《Smii7yxOC》Again?

Loud music filled my ears as the karaoke machine blasted. Cameras were everywhere as we stayed in the room. Zeus sat at my left and I kept whispering to him. My left leg moved to cover my right leg and his hand was on my knee.
Without warning a camera was shoved in our faces. I smiled but the photographer sent a look that told me to do something so I put a finger on my drunken cheek and then a pair of lips landed where my finger had been. The picture was one I hadn't thought would happen but it was exciting. Zeus was me in male form and that had me a little happier.
"Cookie! Cookie!" I hadn't even noticed the rest of the room until they grew so loud. I turned to see what the fuss was only for Zeus to pick me up and carry me bridal style to the stage as I waited to hear what was going on. I hated karaoke and it was my idea of hell.
Then words formed on the screen and I saw that I was expected to sing. I sighed and gave a look to Zeus and then the couple at a shared stag party.
Pillow talk. Shite. My eyes scanned the light from the screen and the starting note was seen. Only, I couldn't read music properly so I had to go with it. (Googled songs about strange relationships and this was the first one I recognised)
"I'm seeing the pain, seeing the pleasure.
Nobody but you, 'body but me, 'Body but us, bodies together. I love to hold you close, tonight and always, I love to wake up next to you, I love to hold you close, tonight and always, I love to wake up next to you." My eyes were blinded by the light as I stood on the stage. Drunk me was worse than sober me at singing so there was no way I wouldn't be mocked for singing.

When I had finished the song they all set off clapping and I sat back down. Elbowing the side of Zeus as I did so. He laughed and gave me a look of innocence and nothing could persuade me to believe that he was actually innocent.
(Day skip to after the wedding.)
My arms hurt and so did my face. I walked up the drive into my house. Smiling but it had been plastered on. The door wasn't even locked but I figured Jasmine had left early so it made sense. Not much else did. The sun was too bright in my eyes, especially with the freezing temperatures. My breath was as visible inside as it was outside.
My bags were easy to carry and so I walked up the steps to my room. The study was one deal I had yet to face. No video had been up for the week and so I would have to do it at one point, I had done so well uploading videos while away but the week of the wedding was so hectic that I had forgotten. Then I remembered my phone and went to grab the charger.
When I got into my study I was disgusted. My room had clearly been gone through and evidence was left behind. I lifted it with my old pen that hadn't worked for years and the door was used. I walked right down the step and found Jaren.
"Right. I am all up for having fun but why was there a pair of ugly ass pants laying on my desk?" He looked up from his toast that he was making and nodded once. Like it was all okay and there was a reasonable and well thought out reason. He licked the mess of butter off of his finger and went to talk.

"I ended it with her. She is just pissed. What did you do to your nose?" I moved to the bin and put my foot down on the peddle. With a slight tilt, the pants were gone and I wanted to spit on them.
"Got it pierced. Do you like?" He nodded and walked right up to me. His hand was still holding a knife before he placed it down to look closer and touch.
"You ignored me on holiday. I didn't even know you had left." I waved my charger in his face and he seemed to realise that I had been an idiot. For almost the whole month I had been phone free.
When my phone did turn on again buzzes hit me. Social media had exploded. I moved to the living room and sat on the sofa with a sigh. The video of me pretending to fight it out with Zeus, where I talked about Pete, a multitude of images and videos of myself and Zeus. Ships and rumours had started. In a second they were squashed though. I had commented that I never entered any sort of relationship with him. Then I saw it. The video of drunk me singing and swaying as a few too many had been drunk.
"No body but you, 'body but me." I moved away from that video to another and sighed. Placing a hand on my sore stomach before flopping onto the sofa at my side.
"You seem happy," Jaren had commented sarcastically. I stayed still as Jaren then moved around me though I hoped he would eat in his study. Octavia walked over to me and I scruffed her face a little. My nails ran the full length across her head.
"Do you fancy going out?" Jaren asked and I put the idea down before he could get any happier. Suddenly finding the energy I got up and walked out of the room. I hadn't worn any Jaren related clothes in so long that I forgot I ever had. Some things would have to stay a little more permanent. It was easier to move on from him if I didn't have constant reminders.
"You are still avoiding me. Can we not just have a chat, brother?" Hands wrapped all the way around me and his chin rested on my shoulder. Almost instinctively my right hand lifted to run through his hair but I had caught it before he could have felt it.
"No. I like you playing with my hair." All of my body screamed to do it but to also not do it. I eventually turned around and we were so close that if he tried to, his lips could touch mine just by pouting.
"We shouldn't. I mean, this is dangerous." He was against this and so his arms stayed with me as I went to move. He was an idiot that I loved. I just couldn't see it. Yet.

The Storytellers
Myra Kahani lives in a world of gods and prayers. People around her constantly reach out to the gods for advice and suggestions at critical times in their life. But Myra has a problem. No matter what she does, she can't talk to the gods. When Myra meets Roam, an old, enigmatic Storyteller, she finally gets some answers. She learns of the origins of the Universe, the divide between mankind and their deities, and the important role that Storytellers play in her world. But the truth for Myra is just the beginning of her story. The Storytellers is a story that I began to develop from a series of shorter stories that I wrote for a mythology and folklore class. As such, they have a strong basis in the myths and folklore of various cultures and religions. Join me as I try my best to integrate these stories into my own and develop the world of the Storytellers and Myra herself. This is my first attempt at any sort of longer-form fiction so helpful advice is greatly appreciated!
