《Unforgettable (Peter Parker x Reader)》Last moments together

I stood in the white room of Tony and Bruce's lab on the main floor, helping the moving people pack up the last few bits of their equipment.
The movers stayed far away, probably sensing my bad mood.
As I was packing away some important equipment, something lading in front of me. My scowl depend when I looked up to see who put red and blue fabric in front of me.
"Put this away in a case. Spider-Man won't be needing it anymore." Tony said as he had his hands stuffed in his suit pants pockets, looking pissed.
"What?" I asked as I picked up the suit and saw that it was in fact Peter's suit. I put it down and whipped my head around to glare at him.
"You herd what I said." Tony said and started to walk away.
"I thought you saw Peter as your son! Why would you go and take a peace of him away like that!" I yelled, taking a steep towards him.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw the workers stop what their doing and look in our direction. Tony stopped and turned around to face me once again.
"I did, before he went behind my back, pretending to be a superhero like you did. Your to young (Y/n). You both are." With that, Tony turned his back towards me and disappeared.
I slumped my shoulders and sat down on one of the chairs that was still left in the room. After sitting there for a while, I finally got up and walked over to the lift and went up to my room.
As I did, my phone started to buzz in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw Peter's name flash across the screen.
I took a deep breath and let it out, closing my eyes. I opened them again and pressed the green button and put my phone up to my ear.
"Peter?" I asked when he didn't say anything straight away.
"(Y/n), I-I lost the internship." Peter choked out.
My eyes widened, releasing that he had been crying. I can understand as Tony has taken a part of him away.
"I'm coming over." I said as I stood up and started to walk back over to the lift.
"No (Y/n), you have to pack. I'm fine, really." Peter choked out.

Here Peter like this made my hear shatter into a million tiny peaces. "I don't care. I'm coming over. I'll bee there soon." I said and ended the call.
Knowing Happy wouldn't want to drive me all the way to Queens at this time and he probably wouldn't want to pick up his phone if I called, I started to make the long walk from Manhattan to Queens.
After catching a train and then walking the rest of the way I finally found myself standing in front of Peter's apartment block.
I took a deep breath and made my way inside. I knocked on the door and waited a couple of seconds before Peter's aunt opened the door.
"(Y/n), what are you doing here so late?" She asked opening the door wider.
"Peter called me telling me about what happened. I'm here to cheer him up." I said with a small smile.
She smiled back and moved out of the way to let me in.
"He's in his room. Thank you for being here for him." She said softly.
I walked to where his door was closed and knocked. "Peter, It's (Y/n)."
I didn't get an answer and was about to knock again when the door opened. Like what his voice did from over the the phone, seeing him in person made it worse.
His eyes where red and puffy and he had dried tears on his face. He opened the door all the way and I pulled him into a hug.
"What he did was wrong." I mumbled into his shoulder.
I felt him hug me tighter until he pulled away. "Thanks for coming. Especially since we might not see each other again." He said with a tiny smile.
I frowned.
"Don't say that. I'll do my best to come back and I'll also do my best to get your suit back as well." I said and my eye immediately widened when I realised what I said.
"I-I mean you're internship back. Pfff I don't know why I said suit. It's not like your spider..." I shut my mouth before I could say anything else.
Peter looked at me in shock. "How long have you known?" He squeaked.
I let out a sigh and sat on his bed. He came and sat down beside me, waiting for me to answer. "A week I think? I sorta snooped around in your wardrobe when I stayed over." I mumbled as I looked down at my hands.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't of done that, but I was just curious." I said and waiting for him to go off at me.
"I should of told you sooner." I herd him mumble.
I looked up at him in shock. "I mean, you've been helping me with the Vulture stuff. I was just scared to put you in danger." He continued, still not looking at me.
"Peter, it's fine. I'm already in danger with who my parents where and being related to the Tony Stark. If I knew straight away, that would of not been as much fun." I said bumping my shoulder with his.
"I guess your right." He said, finally looking up. "But why are you in danger because of your parents?" He asked confused.
A sad smile appeared on my face. "I guess that gives us a reason to see each other again."
We both fell back into a comfortable silence. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Peter start to fidget, and with knowing him for a while now, I knew that meant there was something on his mind.
"Hey (Y/n)?" Peter finally said.
I turned to him and raised an eyebrow at him.
"Do...Do you like anyone?" He stuttered out as he turned to face me.
I slightly nodded my head, not trusting my voice after the question. I was also nervous as to where it was going.
"Do you mind me asking who?" He asked in a slightly more confident voice.
I felt my face begin to heat up so I brought my knees up and wrapped my arms around them. I mumbled a small 'you' knowing that he wouldn't be able to here my properly.
But apparently I was wrong.
"Really?" Peter squeaked out.
I shut my eyes and hid my head behind my arms. After a short pause I nodded my head.
I herd shuffling next to me. I put my head up to see Peter fully facing me with a largest smile on his face.
"If-it make you fell better..." Peter started and took in a large breath before he release it and carried on speaking. "I-I like you to."
A large smile appeared on my face and I dropped my legs and sat on his bed properly.
"A-and this gives you another reason to find some way to come back." He said.
I was confused for a second before I felt his lip on mine.
My eyes widened before they close.
The kiss was short and sweet. I opened my eyes slowly and was meet with chocolate box ones.
"I've liked you for a while now. I'v also though you where cool and wouldn't like someone like me." He said as he rested his forehead against mine.
I let out a small laugh. "I thought the same. I guess this is a proper reason to come back ass soon as I can huh."
The large smile on my face dropped when I though about the Homecoming dance. I pulled away and looked at him properly. "Peter, who are you going to take to homecoming then?"
His smile also dropped. "I was going to ask you, but your, you know. Leaving tomorrow." He said as he looked down.
I sighed and grabbed his hand. "Ask Liz. I herd she doesn't have a date yet."
He looked at me with wide eyes. "You sure?"
I nodded my head. "I don't want you to miss the Homecoming dance because of me. Trust me, its fine. I want photos of you in your suit though." I said as serious as I could.
Peter let out a laugh and I smile. This dork was to adorable.
"Hey, it late for you to go back to the tower, do you want to stay over again?" Peter asked after he looked at the clock that sat on his desk.
"Sure. Though I will have to leave early to finish packing my stuff." I said and Peter nodded his head.
"I still have school and I can't miss another day. I got caught skipping class." Peter said not looking in my direction.
I let out a snort. "Well Mr Parker, you should go to bed then." I said in a mocking voice.
He laughed and pulled me into a hug. "Thank you for coming over." He mumbled.
I hugged back and closed my eyes. "I'll do everything I can to get your suit back."
With that we both fell back on his bed. It didn't take long for the both of us to fall asleep.

The Last Orellen is a long, character-focused progression fantasy set in a vast universe about a boy's journey to become a powerful mage. Reviews are deeply appreciated. Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission. What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like... Clever and resourceful protagonists. Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline. Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
