...
Bellamy leaned back in his chair, taking a casual sip from his wine. He had his arm around Clarke, who was talking to Jackson about something or another. Jackson and Miller were sitting at the head of the table because, you know, it was their wedding.
Bellamy took a moment to survey his friends. Miller kept ducking his head and whispering things into Jackson's ear. Jackson was beaming, he was happier than Bellamy had ever seen him. They were holding hands, too.
He glanced at Clarke and smiled fondly. She was wearing a long strapless grey dress, with a white pearl necklace and black high heels. She'd brushed makeup on her skin this morning, which she almost never did.
The wedding had been very nice, Jackson and Miller had decided to have it at the beach, which Bellamy loved. The waves always calmed him. As Clarke leaned forward, his arm slid off her back. She was so wrapped up in her conversation she didn't even notice.
She also didn't notice when Bellamy stood and slipped out the door to the balcony, which had steps leading down to the beach. He took off his shoes and his suit jacket, leaving them hanging over the side of the railing on the balcony. He walked along the edge of the water, leaving watery footprints in his wake.
When he finally found a log to sit on, the sun was setting. The sky was beautiful that night, like it knew that 2 of his best friends were getting married. And Miller and Jackson deserved it- they deserved every bit of their happy ending.
But he wasn't sure he did.
Bellamy dug his toes into the sand and squeezed his eyes shut. He took a moment to imagine her, when she was younger, maybe 12. A memory brushed the surface of his consciousness. She was sitting at the counter, doing her homework, before chucking it at him and crossing her arms. "I can't do this!" Octavia told him. "It's too hard."

Bellamy picked up the paper and read it, frowning. "What was the name of the 3-headed dog that guarded the underworld?" He asked, reading the question out loud to her. "C'mon, O! You know this one."
"Cerberus." She told him, rolling her eyes. "I know that one."
He smiled at her, standing up to pat her head. He tossed her homework back and she caught it. "I'll help you, how's that? Then I'll make pancakes. Hurry though- school starts in an hour."
Octavia nodded, chewing on her pencil and already turning back to her homework. Bellamy smiled at his sisters back. She was going to grow up to be such a smart woman, he thought to himself.
A voice snapped him out of the memory. "Bellamy?" Clarke asked gently, sitting down on the log next him. "You okay?" She must have seen him leave after all.
He nodded, clenching his fists and staring off into the sunset. "Sorry," he whispered. "I was just thinking about Octavia again."
"Hey, there's nothing to apologize about, okay?" she told him as she put her head on his shoulder and intertwined their hands.
They sat in silence for a while, just staring at the sunset. "I'm going to paint this sunset when we get home." Clarke told him.
"Mm." he replied, caressing the back of her hand with his thumb.
Clarke bit her lip, turning to face him and grabbing both of his wrists. "Bellamy, listen, I..." she inhaled. "I used to hate you, you know that? Octavia and I- we were close, but you 2 were always closer. I think I was a bit jealous of the relationship you guys had. But then... we started to grow closer. I think... I think I always had a bit of a crush on you, but you were such a jerk at first I just ignored it. When Octavia died, you changed. You weren't the guy who teased me and taunted me. You sobered up. I thought that all I would ever want was to get the old you back, and I kind of have, in a way. We still joke and tease. But it's different, too, because you've got this new dark side that I'd never seen before. When you slit your own wrists, Raven and I were so worried. Because no matter how many times you say it... I'll never quite believe that you just weren't thinking straight."

Clarke closed her eyes. "Which is why I think..." Bellamy braced for the words, those hideous words that would mean he and Clarke were over. His body tensed, and suddenly it was a fight to breathe.
"Wait!" He said, before she could say anything. "Just... wait. Before you say anything, I just want to apologize for everything I've done. I really wasn't thinking straight, if I could go back in time I would've stopped myself." Bellamy swallowed, tears glistening in his eyes. "And I beg of you- please, please, don't let what we have be over just because of what I did."
Clarke blinked, dropping his wrists. And then, much to his surprise, she started to laugh. He stared at her in silent confusion and she laughed and laughed and laughed. "What?" he asked, a bit wounded. "Did I say something wrong?"
She shook her head, still shaking a bit from her giggles. "S- sorry. Oh god, I'm sorry. This is terrible, I shouldn't be laughing." He waited until she had regained control. "Bellamy, I wasn't going to break up with you."
Now it was his turn to blink.
"I was going to suggest we get married."
"What the fuck?" were his first words. Then, automatically: "We've been dating for like 2 and a half months, Princess. Isn't this a bit soon..?"
Clarke shook her head hastily. "Not right now, just soon. Maybe next year." She shrugged, like this was nothing, like she hadn't just fucking proposed to him.
"Okay." he said after a moment.
"Okay?" Clarke confirmed, beaming at him.
"Okay." he repeated, standing up and lifting her up into the air. She put her arms out to the sides and he twirled her around, before setting her on the ground and kissing her lips gently.
Bellamy pulled away, wrapping his arm around her bare shoulder. "I guess we're getting married then."
"I guess we are." Clarke responded, and they stared once more at the sunset. The waves lapped at the shore, which made the scene all that more beautiful.
But the most beautiful thing there was by far Clarke Griffin, who shone as bright as a firework in the ever darkening sky.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: End of the Five, Twenty-three, and Twenty-nine Years Story
Alternate titles: - Five, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Nine Years - 5, 23, 29 "Dad? I think I got a really bad fever, why do I still feel fine?" "It feels cold..." Five years ago, Owen became a Court Wizard in search of his father who was lost to the unknown three years prior. But that wasn't the beginning of the story. Maybe it began twenty-three years ago when Ronald Bell and Joshua Ruze saved the Illyer family. Or perhaps, it all started twenty-nine years ago, when Ronald, the son of the wealthiest merchant, became a Court Wizard. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, for the story five, twenty-three, and twenty-nine years ago shall now meet its end. 2nd book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Read Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia first. This story is split into two 'Collections,' Ronald's Collection and Owen's Collection, each centering around those Court Wizards. Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.
