Kabir - Hello?

Raj - Don't give any reaction. Just listen to me carefully.

Kabir - Okay

Raj - Come to City Hospital right now. Make sure to bring Manik. Nandini got into car accident. Ambulance is bringing her to hospital. I and Manish are on our way.

Kabir - What!!(shockingly but controlled his reactions) Ahhbb...Okay, sure Uncle. I will bring all of them there.

They all went.

Kabir lead the way and they reached Hospital right after the ambulance. Manish and Raj too reached hospital. Others were shocked why Kabir brought them to the hospital. Kabir took them all inside and met Manish and Raj. Kabir saw Nandini lying unconscious on a stretcher with blood running from head covering all her face and had injuries on leg. Kabir rushed to the stretcher and others followed him. Everyone was shocked to see Nandini in such situation. Dhruv started crying while Manik was stunned. He fainted, Kabir sprayed water on Manik and Manik gained conscious.

Kabir - (to Manik) This time you have to see, you just can't simply pass out.

Manik - No, no. (out of breath and anxiously) This can't be true. I must be dreaming. Leave me Kabir. Leave me! (pulling himself from Kabir)

Kabir - QUITE! Stay in place. You have to see this. (Manik stood but was still breathing fastly, his body became all sweaty, he became quite as in a shock)

Nandini was taken to the operation theatre. Manik was losing his conscious and Kabir was trying to keep him awake. Their friends were surprised at Manik's situation while Dhruv was in a shock, not saying a word.

After an hour, Doctors came out.

Raj - Dr. Batra, what's the situation?

Dr. Batra - Dr. Raj, Nandini had lost a lot of blood. Also, her blood type is AB negative. Our blood bank is already short of it. And you know it's really difficult to be found. And we need blood as soon as possible she has some allergy too, from what I observed.

Raj - Yes, she is allergic to cashews and some other nuts. But blood..

Manish - My blood will do.

Raj - But you have diabetes, you can't. My blood type is AB negative but I also have diabetes...

Manik went for tests. After all reports were found to be fine. His blood was transferred to Nandini. Doctors were all trying their best. Everyone was waiting outside the OT.

Doctors came out after an hour.

Dr. Batra - Nandini is all right. Her head injury will heal soon. It was just one deep cut on her head. And a few scratches on arms. She will wake up within few hours but remember to not stress her when she wakes up as it could result to something serious because of her head injury. And Manik remember, she will have headache often for about a month after discharge so take care.

Manik - Sure, Thank you, Batra uncle.

Dr. Batra - No need for thanks, my child. And we are shifting her to another ward. You all can go there and wait for her to wake up.

Manish - Thank you, Dr. Batra.

Dr. Batra - C'mon Manish, It's my work. Take care you all.

Dr. Batra left, Nandini was shifted to VIP ward. All went there and sat on sofas. Manik sat on chair beside Nandini.

Two hours passed, Kabir asked Manish and Raj to go eat something but Manish refused. However, Raj took him out to eat. Dhruv was still in shock. Manik was quite too. Kabir sat beside Manik. Navya asked Kabir and Manik to drink something but both refused.

Finally, Nandini woke up. Navya called Doctor to check her. She was alright now. Doctor left.

Nandini opened her eyes lying on bed.

Manik - So, you finally decided to wake up.

Nandini - (smiling broadly) You came back. I missed you.

Manik - Silly girl (kissed her forehead). You know, you just scared me to death.

Nandini - Shut up!! We still have a long life to live.

Kabir - Okay, okay. Enough of your talks. Tell me Nandini, are you feeling pain anywhere?

Nandini - No.

Kabir - Is your head aching?

Nandini - No.

Kabir - Legs?

Nandini - No.

Kabir - Good. Rest well. Whatever you need, just tell your this brother.

Nandini - Sure. Your majesty.

Nandini, Kabir and Manik started smiling.

No one noticed Manish and Raj were standing outside the room listening everything.

Dhruv finally dared to come forward.

Nandini - Actually, I was in a hurry too. It was green signal for us vehicles but a small girl suddenly appeared in front of car. I move the steering to change direction and hit the tree. But see, I am fine now.

Raj - That's good, if you are fine. I have a good news, I just talked to Dr. Batra, he said you could be discharged after three days.

They all were happy now.

My mom was taking me back home from school when got hit by a truck, she died on the spot while saving me and I was not able to do anything. From that time, whenever I see a car accident victim, I loose my conscious and faints.

Manik - It's okay. I think now I finally overcame my this fear.
