Theresa stood at her locker, grabbing her books for her next class, when her name was yelled.

"Theresa!"

She sighed, knowing who's voice it was.

"How do you like the rain girl?" Mike asked as he walked over, next to Theresa, and put his arms around her shoulders, a smile prominent on his face the whole time.

She quickly shrugged his arms off of her shoulders.

"It's nice" Theresa said, quietly, as she went to open her locker more, trying to push Mike away, but her plan failed and instead Mike shut her locker completely.

"So, you know Prom's in a month" He said as Theresa nodded, "Okay."

"And I was wondering-" Mike said, but was cut off by Theresa, "No."

"No?"

"Sorry" Theresa said, immediately feeling bad.

"Do you have a date already or?-" Mike asked her. Theresa was about to respond, but was cut off by a familiar voice.

"I don't think that's what she means" The familiar southern voice said as Jasper's arm wrapped around Theresa's shoulder casually, causing Mike to stand up straighter.

"Why don't you let her answer for herself, Hale?" Mike asked him as Jasper smirked.

"I think she did, and it was a no", Jasper said before turning his attention to Theresa, "If I'm correct?" He asked her as she nodded.

"Now if you don't mind we have a class to get to" Jasper said, not waiting for Mike to reply, and instead walking off, his arm still wrapped around Theresa's shoulders.

As they walked down the hallway Theresa noticed the stares and whispers that they received, but she mostly heard Jasper's name being whispered.

"They talk about you as if you're not here" She whispered to Jasper.

"Well Mike sure seems to know that I'm here" Jasper whispered in Theresa's ear, giving her goosebumps, as they both turned their heads to look at Mike, who was indeed glaring at Jasper.

Jasper smirked and gave him a salute before turning back around, causing Theresa to laugh.
