《Vikings, Mini Drabbles》Hvitserk: The married life

As you gazed out of the window you tried to remember the things in your life that didn't changed. Sad as it sounded, it wasn't much. You weren't that farmers daughter anymore, your dress was more than just a rag. In a way life got better for you and your family but still you missed doing the things you did before getting married. The rush had felt so good but now things settled down you hoped he would settle down to ... but he didn't.
Your eyes fell on Hvitserk, walking a muddy path over to the house you now shared, holding something wrapped up under his arm. You couldn't leave the short sigh, knowing it would be another one of his gifs, another one of his invitations. He was by far the best husband you saw walking around, but he was pussy ... in the good way. He was overloading you with gifts, surprises, his love. And how much you loved all of that, it was suffocating. He pushed your life in a way he thought you would love it, but it didn't. You pushed up a smile as he walked in, greeting you with a kiss you so much loved. 'I brought you something for tonight.' He announced. Your eyes lowered to the dress he unfold. 'Tonight?' You asked, rather then admiring the colors of the dress. 'Dinner with the family, Ubbe will be there to.' He sounded so cheery that he didn't even noticed your silence. You took in a breath, preparing yourself to see his disappointment. 'I'm not sure if,' 'My mother is preparing,' 'I don't want to go!' You shouted it out, startling hem there right on the spot. His eyes widened as he looked to the frustration you all of the sudden showed. 'I'm sick of it,' you blurted out, pointing around. 'you always giving me gifs, inviting me to things. It's suffocating, I don't feel like myself anymore Hvitserk.' You said. The way he looked back broke your heart right in two. 'I didn't saw my sister and parents for over a week, I don't even have time to do some normal things, everybody is doing it for me.' You signed dramatically, rubbing your forehead in the proces. 'I'm sorry.'

'I fucked up.' He muttered. Now it was your turn to widen your eyes a little as you stepped over to him. 'Hvitserk no,' You started while shaking your head. You laid the dress away and grabbed his hands. 'You are amazing, you are the most amazing thing that happened to me. But you have to let me breath sometimes.' You tried to explain. His look saddened and you pushed up a tender smile. 'What is wrong with a day just the two of us? Or that I can work on the farm and come back with something delicious to prepare?' You suggested. His look got a little puzzling as he tried to understand what you just said. 'I thought you wanted this.' He guessed. You squeezed his hands and smiled tenderly. 'Yes, but not in that speed, we got so much time ahead, why rush it?' You saw his jaws relax a little and your smile grew a little more. 'So I can't spoil you anymore?' He asked, that charming crook in the corner of his lips. You giggled, wrapping your arms around his ribs so you stood against him. 'You can.' 'Just not in that speed.' He guessed. 'You already spoil me every day by laying aside me when I wake up.' Now the charming smile broke the concern in his expressions as he wrapped his arms around you. 'Why you didn't told me earlier?' He asked curious. 'Because you seemed so happy.' 'Still am.' He winked. You pressed your face in his neck, enjoying the little warmth he was giving. 'So we won't go to that dinner tonight?' 'No.' 'What you want to do then?' He asked curious. You pulled back and shrugged, studying his expressions. 'A lot we can do with just the two of us.' You suggested. His eyebrows lifted and he smiled. 'When you want to start all of that?' 'When you are free.' You shrugged again. 'I'm free now.' He grabbed you fast around your waist and carried you over his shoulder away. 'No Hvitserk.' You started laughing. It was the first time since you married him you felt that young love for him again. No obligations, nothing, just you and him.

I may not be good at this and there could be a lot of grammar problems, but please bare with me as I stride along the path of an author! Please be warned about my novel. The first chapters are the crystallization of my first ever attempts at writing, I believe the story flow gets better as the chapters progress.
