Theresa skipped the next few days of school, complaining of a sore throat and cough, but she was feeling fine, physically at least. Mentally she was a mess.
Theresa couldn't logically explain what she had found out about the Cullen's, or more what she had suspected of them, but she knew, whether it was true or not, she needed her space.
If it was true, then they had all been lying to her, Bella included. Her only friends, the only people she trusted, Bella, the girl she had to live with from now on, had betrayed her. And if it wasn't true, then she was going nuts, completely nuts, and that scared her.
Theresa hadn't spoken to Bella since that night. She had used the days at home to move her things from the living room to the attic, that Charlie had finally finished for her, and to contemplate what her next move would be.
Would she confront Jasper? Would she just push down this insane conspiracy she had made up about the Cullen's? She had no clue.
Theresa was brought out of her thoughts and back into the real world when she heard a knock at her bedroom door.
"Come in" She said, knowing it was most likely Charlie since Bella was never home anyway.
The bedroom door opened and in walked a smiling Charlie.
"Hey there" Charlie said, pausing and looking around her room, which was currently scattered with books and papers about the supernatural world, before looking at her with a forced smile and continuing to speak, "How ya doin'?" He asked her as she gave him a look that said, "really?"
"Um, how anyone would be doing right now" Theresa replied as Charlie nodded his head, "Right, right, understandable" Charlie said, clearing his throat to try to ease the awkward silence between the two after he spoke.

"Well, um school called, askin' when you'd be back. I told them to give you some more time, considering everything that had just happened-" Charlie said as he scratched the back of his head, but was cut of by Theresa, "I'm going back tomorrow" Theresa said quickly, cutting Charlie off.
"Um, okay then. I'll let them know" Charlie said, turning around the leave the room before stopping, "You sure about this?" He asked Theresa, turning around to look at her.
"A hundred percent" Theresa said, paying no attention to him as she went through books, highlighting information she needed to prove to herself she was either right or wrong.
"Okay then, see you at dinner" Charlie said, scared for the young girls sanity for a moment, before walking down the steps of the attic.
"Teenagers" He muttered under his breath as he closed the door behind him.
