"Parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight till it be morrow."
"Someone didn't write that Romeo and Juliet essay that's due today" Alice said, dragging out the 'y' in today, causing Theresa to stop writing in her book that was currently sitting on the front of Bella's truck, and look at her, "I didn't forget, I'm just a very fast writer" Theresa said, causing Alice to smirk, "Or were you just dreaming about Jasper all night?" Alice asked the girl, causing her to blush.
"Don't forget I can read minds" Edward said as he walked past the two over to where Bella stood with all of her friends, "You stay out of my head!" Theresa yelled at him. Even without seeing Edward's face she could tell that he was smirking.
"Here's dream boy now" Emmett said as the group turned their heads to watch Jasper walk into the parking lot. He had told Theresa earlier today that he couldn't get give her a ride to school this morning and now she knew why. She watched as he cleaned the blood, most likely from some un-expecting deer, off of the corner of his lips with his finger.
"He couldn't even care to clean himself up" Rosalie snickered.
He has recently been having trouble with his hunger, according to Alice, but he refused to tell Theresa, hence why Alice spilled the beans to the girl that she considered a sister, knowing that Jaspers fear of her "thinking of him differently" was just that, a fear.
"Mornin' darlin'" Jasper said as he approached his mate.
Theresa smiled, wrapping her hands around his neck and kissing him.
"I guess we're all just dead meat huh?" Emmett asked his brother, causing the couple to split apart.
"No, he already had some of that" Rosalie said as she glared at her 'twin' brother, "Watch it" Jasper said, returning the glare to her.

"So!" Alice yelled, clapping her hands together at the same time, trying to ease the awkwardness, "Did you get Bella anything for her birthday?" Alice asked Theresa as the girl shook her head, "She said not to" Theresa said, remembering the day that she had asked Bella what she wanted for her birthday to which the girl replied, "Nothing" with a glare, causing Alice to roll her eyes, "You humans are all the same! She doesn't really mean that!" Alice yelled as Theresa furrowed her eyebrows, remembering the glare she received from Bella before shaking her head, "No, I think she was pretty specific about no gifts" She said as the bell rang.
"Whatever" Alice said as she grabbed her bag and put it on her shoulder.
"You need to be more careful" Rosalie said to Jasper, arms crossed over her chest.
The family grabbed their bags and began to walk towards the school, everyone but Rosalie and Jasper, who were currently glaring at each other.
"Jas," Theresa said, pulling on his arm, causing him to stop glaring at Rosalie and turn his attention towards Theresa, "Let's go."
Jasper nodded in response to Theresa and gave Rosalie one last glare before walking into the school.

"I said no gifts!" Theresa heard Bella yell as Jasper and her walked hand and hand in the hallways of the school, "And no parties!"
"That's definitely about my sister" Jasper said, causing Theresa to smile as they turned a corner, seeing Bella, Edward, and Alice standing there.
"You're wearing this to the party tonight," Alice said, shoving a box into Bella's chest, "You'll love it, I already saw it" She said causing Bella to sigh and give Alice a look, "My place, tonight, be there" Alice said before turning to the couple standing behind the three, watching them interact with smiles on their faces, "And you two too!" Alice yelled before walking to class.

"Stop kicking me!" Theresa whisper yelled to Jasper with a smile on her face as the two sat next to each other in English class as the movie version of Romeo and Juliet played on a tv that was rolled in on a cart by their teacher, Mr. Birdy.
"I don't know what your talking about ma'am" Jasper said with a smirk as Theresa smiled and shook her head, "Your lucky I-"
"Now, who would like to repeat the last few lines? Just to show they were paying attention?" Mr. Birdy, asked the class, interrupting Theresa, his eyes scanning the room before finally falling on Edward, "Mr. Cullen."
"Oh, yes, Mr. Birdy," Edward said, clearing his throat before reciting the last few lines of the movie, "O, here. Will I set up my everlasting rest, and shake the yoke of inauspicious stars from this world-wearied flesh. Eyes, look your last! Arms, take your last embrace! And lips, O you, the doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss. A dateless bargain to engrossing death! Thus with a kiss I die."
Mr. Birdy just stared at Edward for a moment before clearing his throat, "Eyes on the screen, people" He said as he pressed the play button on the remote, starting the movie again.
"He couldn't even pretend to be normal?" Theresa asked Jasper as he shrugged.

The Simulacrum
"He who fights with harem tropes should see to it that he himself does not become a harem protagonist. And if you gaze for long into a narrative, the narrative gazes also into you." --- Friedrich Nietzsche (probably?) How would you react if one day you woke up inside an environment running on tropes and clichés? For allegedly average high-schooler Leonard Dunning, this question became quite relevant when one day he woke up in a pristine city on a strange island in the middle of the Atlantic, without any memories, surrounded by classmates who are barely more than characterless placeholders, and with a classic indecisive harem protagonist and his impossibly beautiful love interests for friends. That would be hard to deal with already, yet his investigation into the tropes governing the world, trying to avoid harem shenanigans, and his odd blend of outside-context knowledge, unique abilities, and a penchant for causing trouble wherever he goes ends up dragging him into the center of the action anyway. Disclaimer: This is a tongue-in-cheek, slice of life romantic comedy, with occasional sprinkles of combat and mystery to spice things up. Please do not expect a straight up deconstruction beyond some in-universe meta-commentary by the characters.
