《Bakugou X Kirishima's sister (Reader)》Chapter 11

You spent the rest of the weekend working on the homework you ditched on Friday. Monday rolled around and your brother had to wake you up once again. When you didn't get up from his incessant knocking, he swung open your door pulling you out of bed. The both of you walked to class as he scolded you for oversleeping. You didn't mean to, but you just couldn't sleep and found yourself up pretty late, sometimes 3 in the morning late. But luckily for you, you didn't doze off in your morning classes.

The girls were chattering about normal school stuff at the lunch table and you enjoyed listening in to the stories of their weekend adventures.

Mina turned towards you, attempting to lower her voice, "So, what are you going to do about the whole, date with Denki thing?"

"Mina," you whispered back, "This isn't really the place." Your eyes wide, scared someone would overhear her. But as you glanced over at the one person you didn't want to hear, you realized it was too late and Mina really didn't know how to whisper.

"Jirou, wait!" you exclaimed with one arm outstretched towards her. But she had already excused herself from the table and was leaving the lunchroom.

"Thanks a lot," you grimaced at Mina before you followed after Jirou.

"Oops." Was all you heard as you walked away.

You pushed through the cafeteria doors and spotted her walking out to the courtyard. You jogged after her, grabbing her shoulder stopping her. "Jirou please you have to listen to me."

She didn't say anything, she only had a sad look on her face as she turned to look away from you. You took her silence as an opportunity to plead your case.

"I don't like Denki like that, like at all. My brother made a stupid bet, I would never do that to you. You're my friend, you have to believe me." You emphasized the word never, trying to get her to realize that you cared about her too much to do that.

She sighed, "I don't want to be upset," she looked back at you, "boys are so stupid."

You laughed, hugging her, "Trust me I know."

She gave you a hug back, laughing with you.

"Listen, I'm going to do anything I can to get out of that date. But if I can't just know I'll be the worst date possible. Plus, you're way too good for him. We can find you someone way cooler."

She smiled, "You know I'm surprised Denki's not dead right now. Bold of him to try and take you out."

You turned to her confused, "What? E's not that overprotective."

She laughed again, "No not your brother. I'm talking about Bakugou. I kind of saw you guys at the arcade on Friday."

Your face began to heat up, "That's not what it looked like. We're just... Friends?" You weren't entirely sure what the relationship was between the two of you.

"Right, well your secrets safe with me." The bell rang, forcing the both of you to walk back to class.

"Jirou I swear-"

"Excuse me," A deep monotone voice spoke from behind you. The two of you turned to find the purple haired boy from Friday. "You're the new girl in class A right?"

Jirou looked at you, "I'll see you in class," she said before she left you with the stranger before you. You wanted to call after her to wait but she was already gone.

"I'm Shinso from class B and I just wanted to apologize to you about Monoma's outburst on Friday. We in class B kind of have to keep an eye on him sometimes. I hope he didn't bother you too much."

"Uh, no. Thanks for the apology?" You weren't sure what to say.

"Right, well have a nice day." Before he could walk away someone pushed between the two of you.

"Out of my way, extras." You heard the rough voice say as they walked past you towards your class.

What was his problem? "Well, see you around." You turned towards your classroom, walking in you found everyone chatting, except for Bakugou how sat in his seat with his arms crossed, angrily staring out the window.

Aizawa surprisingly dismissed your class a few minutes early. You walked with Mina back to your rooms and told her that you and Jirou were cool again before you two separated into your rooms to change and grab your things. You met up in the hallway outside of your dorms and walked to the common area together. The two of you were joking and laughing as you pulled out your homework waiting for the others to join you. Your friends slowly began to show up, but once Bakugou joined the rest of you the atmosphere had changed.

It looked like he was still in a mood from earlier. The time slowly passed as the group began to focus on their homework. As the night progressed you soon realized that Bakugou wasn't talking to you. He hadn't said a single word to you. He wouldn't even argue about who had the correct answer, he was completely ignoring you.

What's his issue? He's been acting weird since lunch. You ignored it and continued working on what was left for the night. Finally, finishing up with your math you closed your books, saying goodbye, you took one last glance at Bakugou but he didn't so much as look in your direction, his eyes glued to the book before him.

You made your way up to your room, sitting on your bed. You weren't tired and you knew you wouldn't be able to fall asleep until much later. You turned on your computer, pulling up Netflix you decided to binge watch some stupid show that was recommended. Sitting on your bed you tried to focus on the storyline, but your mind kept wondering, trying to analyze what had happened today.

You'd almost finished the first season when a screen popped up asking if you were still watching. And to be honest no, you'd stopped watching ages ago, but you looked at the clock, it was only 10. You wanted something sweet before you resumed playing the show. You slipped on some slippers and made your way to the kitchen in the common room. Opening the fridge, you rummaged for anything that would curb your sweet tooth.

"What are you doing?"

You jumped, turning swiftly to the rough voice behind you. Katsuki stood there, arms crossed, glaring at you. You put your hand over your heart, "God, don't sneak up behind people, you could give them a heart attack."

With the same angry expression, he said, "Tch, you're training to be a hero, pay more attention to your surroundings."

"What's your problem today? You ignore me all day and then you think you can just come out of nowhere and lecture me?"

He sighed, ignoring you again and going to grab a cup from the cupboard and filled it with some water.

"Hey! Don't ignore me, I asked you a question."

He turned towards you, leaning against the counter. "I asked you a question first."

"Are you really doing this? Fine, I got a sweet tooth and came down to find something to snack on." He made a single huff like laugh at your answer. "Well what are you doing down here? Isn't it passed your bedtime?"

He grumbled at you, "I couldn't sleep."

"That makes two of us," you muttered as you closed the fridge and opened the pantry instead. You groaned, "Of course we don't have anything sweet."

Katsuki appeared behind you, pulling out a few ingredients, placing them on the counter before going back to the cupboard and bringing down two mugs.

"What are you doing?" you peeked over his shoulder.

His face turned towards yours slightly, "You said you wanted something sweet right?"

"Well, yeah."

"Have you ever made a mug cake before?" He spoke with exasperation.

"No?"

"That's what we're making." He handed you different ingredients and told you what to do. You stuck one of the mugs in the microwave.

Katsuki rested both of his hands on the counter, on either side of you. You turned slowly, realizing he had you trapped between the counter and himself. "What are you doing?" the words left your mouth slowly. But he didn't answer, he only looked at you like he was looking for something on your face or in your eyes, you couldn't tell. The look on his face reminded you of Friday when he had questioned you about the different aspects of your quirk. Lost in your own thoughts you so desperately wished you could know what he was thinking. And technically you could know, but that would have been a painful invasion of privacy.

"Can I try something?" you asked, meeting his stare.

"What?" His face hardened back to its usual angry expression.

"I just, think of something, it could be anything. And if it's too painful, I'll stop."

He took a deep breath before answering you. "Fine." He closed his eyes and you waited a few seconds before activating your quirk. Your quirk reached in towards his thoughts. He grimaced slightly, before his face relaxed, adapting to the way it felt to have your quirk invade his thoughts. What you saw made you laugh. Katsuki had envisioned himself punching Monoma, but at the last second Monoma had turned into the purple haired boy, Shinso.

"Okay, I understand Monoma, but what did Shinso ever do to you?" you laughed.

Katsuki's angry expression returned and he pushed himself away from the counter freeing you. Crossing his arms, he said, "I guess you could say it's personal."

You shook your head, a small smile on your face. Glancing at the clock before you spoke again, "I think it's time I go finish binge watching my show."

"You're not going to bed?" he questioned you.

"I thought I already mentioned that I couldn't sleep."

"What are you watching?"

"Just some stupid show on Netflix."

He looked at you with a smirk. "Well, lets go watch your show."

Your jaw fell slightly, "huh?"

With his forefinger he pushed your jaw back up, tilting your head slightly to look up at him. "Like I said before, I can't sleep. Or are you afraid you'll get in trouble?"

"Wha- No, I," You stammered through your words, trying to put a cohesive sentence together.

"Then let's go." He grabbed both of your mugs with one hand and the two of you began to make your way back to your dorm.

What the hell just happened? You thought to yourself. One-minute Katsuki is completely ignoring you and now he's acting so different. Sure, the two of you weren't that close but you've never experienced or knew that this side of Katsuki even existed. He was only ever, ill-tempered, competitive or seemed to be putting up with you.

You opened the door to your dorm and went to your computer, waking it up from the black screen. Resuming your show, you went to join Katsuki on your bed. Sitting cross legged next to him you took a spoonful of the cake. The cake once again tasted amazing.

"Okay how do you do it? Why are you so good at cooking?"

He rolled his eyes, "I don't know, it's just something I picked up."

"Right," was all you said before taking another bite.

The show continued as you both sat there in silence. It was comfortable and didn't feel as awkward as you thought it would. Maybe it was because of what he had said, about you being like a sister to him. Maybe that's what he saw you as, a girl version of his best friend, an extension of Eijiro. You tried to make up any excuse, there was no possible way he had feelings for you, and you couldn't have them for him. And so, you both sat there, watching the show, you truly knew nothing about. You didn't know how much time had passed, and honestly you didn't care. It just felt nice to sit there and enjoy something as trivial as binge watching a TV show.
