from me, I understand,' She sighed, clearly disappointed before looking over at me and Byakuya. 'Good morning,' She greeted us.
'Good morning Makoto, Kirigiri,' I smiled, grabbing Byakuya's hand before whispering to him 'I think we should leave,'
'Me and Y/N will be going now,' We walked out of the room together.
'Any idea of what they were talking about?' I looked up at him.
'Unfortunately, no. But, I believe they are working together,' He explained.
'Oh, That makes sense. Let's go back to the dining hall, see if anyone else has any valuable information,' I grabbed onto him hands, pulling him down the stairwell.
There wasn't really any new information. No escape route at all. But, Kyoko had said she found something peculiar in the AV room and she wanted us to meet I'm the Locker room. Although we were confused, we went.
'Good. You're all here,' She let out a sigh of relief before opening one of the lockers and pulling out a computer. 'I found this hidden in the AV room,'
'Hold on, didn't we already find a laptop in the library?' Leon pointed out.
'Yes, but this one is not the same. Chihiro had access to this one,' She explained as she switched the laptop on. The screen came to life and a green hued beheaded Chihiro.
'Hello there, I'm Chihiro Fujisaki,' The AI greeted us.
'Does anyone want to ask him anything?' Kyoko looked around.
'What are you?' Hifumi asked before Kyoko typed it in.
'I'm the AI of Chihiro Fujisaki, Alter Ego. I was created by my master to try to find a way to escape. I analysed all the data he gave me, but I was unable to find any escape route. But, speaking of my master, I haven't seen him recently. Where is he?'
'He's dead,' Kyoko typed it in, to which the Alter Ego looked dismayed,
'Oh. I had suspected as much, but still, even if I am an AI, it hurts to know,' He frowned 'But, as I did for my master I will analyse any data you have for me,'
'Thank you, Alter Ego,' I said before it was typed in.
Alter ego laughed slightly. 'It is the sole purpose of my existence, so its the least I can go,'
'That's amazing!' Hifumi exclaimed.
'Chihiro... even though he isn't here, he's still helping us... dammit,' Mondo clenched his fists together.
'So, if we want to talk to Alter Ego, we should come here?' I asked, tilting my head.
'Yes, but do not be too frequent, we need to avoid detection. This is one of the only places without cameras,' She explained. 'But, I suggest one group of us use the bathhouse,'
'Sounds like a good idea,' Leon agreed, pulling out a mono coin from his pocket. 'Anyone got something I can put on one side so we can do a flip of it?' Everyone searched their pockets and Sakura pulled out a sweet wrapper that was still slightly sticky so that it would stick.
We all stood back, the girls were the wrapper and the boys were the plain side. Leon flipped the coin in the air before catching it on the back of his hand. He moved his hand away to reveal the wrapper side had won.
'Yes! We get to use the bath house!' I cheered as I high-fived Sakura.
'Dammit,' Mondo sighed.
'Come on guys, let's go and leave the girls to it,' Taka instructed.
'I could have really used a bath to destress,' Makoto complained as he walked out.
It was now just me, Sakura, Kyoko and Celeste. We changed out of our clothes, wrapping ourselves in towels, and entered the bath room to bathe. While bathing, Celeste came over to me, sitting beside me as I bathed in the water.
'Y/N. I'm sorry for what I did. I was wrong, I'll admit it,' She sighed.
'As long as you can accept that I'm with byakuya, we'll be good,' I smiled softly.
'I.. I can accept it. It just hurt me to see you putting so much trust in him. I felt like... I was being replaced,' She looked down into the water.
'Byakuya is the person I love romantically, you are the person I love platonically. You're a really great friend and I don't want that to change,' I held out my hand. 'Shake on it?'
'Of course,' she took my hand, shaking it gently while smiling.

A Man and His Greatsword
Michael Adkins is a unique 28-year-old man. Born with above average strength and emerald green eyes, he always wanted to live in a fantasy world. He was very much into fantasy light novels, manga, and anime, especially a certain one that involves a black armored man with a large greatsword. Michael always dreamed of going on an adventure in a fantasy world. On a whim, Michael is summoned by the god of Alorah, one of the fantasy worlds he had always read about! Alorah's God, Eden, gives Michael a choice of three bonuses and a custom class to take with him into Alorah. This is the start of Michael's fantasy adventures. P.S. This is my first novel, I'm writing this since there were little novels I've found with a main character that wields a greatsword. Don't expect anything good. There will be a lot of mistakes, so please help me with that! P.P.S The later chapters will (hopefully) be much less cringy than the early ones. Please give it a shot!
