"You know, they are really wrong about vampires. All wrong. We don't sparkle. Do I sparkle?" I shoved a hand full of popcorn in my mouth and turned my head to Lydia as we were laying in my bed watching Twilight.
"You definitely don't sparkle," She laughed and dug her hand into the bowl of popcorn.
"They got the werewolf's all wrong too," she pointed out.
"Someone should have educated them," I extended my fangs and smiled at her.
She laughed and punched my arm. "Put those away."
"I can't remember the last time I used these. I mean, I can. It was just forever ago."
"Well, Beacon Hills doesn't need us anymore," she said.
"Yeah, I know. Scott and Stiles have been chasing dead ends trying to find something. They miss it."
"You miss it too?" She asked me.
I shrugged and looked down at the bowl of popcorn that was sitting on my lap. "I miss the adrenaline rush it gave me. Ya know, the thrill. But-"
I stopped myself from saying something I shouldn't. I still haven't told them that Damon and Stefan found a lady that could help me. Simply because I haven't heard from them since that phone call almost three months ago. It could just be another dead end.
"But what?" She cocked her head to the side, studying me.
"But nothing," I smiled at her and looked back at the TV.
My phone started to ring making us both jump. I handed her the bowl of popcorn as I moved the blankets around to find my phone. I heard it hit the ground so I leaned down to get it. But unfortunately it was too far and I ended up falling off the bed. As I layed on the floor I quickly grabbed it and answered without looking at the caller-ID.
"Hello?" I said in a pained voice, rubbing my head where I hit it on the ground.
"Brianna are you with Lydia?" It was Stiles. My heart raced at the sound of his voice. Him and I haven't really talked in weeks. We've both just been busy doing our own thing.
"Yeah she's at my house. Is there something wrong?" I pushed up from the floor and leaned my back against my bed.
"Meet us at the station. Around back to impound." He hung up before I could say anything else.
"Who was that?" Lydia asked as I got up from the floor.
I flicked my lamp on and turned off the movie.
"Stiles. I don't know what's going on. C'mon, we've got to go to the station."
"Oh, not again..." Lydia mumbled.
***
Lydia closed her eyes and hovered her hand over the broken glass of the car. She sighed and then got into the car, placing her hands on the steering wheel.
Apparently, some kid's parent's were taken tonight. No idea what happened to them except something to do with a guy on a horse.
"Hmm," she hummed.
"What?!" Stiles shot up out of the back seat.
"This is a perfect shade for me. Forget the name," She fixed her lipstick in the rear-view mirror.
"Can we please stay on topic here?" Stiles asked her annoyed.
I was no help here so I was just leaning on the hood, listening to them and watching Scott walk around the car over and over again.
"I'm not getting anything," Lydia replied with the same amount of annoyance in her voice.

A coyote howls in the distance, and then we can see her leaping over a pile of tires. It's obviously Malia. She barks as she runs toward us. Lydia and Stiles get out of the car.
She stops running and shifts back into her human self. Her naked human self.
I grab her clothes from my backpack and hand them to her.
"I don't think they're dead," Lydia says.
"They're dead. Probably torn apart," Malia says with a shrug as she puts her clothes back on. "The only thing I don't get is why there's no blood."
"They're not dead. If they were dead, I'd sense it," Lydia remarks.
"If they were alive, I'd smell it."
"Yeah, I'm not getting anything either," Scott agrees.
"Scott, what are you talking about?" Stiles asks him. "You were in his head for four minutes. I timed it."
Scott squinted his eyes and said, "Well, it's not an exact science. And he's a kid. Maybe he's too freaked out to remember."
"Why does it matter if they're dead? Dead is dead," Malia asked while she placed her hand on my shoulder for support while putting her shoes on.
"Okay, if it's just a robbery, we can't help them," I said.
"And if it's something supernatural, my dad can't help them," Stiles said.
"It sounds like you want it to be supernatural," Lydia says.
I give Lydia a look and her eyes widen. Our conversation from earlier clicks in her head on when I said that they miss it.
Stiles wants it to be supernatural.
"It's been, like, three months since anything's happened," Stiles says.
"Yeah, and once a week you drag me out of bed like I'm some supernatural metal detector," Lydia said with anger in her voice.
"Okay, it's way more often than that. Y-You can't tell me that you think this is just some series of impossible coincidences?" Stiles waved his hands around as he spoke. Like he usually does when he's trying to make a point or when he's frustrated.
"What I'm saying is maybe that wouldn't be so bad," Lydia turned around and started walking away. Malia and I looked at each other before following after her.
"Go easy on him," I said quietly to her.
She stopped and gave me a look that said 'Really?'.
"Brianna, aren't you tired of getting dragged out of your house only to find something that is nothing?" Lydia began walking again.
"Of course she's not tired. She get's to see Stiles," Malia says with an eye roll.
I began to speak but Lydia interrupted me. "I thought you were over him?"
"I am!"
Lydia and Malia looked at each other, then at me, shaking their head.

"In 3, 2, -" I sat up straighter and smiled for the picture but Stiles just jumped in right when the camera clicked.
"Stiles," I said annoyed.
He looked at Sydney behind the camera and said, "My bad, sorry, go ahead, look pretty."
I looked at Sydney and she nodded, I fixed my hair and smiled.
"One sec.." Stiles jumped in once again right when the camera clicked.
I looked at the screen that was aimed at me so I could see the picture.
"That was a good one," I groaned.
Stiles apologized and once again, I looked at the camera and smiled. But guess what? He steps up once more.
This picture was me giving him annoyed look.
This happened two more times. The line of students just got longer and they got more angrier, as did I.

"Stiles!" I yelled.
"You're still in the photo," Sydney told him.
"Dude come on," I heard someone groan.
"Sorry," he said.
"You ruined it," I grunted out and got off the stool. I grabbed him by the arm and pushed him over to the table Malia, Scott, and Lydia were sitting at.
"Why would I want to ruin your yearbook photo?" Stiles asked.
"Maybe because you haven't signed up for your own photo yet?" The tone of my voice was like a question but I, and everyone else here, already knew why.
"Yes, I did," Stiles started to dig through the pocket before he pulled out a piece of paper and held it up to me.
"It's blank," I rolled my eyes.
Stiles turned the paper back to himself. "Uh..."
"Or maybe you're sublimating the stress of graduating by avoiding key milestones," Scott said. I raised my eyebrow at how he knew that.
"Psyche paper," he pointed his pen down to the paper in front of him.
"Oh," I nodded.
"Hey, the deputy searched the car. No slugs, no exit hole. And the address Alex gave my dad, it's an abandoned house," Stiles began but none of us were going for it. "Come on! Missing parents, suspicious guy on horseback, magic bullet. Who's comin' with?"
"I've got to retake my photo's," I sent him a glare.
"I still have to take mine," Malia said.
"Want to go together?" I asked her.
"Sure," she smiled at me.
Stiles looked at Lydia and Scott.
Lydia shook her head, "Yeah, not interested."
"I cannot miss any more classes," Scott said.
"Scott," Stiles started.
"I missed 38 last semester. And Lydia's mom is the only reason I'm still in school," Scott told him.
"I missed 26," I said, though it wasn't important.
"I can go after school," Scott said.
"You know what? Forget it. I'll take Liam," Stiles sighed and looked across the campus. We all looked in the same direction and saw Liam and Hayden just sitting on a bench making out.
"Yeah, I'm not taking Liam."
"Hey guys, can I get a candid?" Sydney asked as she walked up to us.
"Uh, no," Stiles said.
"Yeah, sure," Scott pulled him down beside him and I sat beside Lydia and in front of Malia.
"Okay, fine. If you explain to me-" Stiles paused as he pulled something out from his pocket. "-why this is blue, I'll let it go."
"Everyone smile," Sydney placed her camera up to her face. We all obeyed, and the camera clicked. "Perfect."

Meet Scott and I outside. We're getting to the bottom of this.
I read Stiles's text as I walked to class. And here I thought Scott didn't want to miss anymore class.
Just kidding. Got caught.
Was was the next text sent. I rolled my eyes and took a seat beside Lydia in class. After a few minutes, Mrs. Martin dragged Scott and Stiles into class.
This was our last class. If they could just wait an hour and a half, they could go do... whatever they were going to do.
The teacher didn't even teach anything today. He just turned the lights off and put in some boring video. Which I feel asleep through 10 minutes in.
The bell didn't even wake me up when it was 3:30. I woke up by Lydia shaking me.
"Huh, I'm up!" My head shot up and I wiped the drool from my lip.
"School's over," Lydia told me.
I looked around and saw it was just her and I in the classroom. I shrugged and picked up my backpack from the floor.
Her and I went to the door but I stopped when she stopped.
"Lydia? You okay?"
She ignored me, turning around to the TV. She was staring at it for a long time. I clicked the off button on the front and she snapped out of her trance.
"You good?"
She looked at me, then to the TV and nodded.
***
"Wait Scott, slow down," I placed one finger in my ear as I tried to focus on what Scott was saying through the phone.
"Everything was gone, the furniture, everything. They weren't even in pictures. The guys on horses, the one I saw in Alex's memory, they erased his parent's. Just erased from existence. You need to get to the station, see if Alex is there. All his stuff in his bedroom is gone and I think they got him."
"H-How do we know this is real? What if this kid is just sick?" I quickly got into my car and headed toward the station.
"It's real I saw them in his memories and Stiles saw one at the house-"
"Wait, Stiles saw one?"
"Yeah he was shooting at him. But he's okay, don't worry."
"I'm not worrying. I didn't even ask..." My voice trailed off as I turned into the parking lot and parked my car.
"Hey, i'm here. What do you want me to do?" I opened the door and waved at Hayden's sister who was sitting at her desk.
"Hey, Brianna. What can I do for you?" She asked me.
"Just see if he's still there and text me later," Scott said and hung up.
"Uh, I was just checking in on Alex. See how he's doing."
"Yeah, he's right back here. Follow me." She got up from her desk and we started walking toward the back of the station, where the cell's are.
"Did you lock him up?" I asked her. I was quite shocked. He's not a bad kid and he hasn't done any trouble. They shouldn't put him behind bars.
"He actually wanted to be back here. We've called social services. They should be here any time soon," she explained to me.
We finally got to the cell where he was. A young boy was sitting on the bench inside with his head in his hands. I haven't met him yet and I was shocked to see how young he was. I thought he would be maybe 15 but he looked 12.
Clark got out her card to unlock the door. He must have heard us because his head shot up and he ran for the door.
"No, please!" He pleaded. "Don't open the door."
"It's okay, Clark. I can talk to him from here."
She nodded and started to walk back to the front. "Just call for me if you need anything."
I thanked her and waited till she was completely gone before I started talking to the kid.
"Alex, right?"
"Who are you?" He started to back up to the bench he was sitting on previously.
"My name's Brianna. I'm a friend of Scott and Stiles. They sent me here to check on you. How-"
He interrupted me, "They're coming for me. I'm next."
"We're not gonna let that happen. We are gonna figure this out." I was interrupted for a second time, only it was my phone ringing.
"Hey, Lydia. What's up?" I walked away from Alex so I could talk to her.
"It's called The Wild Hunt. It's a myth. Only, apparently it's real," Lydia explained through the phone.
My eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "I've heard of that. Where have I heard of that?"
"The guy on the horse, they call them Ghost Riders. They take people. It's what they do. They run around collecting souls," she explained. "And once they take you, you're gone. Everything about you.
I looked down at the ground trying to piece it together, when it finally hit me.
"You know there's a legend for a storm like this," Mr. Yukimura began.
"Dad," Kira moaned. "Please don't turn a three-hour traffic jam into an educational experience."
"He's talking about The Wild Hunt," her mom said.
"About the Ghost Riders. Imagine a night like this, girls. In storm clouds just like these, phantom hunters would appear. Riding black horses with blood-red eyes. And wolves and hounds at their side, baying and snarling."
"What were they hunting?" I asked with curiosity.
"Souls."
"Brianna? Are you there?"
"Yeah, I'm here. I figured it out. Mr. Yukimura told me about it right before school started."
"Okay," she paused and I could hear movement on the other side of the line. "Meet me at the school. In our History classroom." She hung up before I could say anything else. I guess I'm going to school.
***
"She called you here too?" Malia asked me as we met up with each other in the hallway, walking in the same direction Lydia told me to.
"Yeah, do you know why?" I asked her.
Malia shrugged and pushed opened the door of the classroom. Lydia was sitting in the back of the classroom, a distant look on her face.
"Oh gosh, that kind of help," Malia groaned. I followed her as we sat beside Lydia.
"Something terrible is going to happen," Lydia said quietly.
"Okay," Malia sighed and sat on top of a desk, while I sat in the seat. "What is it?"
"I don't know. That's why I need help from both of you," she looked at Malia and I.
"When did you first have the premonition?" I asked her.
"I was with, um, I can't remember but we realized it was the Wild Hunt. The riders, the horses," She turned her laptop around to show Malia and I. "Souls getting swept up."
Malia leaned down to read what she had pulled up, "Those who see the Wild Hunt beware, for you are already lost. "
"Horses. He saw them." It felt like my heart just dropped to my stomach.
"It's real I saw them in his memories and Stiles saw one at the house-"
"Wait, Stiles saw one?"
"Yeah he was shooting at him. But he's okay, don't worry."
I shot up out of my seat. "He saw the Wild Hunt! Where's Stiles?!"
Malia and Lydia shared a confused look to each other.
"Who's Stiles?" Malia asked me.
"No," I whispered. "I have to find him."
"Brianna, are you okay?" Lydia asked me.
"No! I'm not okay! Stiles is next. Y-You guys don't even remember him. It's already happening. I have to find him."
I ran towards the door and kept running till I was outside. I ran all around the school till I came to the parking lot. I stopped and looked around. I heard the doors burst open and I see him run out.
"Stiles!" I yell and run toward him.
"Brianna? You know me?" He placed his hands on my shoulder so i don't run into him. "Oh thank God. You know me."
"I know you," I nod. "But I think everybody else is forgetting."
I can see the sadness in his eyes. But it quickly turns to fear as he looks behind me. I look around confused as the wind starts to pick up.
"Hey, do you see him?" He points behind me.
I look over my shoulder but don't see anything. We're the only one's out here.
"See what?"
He points beside a tree and says, "The guy on the horse."
"Stiles, if you can see them, they're gonna..."
He grabs my face in his hands. "No, I know, I know. Okay. They're coming for me. So you have to get away from me right now, okay?"
I shook my head. "I'm not leaving you!"
He looks back and forth from me and where the Ghost Rider is supposed to me. He wraps an arm around my shoulder and begins to drag me away.
"All right, come on, come on!" He take hold of my hand as we run away from the Rider.
"This way, this way!" he pulls me around a corner and I can see his jeep parked far a head of us.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" He skids to a stop, making me run into his shoulder.
He turns back around and we run in another direction.
"Where are they?!" I yell as we stop again.
"They're everywhere."
This time I take matters into my own hands. I grab onto him tightly and use my fast speed over to his jeep. He was shocked at my actions but we still quickly climbed in.
"Don't look at them! Don't do anything, they'll try to take you too!" He yelled at me, trying to get his keys from his pocket.
"I won't!"
He frantically tried to get his keys into the ignition. Once he got them in, he stopped and looked up.
"What are you doing? We need to go!" I pleaded.
He took the key out slowly and said, "There's no time."
He turned to me and I leaned closer to him.
"Brianna, I am going to be erased, okay?" My lip trembled and I shook my head, tears forming in my eyes. "Just like Alex. You're going to forget me."
"I won't," I sobbed shaking my head. "No, I won't. I won't."
"Brianna, you will," he nodded. "Just try to find someway to remember me, okay?"
He smiled and wiped a tear from my cheek. "Remember how I was your first kiss? Remember how you were my first real girlfriend? Remember how you saved my life?"
"You saved my life too." Tears streamed down my face. I leaned my head onto his and closed my eyes.
