"So, tell me about yourself" he said as he began to cut up some mushrooms. I watched, interested to see what he was going to make. I sat up on the barstool at the counter and shrugged.
"There's nothing to tell"
He looked at me and I looked back with an eyebrow raised. "What's your favourite colour?"
I shrugged, "I don't have one"
He slammed the knife down on the board making me jump. "You don't have a favourite colour??" He asked appalled.
I couldn't help but chuckle, "why do I need to have a favourite colour? Why can't I like all colours?" I asked.
He nodded his head, "fine, that's fair enough" he went back to chopping.
"What's your favourite colour then?" I asked curious.
"Blue"
I rolled my eyes smiling, "okay favourite animal?"
"Pandas" he replied grinning. It made my smile grow.
"Pandas are pretty bloody adorable" I agreed.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked without looking up and I was glad that he wasn't looking cause I'm sure my face was as red as the tomato he was dicing up.
"What's it to you?" I asked curiously, pushing away the colour and trying to control my racing heart.
He stopped dicing and looked up into my eyes, "because I want to know if I can make a move or not" he stated as if it were nothing causing my eyebrows to shoot up.
I tried to say something but I didn't know what to say, my mouth opened and closed like a fish until finally I said "lol k"
Lol k.
Lol fúcking k.
God I'm good.
Not.
I mentally sighed and physically rolled my eyes when I saw that he was smirking. I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from grinning. "Whatever man" I mumbled and looked at what he was making, he had diced up some mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and a few other vegetables. My eyes wandered over to him and I couldn't help but check him out again.

God he's fúcking hot.
"How old are you?" I asked, eyeing the slight stubble on his chin.
"Turned 18 a month ago" he replied glancing at me and I looked away.
I suddenly realised that it's the holidays and he's sitting here with me when he could be out partying and doing anything else. "Why are you here?" He looked up at me confused. "I mean, it's the holidays, shouldn't you be out partying and getting laid?"
He shrugged his shoulders, "I'm trying to save up so that I can move out soon, I was going to get another job just for the 2 weeks but when my Grandmother called and asked me to fill in she made a few very good points. At first I said no, I mean babysitting? No thanks, definitely not my kind of thing. But then she explained it was for a 17 year old and that quickly made me reconsider. She also made the point that you were gorgeous, which she was right and that you didn't want a babysitter so you would let me go out if I wanted to"
I nodded me head, trying to ignore the fact that he called me gorgeous, "that's true, I don't need or want a babysitter, I just agreed to one because it was the only way my parents would let me stay home and not go to Paris"
"And why didn't you want to go to Paris?" He asked as he cracked some eggs into the fry pan.
I shrugged, "I don't find Paris that appealing to me, all the romance that goes on there is weird and I hate touristy places... I also didn't want to go on yet another family vacation that my parents force themselves to go on to save their marriage. I mean, I'm happy that they're trying but I'm over watching them act fake happy on the trip, it's exhausting" He frowned and I shook my head, "it's fine I don't give a shit"

"Still, that sucks" I looked into his blue eyes and couldn't seem to look away, they were so beautiful.
The frypan made a loud popping sound which broke our eye contact and he went back to what I assume is an omelette.

The Dungeon Calls for a Sage
Archimedes was the ego behind one of the most powerful dungeons ever created. He grew and developed his halls, filling them with powerful monsters and beasts, over the course of thousands of years. He was a grand structure of ten thousand floors which even heroes had failed to defeat. However, an Evil God had come from another world, calling himself the Demon King, and a party of heroes were sent to do battle with it. Through their victory, they obtained enough strength to breeze through Archimedes' dungeon like it was nothing. Forseeing the end of his life, and realizing how pointless his pursuit of power had been, Archimedes destroyed himself, taking the heroes down with him. Still, Archimedes felt despair that he had lived a worthless life as something as pitiful and futile as a dungeon. Sensing his regret and potential, the voice of the world presented Archimedes with the chance to start anew and live a more meaningful life. Thrilled and hopeful for the first time in eons, Archimedes accepted the offer, only to be reborn again as a dungeon core with not a single room or monster to his name. Just what was the meaning of this?! Archimedes couldn't figure out what the voice of the world was thinking. Somehow, he would have to draw a sage into his dungeon to figure it out for him. _______________________ DCS is now a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying end.
