《Complete // Stiles Stilinski [3]》13

Scott and Stiles left that night to go find Kira. They got information from her dad about where Kira and her mom would be.
I took it upon myself to go talk to Malia. I explained to her everything that was going on and that we needed her back. She said she didn't want my help. She wanted to find her mom on her own and she didn't want to drag me down with her.
I explained to her that I will always be on her side. If she wanted to kill her mom, I would be there. I know Scott and Stiles will hate it if I help her since I already have so much blood on my hands but I can't help but feel like Malia and I are the same person. And I didn't have help to kill the person who killed my family. Well, I did. But I wish I didn't get that help.
Malia told me that Braeden and her found a guy that helped her track her mom down. Apparently, the Desert Wolf also has Dr. Deaton. Which is not good.
Malia said that she would find them on her own, but come to me if I needed her help. So I went to school and pretended to be a normal teenager. In between classes I would call Scott to get an update on how they were doing. It wasn't till the next morning that they found Kira and her mom.
I stand here in the Hospital with Scott, Kira, and Stiles. I watched in horror as nurses wheel in body after body on gurneys. I counted 1 by 1. A total of 23.
Sheriff Stilinski approached us with a sad look on his face. He stood beside me with his arms crossed over his chest as they brought in the very last one.
"Who found them?" Stiles asked him.
"Argent. And he said the Doctors were down there. He also said you guys might know what this thing is," Sheriff replied.
"We're got a theory," Scott said.
"It's a slightly terrifying theory," I said staring at the ground.
"Well, the ME said that the victims were killed somewhere else and then dumped in those tunnels," Sheriff explained.
"Hey, what if the Dread Doctors are hiding the bodies," Scott thought aloud.
"Why would they do that?" Kira spoke up.
"Maybe they're covering for it. Protecting it like a parent would," Stiles figured.
"Protecting what?" Sheriff asked.
"A werewolf," I said. "It's called the Beast."
Sheriff's face showed exactly what all of us were thinking.
"We know. Horrifying," Stiles commented.
"We better figure out what we're gonna call Parrish. Because it looks like his dream is coming true."
My eyes traveled down the hall to where Parrish was standing in the doorway. He was doing something with the clipboard in his hand. Most likely charting each body that gets rolled in.
My phone buzzed from my pocket. I pulled it out and saw I had a text from Lena. She wanted me to come home since it was getting dark.
"I have to go," I told my three friends. Scott gave me a nod.
I sent them a smile as I walked down the hallway. I pulled my keys out of my pocket but they got stuck on my pants so I accidentally dropped them behind me.
Before I could bend down and get them, Stiles had already picked them up for me.
"Thanks." I sent him a warm smile, which he returned, and took the keys from his hand.

"Listen-"
"Look-"
We both started to talk at the same time.
"You go first," He said kindly.
"I want to be with you, Stiles. I really do, but maybe this break up is what we need." I didn't want to say that but it just happened. I expected him to get mad or something but he just nodded slowly.
"We're just different. It could never work out in the long end," I said sadly. "I wanted to have hope but, I truly believe there is no cure for me a-and you'll die one day... And i'll still be 17. I want you to be happy and find a woman who can give you what I can't. I still want to be friends with you. But in the next 60 or 70 years I don't want to watch my husband leave while I'm still young."
"I understand." His voice cracks and it's barley above a whisper. He sends me a smile but I can see the pain in his face.
"I still love you, Stiles."
"I know." He took a step toward me and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead.
He didn't say it back... Why didn't he- My phone rang in my hand. I figured it was Lena, wondering why I didn't answer her text. But when I looked at the screen there was no caller-ID. I slid the answer button across the screen and held the phone up to my ear.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Brianna."
I already knew who it was the second they spoke.
"Stefan," I breathed out. "Where the hell have you been? Why haven't you answered my calls? I've been worried sick."
"Listen, I don't have much time. Damon and I might have found something- someone. A woman, she goes by Amelia Dubois. She's a Druid like the woman who created you. She lives in Europe and I think if we can find her, we can get her to reverse the curse," Stefan explained really fast.
I was shocked to say the least. I was frozen and no words were processing out of my mouth.
My friends, that were still standing at the end of the hallway, were watching me in confusion to why I was just standing here.
"I-I don't know what to say," I let out a nervous laugh. "Oh my gosh..."
"I know it's a lot to process at the moment. Look, we'll call you back once we find out more."
"Wait, don't hang up!" I said really fast. "How can I contact you?"
"We'll contact you, don't worry about us. Goodbye, Brianna."
"Bye, Stefan," I said sadly. The call ended and I slid my phone into my pocket.
I waved goodbye to Stiles, Scott, and Kira and finally left the hospital. I decided not to tell them just in case it was a dead end. I chose not to gain hope on this tiny probability with the high chance of it not working. I also didn't want my friends to know and getting their hopes down as well.

"By order of the Sheriff, a county-wide curfew goes into effect tonight after sundown. All after-school activities are cancelled until further notice. Students should go directly home after the end of the school day." The principle said through the PA system.
As I turned around the corner I saw two policemen carrying shotguns down the hallway. I stepped out of their way as they walked pass me. I then saw Scott and Stiles talking to another deputy down the hall so I made my way over to them.

"You don't think this is a bit much in terms of firepower for a high school?" I heard Stiles ask the guy as I stood beside Scott.
"Your dad's the one that issued us these things, and he wouldn't officially say why," the deputy said, adjusting the gun in his hands.
"Did he say anything unofficially?" Scott asked while fidgeting his bag on his back.
"No. But everyone's got a theory."
"And what's yours?" I asked him.
"I shouldn't be talking to you guys. Don't you have class?" He asked the three of us.
"Come on, Strauss. What's your theory?" Stiles pushed.
He looked down the hall at two other police men. Then turned back to us and took a step closer.
"Do you guys believe in the supernatural?" He asked in a hushed voice.
My eyes widened, as did Stiles and Scott and we all shared nervous between each other.
"Uh," I scratched the back of my neck, then looked at my wrist, which by the way, doesn't have a watch on it. "Oh, looky there. I do have to get to class."
"Yeah, us too," Stiles said and grabbed Scott and me by the arm and dragged us away from the deputy.
"I mean, as long as he doesn't actually see anything supernatural, we're good. Right?" I asked them.

So apparently Malia found the Desert Wolf. She actually found her. With the help of Theo, sadly. She called me after school was over and told me to meet her at the Animal Clinic.
"What's the problem?" I heard Malia ask someone once I opened the door to the animal clinic.
"Besides the fact that I've never seen this place beyond a few aerial photos and we're basically going in blind? Him." I recognized the voice to belong to Braeden.
I didn't see him till I walked through the doorway.
"Why the hell is he here?" I asked angrily. The three of them turned to me.
"Why is she here?" Theo asked while pointing to me, then looked back to Braeden who was pointing her gun at him. "Would you mind not pointing that thing at me?"
"He's coming with us," Malia told Braeden and I, then said to Theo, "We need her."
"He tried to kill Scott," I said gritting my teeth.
"Technically, I did kill Scott," Theo said with a smirk.
I lunged at him but Malia was quick to jump in front of me.
"I should kill you," I said to him over Malia's shoulder who was pushing me back.
"And how would you do that?"
"Oh I have many idea's," I smirked.
"Stop. Both of you," Malia said annoyed.
"I did what I had to do to survive," Theo looked me dead in the eyes. "You can relate to that, can't you?" His voice was taunting.
I clenched my jaw and looked away from him.
"The Dread Doctors wanted everybody dead. I convinced them that it could just be Scott."
Braeden turned to Malia and said, "You could still tell Scott."
Malia nodded, "When we have Deaton back."
"He's not going to blame you for the Desert Wolf taking him."
"But he might stop me from killing her," Malia argued. "Theo and Brianna won't."
"Actually, I'm planning to help," said Theo.
"Don't be so confident. She's known to carry pretty heavy firepower," Braeden explained.
I laughed, "I'd like to see her try and kill me."
"But, what do werecoyote need with guns?" Theo asked.
"There's a story. I don't know all the details, but something happened a long time ago. Somehow, she lost part of her power. She's not as fast or strong as she used to be. But she can still pull a trigger, and she's a perfect shot." I think Braeden was trying to scare us but it didn't work.
Malia glanced out the window behind her and said, "The sun's going down. We need to go. Are you coming or not?"
Braeden nodded and picked up her shotgun shells of the table.
"Let's go."
***
"No guards. No lights. The place looks completely abandoned," said Braeden.
"That should be easier for us, right?" Malia asked.
"Not necessarily. Especially is she knows we're coming. You're sure this is the place you saw?"
"Unless there's another Fort Jewett." Malia shook her head.
"Maybe she left," said Theo. "Maybe Deaton's already gone."
"I'm not walking away on a maybe," said Malia.
"And I'm not walking in on so much uncertainty."
"You said you've been after her for years," Malia replied to Braeden confused.
"And why do you think it's been years? Because she knows what she's doing. She took Scott's boss for a reason. We don't know what it is. We don't know if she's back in Beacon Hills because she's missed you all this time and can't wait for a mother-daughter reunion or if she's planning to put a bullet in your head. We don't know anything."
"We know one thing," Malia began. "We know where she is. I'm going in. I have to."
"You guys go in, I'm gonna scout the place out. If I hear anything, I'll be inside in seconds," I said to them.
"You sure? Maybe it's best if we all stick together," said Malia.
"No, I'm sure. Don't wait up." I used my vampire speed to run to the outskirts of the perimeter.
Not even five minutes of being out here I heard a gun shot go off inside. I immediately took off running to the entrance they went in. I wasn't sure where they were so I followed the sound of their heartbeats.
I heard Malia groaning in pain.
"Malia?" I called out, coming to the point where they were.
I got to the place, my eyes stopping on Deaton who was tied to a chair. I saw Braeden knocked out on the ground with a gash on her head. The next thing I didn't see coming was Theo shove a piece of wood through my stomach.
"Brianna!" Malia yelled.
I gripped one hand around the wood before falling onto my back.
"Sorry, Brianna. I didn't want to hurt you," Theo leaned down over my body, then broke the wood into my body to where I couldn't pull it out. Though I still couldn't move, and I was in a lot of pain, jokes on him cause it didn't hit my heart.
"It was me, wasn't it. You picked up a chemosignal," Theo said while approaching Malia. "Probably regret. Because I didn't really want to do this. But I didn't have a choice."
Theo slid the gun across the ground. A foot stepped on it so it wouldn't slide any further. Just looking at the woman who stopped it, I knew it was the Desert Wolf.
She looked at Theo and tossed a jar at him. He held them up and I didn't know what it was till they glowed blue. They were the talons of the chimera that attacked Scott before Senior Scribe.
What would Theo need with those?
Theo shook his head and said, "You should have listened to Braeden."
Theo took one last look down at me and Malia, then left the area.
The Desert Wolf stalked her way over to Malia and grabbed her by the throat.
"You don't have a name," she said. "Talia Hale took you away from me before I could give you one."
She used Braeden's gun and hit her across the face with it. Malia groaned and fell backwards.
"What you do have is power. Strength, speed, and the capacity to heal. You know where you got it from, Malia? You know where you stole it from? Me."
She got up and placed her foot on Malia's stomach where Theo shot her.
"Tell me when it hurts." She began to put pressure. "Tell me when it really hurts."
There was a cracking nose and Malia screamed out in pain. The Desert Wolf took her foot off and picked Malia's head up and got in her face. She extended her claws and reached them back.
"Corinne!" Deaton yelled. "You can't get it back like this. It has to be a full moon. You kill her now you get nothing.
Corinne ignored Deaton as she moved her claws closer. What stopped her was the light above Deaton exploding, and a loud scream echoing from nowhere. It kinda sounded like Lydia, but I don't know how that would be possible.
The Desert Wolf hissed and jumped away from Malia. Malia growled and kicked her backwards. She used the old Military jeep behind her to help her stand up.
She extended her fangs and claws and her eyes glowed blue as she growled at her mother. The Desert Wolf did the same as they began to fight.
I have to help.
I looked over to my right at Braeden. I gasped and sat up, hissing in pain as I felt the wood move around in my body. I turned around on my stomach and used my arms to pull me toward Braeden.
I looked at the mild gash on her head. It didn't look too serious but she'd probably have a concussion.
"I killed them because of you," I heard Malia say. "I killed my own family."
"Your adopted family. I'm your family, sweetheart," Corinne taunted.
I placed a hand on Braeden's shoulder and shook her body. "You have to wake up," I whispered to her.
Malia didn't like Corinne's response because she rawred and began to fight her once again.
"If it makes you feel any better, I wasn't trying to kill them. I was only trying to kill you."
There was a loud thud and tiles began to crack and break. Everyone looked in Deaton's direction as the wall behind him crumbled to pieces.
There was a loud growl as something punched a hole in the wall. My eyes widened when I saw the huge black beast standing in the hole. His eyes glowing blue.
The thing growled once again as it used its large hands to break away more of the wall. The thing reached out and grabbed the back of Deaton's chair.
"Malia..." He said in fear and panic.
She looked at him then back at the Desert Wolf. It was obvious she was using everything in her not to attack her again. Malia finally decided and ran towards Deaton and the Beast.
She reached out and broke the tape off his legs and arms. Right as the Beast was about to pull him in, Deaton jumped off and the Desert Wolf escaped.
With everything going on I didn't even see Braeden wake up.
"Come on!" Malia yelled. Malia scooped up Braeden and I to our feet. We all held onto each other for support as he ran the hell out of there.
The Beast rawred loudly behind us. We finally got outside of Fort Jewett and into my car I drove here. I tossed my keys to Malia, considering I was too hurt to drive.
I jumped in the back with Braeden as Deaton got in the front.
"Get us, the hell out of here," I said to Malia. She started the car and slammed onto the gas and drove fast. Thank goodness Malia got her license the other day.

"Get it out, get it out! It's moving closer to my heart!" I yelled frantically to Malia as she dug her hand in my chest to get every piece of wood. The wood had moved upward from my stomach when Theo broke it off into me. Now every time I move, it moves. She had gotten the biggest piece out, but there was one last fragment inside.
"I'm trying! There's a lot of blood, I can't see!" Malia yelled.
"Move, Malia," Deaton ordered.
Deaton opened up a bottle of something and brough it closer to my body.
"W-wait what is-" I screamed out in pain as he poured something on my stomach, then used a clean towel to soak up the blood.
"Use your claws, it will give you a better advantage to grip the smaller pieces," Deaton said to her.
Malia nodded and took out her claws.
"Wait-" I gasped out of breath. "Won't that hurt more."
"Do you want to live through a little pain or do you want to die?" Deaton dead-panned.
I closed my eyes and let my head fall against the metal table I was laying on in the Animal Clinic.
"Do it."
I felt someone grab onto my hand and I opened my eyes to find Braeden. She nodded at me and smiled.
I gripped onto her hand tightly and screamed once again when Malia stuck her hand back in.
I heard a ding signalling that someone had entered.
Malia stopped moving and placed a hand over my mouth to stop me from screaming. We all kind of froze.
Then Scott and Liam appeared into view.
They both looked at us in horror.
I felt a stabbing pain, and then Malia pulled her hand out.
"Got it!" She said happily.
