'the back door' said nat.

'what-' i stuttered.

'use the back door, get out of here, i'll cover for you.' she replied.

mattia and i looked at one another and hesitated.

'GO.'

we rushed out of the back door, hearing nat opening the door and speaking to the cops only seconds later.

i was at a loss, the words natalia had mumbled just last night echoing in my mind.

i hope you know how much danger you're putting me in

i hope you know how much danger you're putting me in

i hope you know how much danger you're-

'y/n!' mattia shook me.

i looked around and saw that we were in some random parking lot.

'y/n we need to stay out of plain sight, our faces were clear on those tapes so i think we should just wait it out somewhere until we hear back from nat.' said mattia.

the panic that was rising in me started to settle back down.

'okay, yeah.' i said, 'but can we grab a drink or something first.'

'sure, pull up your hoodie.' he said, pulling his over his head.

we walked into a nearby 7 eleven and picked up a few snacks and drinks.

as mattia paid i let my mind wander, still trying to take in what was happening to us.

my eyes danced around the small store, stopping at a small tv in the corner.

i observed quietly as one of the men behind the counter watched the news.

our tapes were still playing.

i tugged at mattias sleeve, signalling for him to hurry up, my anxiety beginning to bubble up again.

the man who was watching tv turned around to pick his phone up off the counter, causing our eyes to meet accidentally.

he held eye contact for around 3 seconds before turning back to the screen.

i let out a small sigh of relief, grateful that he hadn't recognized me.

until he whipped his head back around in realization.

fuck.

i frantically pulled mattia by the arm, using my eyes to explain what had happened.

mattia understood immediately and as soon as we were out, we took off running.

—————————————————

after around ten minutes, we decided to take shelter in a quiet alleyway.

memories from the day i had met him flooded my mind.

we both breathed heavily, our hands on our knees, trying to restore our breathing rates.

a minute or two had passed and we decided to sit down.

i was sitting on mattias lap when a wave of sadness came crashing over me.

i tried to blink back my tears but i quickly began sobbing uncontrollably.

'hey, hey, hey.' i felt mattia wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me into his chest.

he let me cry into him for a while, stroking my cheek and rubbing my arm.

'i'm sorry.' i said after i finally stopped.

'look at me.' he said, placing two fingers under my chin, guiding me until we were face to face.

'you have nothing to be sorry about. this whole fucking mess is my fault and i should be the sorry one.'

he held my face in one hand.

'but i'm not. i'm not sorry. i fucking love you, y/n, and i'd do this all again if it meant i'd get to spend more time with you.' he said.

even though i looked like a mess, i couldn't help but smile.

just looking at his face was enough to melt my heart.

i buried my hands behind his ears, in his silky, soft hair, and pulled in even closer.

our foreheads held together and our noses touched.

sparks were flying between us and i could feel my heart beaming.

'i fucking love you too, mattia.' i whispered.

a second later, our lips came crashing together.

i embraced all of him, one of my hands holding the back of his head whilst the other traced his strong jaw.

he cupped my face, pushing his plump lips against mine as hard as possible.

i felt one of his hands slide down to my throat where he stopped and gripped.

i couldn't help but let out a tiny moan.

he relished in my pleasure, tightening his grasp slightly.

'you like that, huh?' he growled quietly.

'mhm' was the only response i could manage to give.

he kissed me even harder, i could feel his arousal beneath me.

i reciprocated the energy, until his phone began to ring, making me jump.

he giggled at me as he fished his phone out from his pocket, all while keeping his arm tight around my waist, the butterflies in my stomach becoming more and more excited by the second.

'i'll put it on silent.' he reassured me.

but when we saw who was calling he answered with no hesitation.
