Theresa sat on the counter in the bathroom, looking at the bruises on her wrists from the grip one of the men had on her, as Jasper cleaned the blood off of her face.
"I'm sorry" Jasper said as he used a towel to clean the blood off of Theresa's cheek.
"For what?" Theresa asked, turning her attention from her wrists to Jasper.
"Not getting there in time" He said as Theresa shook her head before talking, "Jasper, you saved me."
"You saved yourself Tess. Whatever you did scared them enough to let you go" Jasper said as he tried to clean the blood on her lip, causing Theresa to wince.
Instantly Jasper dropped the towel and put his hands on both sides of her, gripping the counter.
"I could go back there and kill them" He said, most likely talking to himself, but Theresa still heard him.
"Jasper-" Theresa said, taking one of his hands in hers, but quickly dropping it because of how cold it was.
"Jasper, your freezing-" Theresa said, but was cut off by Jasper as she turned her attention from his hand to his eyes, that were now blood red.
"What are those?" Jasper asked her as he looked at Theresa's wrist, noticing the old cuts that were now scars and the fresh cuts that were still red.
"Jasper-" Theresa said, but was cut off by Jasper looking at the door then back at her again, his eyes still blood red.
"Stop me, please. Just talk, distract me" Jasper said as Theresa sat there in shock before shaking her head, Jasper needed her right now. She could ask him about his eye color later.
Theresa turned her attention back to Jasper.
"Jasper, you're not a killer."
Jasper laughed sarcastically.
"As if you'd know!" He yelled as he walked away from Theresa, towards the bathroom door.

"Jasper!" Theresa yelled, jumping off of the counter and grabbing him by the wrist, making him turn towards her.
Theresa did the only thing she could think of in that moment, so she did.
When she pressed her lips against his it's like time stopped. She didn't realize that she had to stand on her tippy toes to reach him, or that she was kissing him to stop Jasper from hurting those men, because when he kissed back all she could think about was how soft and gentle his lips were. How his hands wrapped around her waist as her hands moved from his face to around his neck.
It was perfect.
As they pulled away from the kiss Theresa noticed that Jasper's eyes weren't blood red anymore, instead they were his usual golden color.
"I have to go" Jasper said, quickly turning around to walk out of the bathroom again.
"Wait, your not gonna like kill anyone right?" Theresa asked him, making him stop in his tracks.
"Shit" Jasper said, remembering why he was going to leave in the first place, before turning back around and crashing his lips against Theresa's, this time with more urgency as he held Theresa's face in his hands.
When they pulled away from the kiss they both stood there for a minute, before Jasper quickly left the bathroom.
Theresa walked towards the bathroom door that Jasper closed behind him as he left and put her back against it, sliding down it until she was sitting on the floor.
She put her fingers up to her lips and thought about one thing and one thing only, "Jasper."
~~~~
All night Theresa stayed up, searching online, and writing down what she found in her notebook.
Incredible strength, red eyes, and cold hands.
It took her mind off of trying to figure out how she protected herself earlier. She thought about how quickly Jasper showed up, how he knew where she was, and how she had to stop him from killing the group of men.
She found it frightening how easily Jasper could have killed those men, how she had to talk to him to calm him down, how his eyes changed from a golden color to blood red, and how his hands were as cold as ice.
When Theresa searched these things online, they all had one thing in common, "Vampires" Theresa said quietly, not believing what she has found out.
"Vampires" Theresa said again, this time believing that she had found out the secret that Forks had, vampires.
