"Maybe I can get on top of your shoulders?" I joked.

"Kira. Get back inside the car please," Kira's mom said.

"Why do I just have to get inside the car?" Kira whispered to me.

"Well," I began while sliding down the back of the car. "They aren't my parents so they can't really tell me what to do. Though if they did, I would listen cause they let me stay with you in New York."

I held my hand out and helped Kira down, cause I'm a good friend. But I'm also a mean friend so when she reached for it, I swung it back down and almost made her fall off the car.

I thought it was hilarious but she did not seem impressed.

Kira rolled her eyes and looked down at the line of cars. I stood beside her and crossed my arms over my chest. The wind was blowing because of the storm so it was a little chilly.

This guy, who looked about our age, turned around and held up his phone. "I'm not getting anything either."

I simply gave him one of those 'white people' smiles. Ya know, that smile when you make an awkward eye contact with someone while walking in a store or down the street and you don't want to be rude so you like, flatten your lips and it's kind of a smile.

Kira got back in the car first and then I slid in right after her.

"We haven't moved in 15 minutes," she complained. "We're going to be late."

"What is this thing you're going to anyway?" Noshiko asked us.

"It's called Senior Scribe and we're kinda not aloud to tell you about it," I replied.

Her mom turned to her dad who simply laughed and shrugged his shoulders, "Don't look at me. I don't know anything either. Sounds like they're supposed to write something or..."

"It sounds like vandalism," Noshiko argued.

"It's not vandalism," Kira said, her voice getting higher cause she was lying. Hopefully her parents didn't notice. "At least, I don't think it is."

We sat in silence for a second before Kira sighed and reached for the car handle.

"That's it. I'm going," she said.

"Yeah, me too," I grabbed my phone and stuck it in my raincoat pocket.

"You're going to walk?" Her dad asked.

"Yep," we both said at the same time. And as if on instinct, thunder rumbled in the air and rain started pouring outside.

Kira closed the door and slid back in the seat saying, "In the few minutes."

"Have you talked to Scott?" I asked her.

"We talked once," she replied. "Stiles?"

"We talked yesterday but he doesn't think I'm coming home till after school starts. I'm gonna surprise him," I began to feel really excited about seeing him again, but also anxious. I don't know why.

"I talked to Malia before we boarded, she still hasn't found out if she'll be a senior with us. I hope she makes it. She's been working so hard for this."

"You know there's a legend for a storm like this," Mr. Yukimura began.

"Dad," Kira moaned. "Please don't turn a three-hour traffic jam into an educational experience."

"He's talking about The Wild Hunt," her mom said.

"About the Ghost Riders. Imagine a night like this, girls. In storm clouds just like these, phantom hunters would appear. Riding black horses with blood-red eyes. And wolves and hounds at their side, baying and snarling."

"What were they hunting?" I asked with curiosity.

"Souls."

The sound of a loud motor-cycle engine roared outside, catching everyone by surprise. Who would be stupid enough to ride around in the storm like this?

"Do you hear that?" Kira asked and then immediately jumped out of the car.

"Kira!" Her mom yelled.

Now I get it. Scott McCall. Scott would only be stupid and love-struck enough to ride around in a storm like this.

"Aw man. My hair is gonna get messed up," I groaned and pulled it into a pony tail, before pulling my rain-coat hood up over my head and tightening the elastic to where I looked like a legit egg.

I leaned up and looked out the front window to see them talking, and then kissing... and more kissing.

While they were kissing I got out of the car and ran up to them. I wait for a second before they finally pulled away, just staring at each other.

"Uh, yeah hi!" I yell awkwardly.

Scott jumped at the sound of my voice and smiled when he saw me. He let go of his grip on Kira and gave me a hug.

"Stiles said you wouldn't be back for a couple more days," he yelled over the loud pattering of rain.

"I lied!" I laughed and looked back at his motor-cycle. No way I can fit on that with them. Guess I will have to run.

"I can come back for you," Scott said nervously.

"Don't worry about me. I'll probably get there before you anyways." I sent him a wink before pushing off the ground and using my vampire speed to run to the school, getting there in minutes.

I didn't plan to do this, and if I thought about it earlier, I wouldn't be soaking wet right now.

I quickly ran under the black top and pulled off my hood. Very, very, shocked that my hair was still dry. I'm telling you, I tightened that sucker around my head almost to where it was choking me.

"You're here!" I heard a familiar girl voice yell behind me.

I turned around and saw Malia and Stiles walking towards me.

"I'm here!" I said excitedly and ran over to them.

I hugged Malia first and asked her if she knew anything about being a senior with us, which was a no.

"Oh, um... I'll meet you both inside," she said to Stiles and I.

The second she walked away I pounced on him like a tiger. He kissed me back and wrapped his arms around me. But I could already tell something was wrong.

I pulled away and stared deeply into his eyes, trying to figure out what was wrong.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked.

"What? Nothing's wrong. You're here," He smiled and rubbed his thumb against my cheek.

"Don't lie to me. Something's wrong, I sense it."

He sighed and dropped his hands down. "Yeah, it's called anxiety. You should be used to it by now when you're around me."

He turned his back around and stared at the students going in-and-out of the school.

"Why is this thing so important to you? When I said I wouldn't be able to make it, you were really mad."

"I wasn't mad. This thing isn't important." His tone was more of a question but I could tell he was hiding something from me.

"It's not. It's uhh..." he paused. "I don't know. Maybe it is."

He scratched the back of his neck then turned back around to me.

"Alright. I asked my dad the other day about his high school friends. Guess how many he still talks to? None. Not a single one. You know, these were his best friends and he just lost touch with them, you know. So I started thinking about things, like I always do--"

"Obsessively," I interrupted.

"Yeah. And so, i'm thinking, what if... What is Scott's my best friend now, but he's not my best friend for life?"

I took a step forward and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, "Well, that kind of just happens sometimes, right?"

"Yeah, but only because we let it happen! You know, that's what I'm saying. How come when we graduate we're just expected to go our separate ways?" He grabbed my hands into his and held them up to his chest and looked me straight in the eyes. "If I've already found the best people in my life why aren't I not trying to stay with them, you know?"

I nodded understandingly, "Well, I thought that was the plan. The dream!"

"T-the vision." He dropped our hands and pointed to me, "And don't mock the vision."

I placed both my on the back of his neck. "I like the vision. Especially if I'm part of it."

He smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him.

Realization hit me square in the face. "So that's why you wanted everyone here tonight. Because you don't want to lose all your friends after senior year."

"And I hope they don't want to lose me, either."

"Stiles. Do you see a future with me? Because that's all I see."

"You are my future," he responded and kissed me.

Just as always, our lips fit perfectly together. There was no one else I could ever picture myself with than Stiles. He's the one I want to kiss for the rest of my life. He's the one that has saved me constantly and I will always want him to save me, even if I don't need to be. He's the main reason I want to be human again. So we could have children and grow old, take care of our grand kids.

Wait a second...

I pulled out from the kiss and closed my eyes. Someone was running, really fast.

"Bri?" Stiles asked.

"Someone's coming. Someone fast," I turned around in a split second and pushed the person down hard.

"Oh, my gosh," said Stiles.

Liam groaned and closed his eyes while he tried to catch his breath.

"Ah! Liam, buddy! I am so sorry."

"Scott's in trouble," was all he said.

Are you serious? I get back and not even 4 hours later there is already madness.

***

Liam, Stiles, and I ran around the school like mad men trying to find Scott.

By the time we found him, Kira and some other guy on the ground, this very large werewolf had Scott down on his knee's with his chest.

Liam and I both transformed and growled at the man. I was 2-seconds away from going and ripping the guy's heart out before Scott grabbed onto the mans arm and completely broke it, his huge claws bouncing onto the ground at their feet.

"I don't know who you are or what you thought you were going to do, but I'll give you a choice. You can stay, and I'll break something else. Or you can run."

The guys head turned to the side as he looked at Stiles and I.

"I'd run," said Stiles.

Stiles wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me to his side as the man stood up. I stared him down with fury, my teeth still out.

"And if you ever come back, I'll kill you in seconds."

The guy groaned and stumbled to his feet. He growled under his breath as he ran back out into the storm.

"Just to let you all know, I wouldn't actually kill him. I'm trying something new. If anything I'd just-"

"Babe, it's okay. We get it," Stiles interrupted.

Scott and Kira walked over to us three. I eyed them both to see if they were okay; which they seem to be.

Then everyone was looking at the other guy. A light bulb clicked on in my head and I realized it was that guy Kira and I saw in traffic. But that doesn't help our case cause I still don't know who the hell he is.

He smiled and walked up to us, "You don't remember me, do you? I guess I look a little different since the forth grade."

Scott's eyes widened as he gawked, "Theo?"

"You know him?" I asked.

"They used to," Theo answered. "Trust me, I never thought I'd see you guys again. A couple months ago, I heard of an alpha in Beacon Hills. When I found out his name was Scott McCall, just couldn't believe it. Not just an Alpha, but a True Alpha."

"What do you want?" Scott asked hesitantly.

Theo shrugged and shook his head, "I came back to Beacon Hills. Back home with my family. Because I want to be a part of your pack.

I don't know if it's just me, but this guy is sending off some weird signals. I mean, I know I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but right now I just threw the book in the trash.

***

"We haven't seen this kid in years. You don't find that highly suspicious?" Stiles whispered to Scott.

"I'm kind of more concerned about the guy who just tried to kill me."

"Thank God," Lydia said walking in front of us, with Malia. "Where have you guys been? The whole senior class is here. Are we doing this or not?"

Everyone looked at Malia. She was staring at her phone intently. Then, it buzzed.

"I'm in! I passed," I walked over to her and gave her a hug. "I'm officially a senior."

"Let's go!" I said excitedly.

Stiles hand locked onto mine as we made our way through the school. As we were walking I gave Lydia a side hug because I missed her dearly. We talked maybe once over the summer.

I can't believe it. We're here. We're seniors.

We pushed through the doors of the library and shuffled our way through our fellow classmates. We walked up the stairs to the second level of the school and waited in line to sign our initials.

Lydia and Kira went first, then they passed it to me. I looked around at the other shelves of initials. My eyes stopped at "D.H."

I stared at them for a second before I shook my head and signed 'BH'. Then I passed it to Stiles.

After Stiles signed, he stood right beside me, pulling me into his chest. Malia took her turn then came Scott.

He put his initials then he paused for a second then wrote 'AA', for Allison Argent.

"She would have been with us," said Stiles.

"She still is," Lydia smiled.

And there it was. Finally. It felt like this huge weight had finally been lifted off my shoulders. I don't feel it anymore. The guilt and shame. I feel... tranquility.
