《The Devil I Love | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 30: How I Feel About You

The trio made it to a grill restaurant where they longed to order many drinks and eat as much as they could to celebrate a long and busy week. As soon as they arrived at the restaurant, they were seated at a table of four chairs while Taehyung sat across from Yoongi and Jungkook. Of course, Jungkook made sure he sat next to the one he hoped to bond with from the very beginning. Only believing that tonight will be the night he will finally get to know so much more.
When they began to order many drinks and the pork belly for the grill that stood at the center of their table, Jungkook tried his best to figure out how to contain himself when he drinks. He knew overstepping his boundaries will only complicate the night further if he wasn't careful, but it wasn't going to be easy for a man like him not to turn down a drink. After a long week of hard work, Jungkook longed to let loose for the night and enjoy a bottle or two. His worrisome thoughts were pending to fly over his head in seconds.
"Ah, I am so glad we were able to go out, just the three of us! If only all of us could get drunk tonight," Taehyung mentioned and listened to Yoongi scoff in seconds.
"At the same time, I'm glad I won't be drinking much tonight. I know you have a knack at over drinking in a way of showing off, Taehyung!" Yoongi teased. Listening to Jungkook laugh and turn his head to the older man sitting right by him.
"You would be surprised at how bad Taehyung could handle a drink. Just a few shots and he's gone!"
"What?! No..." Taehyung shot back and leaned back against the chair and shook his head quickly. "I'll have you know, I'm a King when it comes to drinking. All my friends said so, I just took so much on that night we went clubbing, Jungkook! I promise!" Taehyung continued and listened to Yoongi laugh.
Jungkook wanted to continue teasing Taehyung, but he kept looking over at Yoongi each time he spoke and enjoyed the sight of his innocent smile to his pale face. Who would have thought that a man so professional and hardworking would be this great to be around? Jungkook knew this was where his stability stood and all the simple parts of his life relied when the storm outside only confused him even more. Having an admiration towards Yoongi supplied him with a sturdy mindset and inspired him to work hard each and every day even when he became lazy when he was distracted by Jimin.
"Jungkook," Yoongi called out and broke Jungkook free from his thoughts almost instantly. Leaving the young man to turn red at the face and flinch. "I feel bad that I haven't spoken to you or made any efforts to do so outside of work. In the environment of the workspace, I felt a little nervous to have my best face on at work!" Yoongi confessed and watched Jungkook tilt his head with a smile.
"I'm younger than you, if anything I would try my best to make sure I knew what I was doing each and every day. You two are older than me and I'm the boss... I feel like I have to be professional all the time," Jungkook answered as he looked over at Taehyung.

"Don't start, Jungkook! You haven't been professional lately, so it's great to see you have your moments of fun! You're a great friend, but being a boss lately seems to be difficult for you to keep up with." Taehyung's words left Jungkook raising a brow until he listened to Yoongi's voice add onto it.
"You shouldn't take it personal, no one is forcing you to be professional before us. It's okay to take time off and procrastinate a little. No one is going to hold it against you as of right now. You're still a young man, learn to have some fun and not be so uptight with yourself!" Yoongi eased Jungkook's mind. Somehow his stability left him silencing his thoughts for the night and allowing him to enjoy the moment.
Carefully, Yoongi patted the young man's back as the bottles finally arrived at the table along with the raw pork belly for the grill. Throughout that very moment, Jungkook watched Yoongi smile and laugh at the stories Taehyung told the two. Could this be Jungkook finally learning Yoongi's true character? If so, the young man enjoyed it so far and felt guilty that he didn't push himself to know the man sooner.
Funny and happy conversations continued as the bottles on the table began to multiply after a while of sitting and celebrating. By now, Yoongi set down his last bottle and counted the seconds until Taehyung began to look at the sizzling pork belly on the grill excitedly like a child. He smiled and couldn't listen to Jungkook's words in the conversation the three were sharing.
"So it took a while for my parents to support me, but they did in the end!" Jungkook added and continued to drink. Being able to handle the amount of alcohol he took in unlike Taehyung who was already smiling to himself and closing his eyes. Nodding to anything the others said to him. "Taehyung?" Jungkook called out and laughed as Yoongi snapped his fingers in front of him. Causing the young man to laugh as well.
"Holy shit, Taehyung, that was only two bottles, are you drunk already?" Yoongi teased and covered his face right after. "Jungkook, you won this round," Yoongi mentioned and watched how Jungkook took in his next gulp from the bottle he carried in his hands. "Ah, you're going to get drunk too and my hour of babysitting will start soon."
"What?! Don't be ridiculous, Yoongi! I'm not a baby, I'm a good boy!" Taehyung persisted and continued to let out giggles while he slid a grilled and sizzling pork belly wrapped in lettuce into his mouth.
"Yes you are, Taehyung..." Yoongi agreed and watched Taehyung blush. Just then, Jungkook began to blink and flutter his eyes at the sight of the bottle before setting it down. His face turned pink and he let out a sigh, standing up instantly and allowing the intoxication to hit instantly. As soon as he stood up, he rolled his blond hair back and instantly felt the world around him spin until he caught the attention of Yoongi. "Fuck... not you too, Brother!" Yoongi called out and watched Jungkook raise a brow at that word and tilt his head to look at the man sitting right by him.

"Brother?!" Jungkook asked as Yoongi sat him down and let out a laugh at the young man. "BROTHER? No... No, I'm Jungkook!" Jungkook continued as Yoongi noticed that Jungkook was already slipping away and getting drunk after taking in many bottles. Completely forgetting how vulnerable he could be when he drinks too much.
"Yes, you are... here, drink some water and eat more. All I've seen you do was drink and resist eating anything! Jungkook, you need to think sometimes!" Yoongi chuckled and handed Jungkook a cup of water as Taehyung was now in his own little world; resting his head down and eating a small piece of lettuce.
Jungkook accepted the water and looked at Yoongi; turning the pork belly he grilled and let sizzle at the moment. Leaving Jungkook to think more on the name he was continuously called by the older man he admired, until it couldn't be slipped into his drunk mind anymore. Jungkook's feelings towards that name only began to surface without his real self even knowing it. At the end of the day, he was already drunk and there was no point of return now.
"Yoongi..." Jungkook said into a sigh and leaned back on his chair to shake his head while he watched the older toy with the meat set over the grill in hopes of distracting Jungkook's drunk mind. He somehow knew where this was going and longed to stop him before the night became even more awkward for the older man.
"What is it?"
"Why do you call me your brother when we... we aren't... close? All... all we've ever been was in a boss and... employee relationship..." Jungkook's words began to slow down as he tried to keep his body still, but his head continued to spin and his focus only remained on Yoongi.
"Well, I wouldn't want to exclude you from that. You're a great boy, Jungkook. I know we will get to know each other more, but tonight... I already feel closer to you than before." Yoongi tried to soothe Jungkook's drunken thoughts and be kind as he took care of his boss and his friend sitting across from him and chewing on a piece of lettuce.
"I don't... I don't like that word, Yoongi... I don't like that... word!" Jungkook continued as he reached for the bottle of soju behind Yoongi's back and drank more. Knowing Yoongi was too distracted trying to pay attention to the meat he was grilling at the moment. "I don't want to be called a ...brother... t-to you..."
"Why... is that?" Yoongi asked as he finally turned over to Jungkook. Holding a look of concern and worry for the young man. Believing that out of all the places in life, he shouldn't be hearing this from Jungkook here and now. Especially when he was drunk and had already clocked out of his stable mind until after the alcohol fled from his body. "Jungkook, let's not do this he-"
"Yoongi, you're so smart!"
"Oh, god...please not here..."
"You are my motivation to work hard and I... I feel as if you give me a sense of stability! My life... it's in so much confusion... I want it to be simple.. I want it to be hardworking and different from what I've been feeling these past few weeks. I just want to go back to how things were... but if I did I wouldn't be this close to you, won't I?!" Jungkook asked with a smile as he patted Yoongi's back. Not realizing how Yoongi flinched and nervously smiled.
"Maybe we should end the night here!"
"No... no! I.. I have been waiting to at least see you outside of.. of the.. work... –what do you call it?– The workplace...! There we go, ah... yes.. I wanted to hang out with you but I never got the chance! We should hang out more often, I swear!" Jungkook rambled on as Taehyung closed his eyes over the table and was now holding onto the another piece of lettuce he was hoping to chew on next.
"Well, we will hang out again soon, I promise. Oh, I see that Taehyung is getting sleepy, so why don't we-"
"Yoongi..." Jungkook said the older man's name again and rested his head on his own hands as he continued to look at the young man. "You're such a hardworking employee... it's one of the many things I like about you, Yoongi!"
"I'm flattered... but we should really be going!"
"No... I feel like if I don't tell you this now, I'll never do it again!" Jungkook whispered and dropped his hand over Yoongi's shoulder. Gaining all of his attention right after. "Yoongi... I enjoy being around you every time..."
"Ah... thank you, I can say the same thing!" Yoongi mentioned and finally looked at the drunk man before sliding his cup of water towards his boss. "Sober up, now... please?"
"Oh, you're not listening to me! Yoongi... listen... I wanted to say that I... I like you so much! Ever since the day I hired you, you have always been such a hardworking employee and I admire that from you!" Jungkook said with a smile. Not realizing the weight of his words and how it could affect this friendship he was hoping to build up with Yoongi.
"Jungkook..."
"And I know... I know it's not appropriate! But I like you... I do! This is how I feel about you, Yoongi... I like you."
Yoongi sighed and closed his eyes for a moment before turning his body to face Jungkook. Careful resting his hands over the drunk man's shoulders and looking him in the eyes at that very moment to say what was on his mind right there. Not wanting to regret saying anything else so he thought of his words well before he could say it to the fragile and drunken man.
"Jungkook, I know."
