*Skipping to Christmas break*
"Are you excited?" Thomas-Dad, asks her as they get into the car to drive to Disney World. Aricka nods-she'd been binge-watching Disney since her adoption had been finalized-they were celebrating by spending the two week Christmas vacation at Disney!
"I wanna meet Peter Pan!" she exclaims, snuggling close to Roman-he was her Disney marathon buddy, and they'd bonded over a love of singing said Disney songs. "Who do you want to meet, Ro?"
"I think-hm-I want to meet Mickey," he says. "What about you, Virgil?"
"I'm with Aricka-Peter Pan."

"Look Aricka! The perfect Mickey ears for you," her Dad says as he turns around, and places a pair of Peter Pan ears on her head:
"I love them!" she exclaims. "Off to Neverland!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Look!" they were watching a parade now. "It's Peter!" Aricka exclaims, and waves. She was wearing her new favorite shirt:
(It says loved, wanted, chosen, worthy, adopted.)
Peter walks over and hugs her. "Merry Christmas, Lost Girl!" he says and walks back to Wendy. Aricka turns to Thomas and hugs him.
"Dad! Did you see that?"
"I did, Aricka, that was pretty cool, wasn't it?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*After the parade*
They were walking over to get something to eat when someone, ran up behind Aricka-it was Peter! "Hello, Lost Girl!" Aricka's jaw drops as the famous Lost Boy takes her hand. "Let's skip," he says. The boys follow at a distance behind them, Roman recording the encounter. They stop at a shop. "So, how's your day going? Have you run into any pirates yet?"
"No," she giggles. "I saw Tinkerbelle in the parade."
"Oh, that must've been cool! I haven't seen her yet today, so if you see her before me, let her know I"m looking for her." the pair talk, and he hugs her before he has to leave. "I'll see you soon, Lost Girl! Remember, think happy thoughts, and look for the second star to the right!"

"GASTON!" Aricka screamed and ran up to her favorite villain. He turns around.
"Why hello there." he bends down to her level and signs her book. "I see you've met Belle," he comments as he looks through the pages. "Did she mention me?"
"No." Aricka shook her head. "You're my favorite, Gaston." he looks at her and hugs her.
"You're my favorite too."

*that night*
Vigil let Aricka get on his back so she could see the fireworks better. "Peter," she whispers, hugging her new Peter Pan doll.
They could all tell talking to Peter changed her life. He'd been so nice to her-they'd talked for a while after she called him her favorite lost boy, and he told her to never stop believing.
She'd never do that.
"Look! Tangled, Ro!" she suddenly exclaims, pointing up at the floating lanterns. "All at once, eveything is different, now that I see you..." she sang, making them all smile.
"Nants ingonyama bagithi, baba!" they all jumped when Logan sang from the Lion King. Aricka cheered, and sang,
"It's the circle of life, And it moves us all. Through despair and hope, Through faith and love. Till we find our place On the path unwinding. In the circle, The circle of..." then they all start singing,
"I'm the king of the swingers,
Ooh, the jungle VIP,
I've reached the top and had to stop,
And that's what a-botherin' me.
Oh, oo-bee-doo,
I wanna be like you!
I wanna walk like you,
Talk like you too.
You'll see it's true,
An ape like me
Can learn to be human too." Aricka cheered at the pretty fireworks, and leaned her head against Virgil's shoulder.
Then, "Let It Go," starts playing. They all look at Aricka, and she starts singing,

"The snow glows white on the mountain tonight,
Not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I'm the queen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn't keep it in—heaven knows I tried!
Don't let them in, don't let them see.
Be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know.
Well, they know!
Let it go! Let it go!
I am one with the wind and sky.
Let it go! Let it go!
You'll never see me cry.
Here I stand
In the light of day.
Let the storm rage on!
The cold never bothered me anyway..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She was asleep. As they got on the monorail, Virgil hands her to Logan, and she leans her head against his shoulder. Sleepily, she opens her eyes. "Lo?"
"Shh, go back to sleep," he says, and hands her her Peter Pan doll. She sleepily takes it, and leans back against him.
"I love you Logan." his breath caught in his throat for a second, but he replies,
"I love you, Aricka."
Modern Magic
A Modern Magician BookI looked up at the crooked holo sign while the perfectly bred woman read from a paper, a plastic smile glued to her face.'Welcome to The City,' she said in a fake voice. 'Once formerly known as New York, The City is a place filled with ancient and modern wonders. Remember, if you see any magicians please report to the nearest police station or Black Hand officer.'I smiled at the sign and then raised a single finger. No, not the middle one. A blue misty light spun from my finger and into the holo device. The message quickly changed from the fake woman to one of my own.'Welcome to The City,' the woman read, her hair now dyed a fuchsia. Her eyelids were a dark blue and her bottom lip and right eyebrow were pierced. 'A special message from Hecate, queen of magic.' The woman looked up at me, a smirk playing on her lips. 'Welcome to my city.'
