*Aricka*

After FOUR WEEKS of being in the hospital, I was going home. Patton, Roman, and Logan had stayed home to set up a surprise for me, but Thomas, Virgil, and Damien (Deceit) came to bring me home. "Oh my gosh, actual COLOR!" I exclaim as they wheel me outside.

"What, you didn't know that existed?" Damien jokes. I smack him, and he protests, "Hey, what was that for?"

*time skip to the house*

"WELCOME HOME ARICKA!" All my friends were there-and Jack, and my brothers! I run up to Jack and hug him.

"Hey baby, welcome home." his voice was muffled by my shirt. "I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you too." Even though he'd seen me yesterday, I'd missed him bunches.

After everyone left, I wandered into the kitchen, where Patton was stirring something together. "Can I help?" I ask, and walk over to him.

"Sure thing, kiddo," he replies and hands me a spatula. "Here, mix these ingredients for me, please?" I take the bowl from him and start stirring while he goes over to the oven. "The first batch of cookies are done," he says and sets them on a cooling rack.

"Can we play some music?" I ask, and he nods, pulling up a song on his phone:

"I love this song!" I exclaim.

"Me too!" he adds, and we start singing. (Bold-Patton. Italics-Aricka. Both-Both of them.)

"You could never know what it's like

Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did

Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid

I'm still standing after all this time

Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind

.." We start dancing around the kitchen, and Patton grabs my hand, spinning me in a circle.

Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind

I'm still standing, yeah, yeah, yeah..." We had a silly "dance break, and finish the song,

"

Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid

I'm still standing after all this time

Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind

." We dramatically fall to the ground laughing, and he helps me up.

"That was fun." I nod, and reply,

"A great way to come home."
