《BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER || RM》10

As I laid in bed that night I couldn't shake the weird feeling in my stomach as I thought about what Leah had said.
Y/n had just met this guy and yet they were all buddy buddy? She even hung out with him alone. I didn't even want to think about what may have happened.
I groaned as I rolled over in my bed, feeling slightly irritated.
Since the other day after what y/n had said to me I couldn't seem to think straight. I had come to terms that my relationship with y/n was changing but I wasn't even sure how.
All I knew was the thought of her alone with some guy she had just met didn't sit right with me. It made me angry if I was being honest.
Knowing there wasn't anything else I could do at this moment, I forced myself to go to sleep. If I wasn't awake I didn't have to feel and that was a great thing.

"Namjoon over here!" I hear my friends call as I enter the gymnasium. I wave before making my way over to them, stopping as I saw Brittany was standing around with them.
"Hey Joonie." Brittany said instantly as she latched onto my side, completely forgetting about everyone else.
I nodded, not really caring to actually say anything back. Despite how I acted with the guys around, I didn't like Brittany.
She was shallow and an airhead. She didn't have a single ounce of depth to her and quite frankly, that repulsed me.
From the corner of my eye, I saw y/n walk past us. "Watch out, wouldn't wanna get hit by anymore balls."
I looked over at Brittany shocked, ready to say something, when to my surprise, y/n did.
"Fuck you, Brittany. Stop being such a bitch for no reason." Y/n spits, I'm guessing having been pushed over the edge.

"Or what?" Brittany asks, getting up in y/n's face. Before it could even begin to escalate further then that, the gym teacher stepped in between them.
"Okay ladies, that's enough." He says, pushing their shoulders backwards so they'd move. "Bitch." Brittany says before she walks away.
I look over at y/n who for a split second looks at me with a face of disgust. "Might want to chase after her. I'm sure she'd love that." Y/n says with the most hateful voice I had ever heard.
I stood there shocked as y/n stormed away and right out of the gym. From behind me I could hear the guys laughing, talking about how they wished they'd have seen a girl fight.
Feeling bad instantly, I rushed after y/n, wanting to apologize for not stepping in or saying anything at all.
As I made it into the hallway I stopped right in my tracks as I saw Y/n standing with some guy. The kid was who I could only assume to be Hayden.
My fists clenched at my side as I bite the inside of my cheek. I wanted to say something but I refrained from doing so.
I knew saying something without thinking first would only end badly and I didn't need that right now. Especially not when all of the guys were in the gym and could come out after me at any time.
Biting my tongue I head back inside, now feeling even more angry then before.
——
"I hate her!" I hiss as I pace back and forth, steam practically coming out of my ears.
"She's definitely awful." Hayden agrees, having known all about how horrible Brittany was since forever.
"I just don't understand why she acts the way she does towards me. I don't even care about anything she does yet she's on my ass twenty-four seven." I say.

"She might just be jealous of you. Isn't that usually why girls tear other girls down?" Hayden asks and I look over at him, my brows furrowed.
"What reason would she have to be jealous of me? She's the most popular girl in school." I say in disbelief.
"Well you're really nice and pretty. That's probably why." Hayden says, not making eye contact with me. My face feels hot at his words. I wasn't sure what I had expected him to say but it definitely wasn't that.
"Thanks..." I say and he mumbles a quick "You're welcome." I could tell he had gotten embarrassed by saying that so I don't continue on with that topic.
"I'm just so frustrated now. I don't even want to go back in there" I groan. "Then don't. We can skip class." Hayden says and I tilt my head to the side.
"You skip class? I never pegged you as the type." I say with a slight laugh. "I skip class. I do it all the time." He stampers and I laugh again. "Are you lying?"
Hayden cracks a smile as he nods. "I figured." I say as I step forward and link my arm with his.
"Well, let's do this"

Interface
Welcome to the World-City of Thousel, the sixth iteration of life on the planet. These are the recordings of the people of Thousel. Thousel is believed to be the second longest iteration of life, and the overall most prosperous compared to what we know about the past five iterations. Medicine and technology have all progressed abundantly, and the world itself has been turned into one great city, governed and managed by the Governmental-Company Alliance, or the GCA.These particular recordings concern the discovery of a peculiar machine. When two very different people find themselves bound by the fate of one mysterious bot, life in the World-City begins to change… Interface is a cyberpunk webnovel set in an ecumenopolis world where people evolved with electro-sensory abilities. These senses shape the face of modern technology and life in a world where the three largest corporations run what has effectively become the government. Each of these three companies control various aspects of life in the city, and they all constantly vie for domain and power over one another. The world stands at the precipice of biological, technological, and historical breakthrough. After decades of study into microbiology, archaeology, and geology, it has been discovered that sentient life has lived on the planet multiple times over. These past peoples are referred to as the “prior iterations of life,” and it is believed that five great civilizations were constructed before the rise of the modern world. No one can be sure for certain what caused these peoples’ extinction long ago, and the theories range from simply dying off over time to massive tectonic fractures in the face of the planet. Advanced technology, far more complicated than anything the people possess today, has been uncovered in multiple locations. This has lead scholars to speculate on exactly how long each iteration of life survived and how far they progressed as a society. None of the companies have been able to find a way to make this ancient technology work for their own profit. It is as though they are each missing the final key needed to unlock these centuries old secrets. What could this knowledge reveal about the nature of life across every iteration? What power could it give to the one who wields it?Far from the investigation into the origin of life, two kids unlock a new mystery – one that ties their fates to the discovery of an old, mysterious robot. Suddenly, eyes begin to turn towards them as life in the city of Thousel changes wherever they go…

"Well, well, well. Who do we got here?" An annoying voice mocked me.I clenched my teeth and faced him with a glare, while his eyes raked my whole body. Again. He stopped in my thighs, his eyes widening a little.I couldn't help but pity myself. Surely he's never seen legs like mine, with his sex crimes he's probably used to seeing long, thin, sexy legs, while mine are short, strong, but stubby. "What do you want?" I snarled. His eyes came back to mine, and he smirked."Chill ThunderThighs."I gave him a mean look, is he seriously insulting me right now ? ☆☆☆☆ Disclaimer:I'm still editing the first few chapters but i promise you it gets better:)
