Thomas pov.
We went to the cafeteria and ate breakfast, I met up with mom introduce her to Don's family and it was a blast I haven't fun in a long time but it ended when mom had to return to her duty. After breakfast, Don and his family were going there to their room I was going to leave but they convince me to come along especially Tammy who wants me around, so we arrive at their suite and it's pretty decent good size for a family.
Andy: *runs to the window* Woah!
Dod: You like it?
Andy: It's amazing!
Tammy: You must be seen the refugee camps we've been to for the last six months, We live in tents with twenty people and Chemical toilets.
Andy: The whole tent smell like pee.
Me: Well I never experience that.
Tammy: Lucky you.
Andy: Where have you been then?
As the kids look around the apartment finding food and other substance, Tammy notice boxes full cloths, then thier father mention something that got thier attention.
Don: This only temporary, before they move us to a new house.
Tammy: A new House?
Don: Listen. We won't be going back to our house, it beyond the safe zone and besides I wouldn't want to go back there.
Andy: Are you going to tell us about mom.
Don: Right..... can you guys sit down.
Me: I should go guys and let you-
Don: No you don't have to go besides you also were here too?
Tammy: What do you mean?
Me: Please don't?
Don: Thoams, you can't keep it in you it's not healthy.
I don't want to even remember those events it's too terrifying and painful, but I know he alright. I sigh to myself and sit down on the couch while he tells us the story.

Third pov.
Don: Your mom and I were hiding a house, there were five others there and we just trying to stay alive and that's when they attack. They break into the kitchen window, it happens really fast. We split and we were trapped in the upstairs bedroom and they attack her... biting.
The three were listening to his story, his two kids were emotionally saddened about thier parent died, Tammy tears coming down her cheeks and Andy have a blank face, but Thomas knew that parts of his story were a lie. they continue to listen to his story, as he tells them how he escapes and tries to go back for his wife but he says she was gone and made it to the military camp.
Don: And you know the story, I was stuck in quarantine and I've been helping the reconstruction effort. Waiting for my children to come back home.
It was quiet after he finishes, Don starts to cry as he had to retell the emotional event, as Don's kids were in the same emotional state, Thomas tries to keep it together as a tear comes down his cheek.
Tammy: We're just glad you were okay.
Don: Yeah, but I'm not only that a survivor.
Andy: Who?
Don looks at Thomas and soon his kids follow thier father's gaze and they were surprised to see that Thomas was the survivor.
Andy: You were-
Thomas: Y-yes, Uh. I was born here but move to America and became an American( I know it takes a long time to become a citizen) My father was British and you know my mother, they were divorced but stay in contact with each other. A month before the outbreak, I came here to spend time with my father, and then I found out that he was getting married.

Don: Well that's good.
Thomas: Yeah but I thought mom would get back together but it looks like not going to happen. A month later I was tending the Wedding and then the Infected attacked. My father, stepfamily, and I made out and we try to leave but the airports were closed, We went to the countryside and a farmer took us in there were three other people.
Thomas paused for a moment taken in everything remembering the events as tears were threatening to come out of his eyes, Dod can feel his pain as he two went through the same thing. Andy has the same blank face and Tammy could feel herself crying and she wants to hug him Thomas tells the events of his step-family left them, the infected attack them and he was the only one who escaped the farm, then tells the events of how he met Selena, Jim, Frank, and Hannah, the British Soldiers.
Thomas: 28 days later we were rescued by American forces and quarantine, and a few weeks later I return to the US. You know I was told that we were the last ones to leave Britain and only Fifty people were able to escape.
Thomas ended the story and he wanted to cry but tries to keep it together as he looks down, then he feels something pressure around my arm as he looks up he sees Tammy hugging him.
Tammy: It's okay... It's okay.......
Thomas couldn't hold his emotions anymore as he starts crying, after everything he been through he had to be strong during Survival this is the first time he ever cries in a long time.
Scarlet pov.
After that whole meeting with my superiors, they don't understand what we are dealing with here not to mention what I found.
*Flashback*
I was explaining to my superiors that the growing number of civilians we have here, could be a problem, the children could be at risk of some new diseases and we don't understand fully this thing.
Medical Officer: We know that the virus did not manage to cross-species?
Me: No it didn't.
Medical Officer: It did not become air born?
Me: No.
Medical Officer: We know that the last infected died about six months ago.
Me: We weren't here six months ago.
Stone: Major?
Stone: What are you afraid of?
Me: What if comes back-
Stone: It won't come back.
Me: What if it does?
Stone: If comes back We'll kill it. Code Red.
As the stone was about to leave but I need to ask him about the subject.
Me: Stone what about the subject's blood?
He stops where he's at and I could hear other officers talking to each I know what they are thinking.
Stone: You do not know if it's true.
Me: I scan the blood forty times and it comes back with the same results, what if it's true.
Stone: I again WE don't have any proof I won't risk.
Me: But-
Stone: That's enough and THAT FINAL! NO MORE OF THIS DISCUSSION YOU ARE DISMISSED MAJOR!
*Flashback End*
Me: *sigh* Why no one listens to me?
I pinch the bridge of my nose out of frustration sighing to myself, I got up walk to one of the cooling boxes open it grabbing one of the blood tubes, looking at it.
Me: *sigh* I hope this is right.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
