《The Devil I Love | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 27: A 'Special' Relationship

Jungkook nodded his head. Dismissing how jealous he felt when his crush was so dedicated to having Hoseok work here. However, he would normally feel ashamed or even embarrassed, yet, he seemed calm on the outside but kept a hint of jealousy. That side that clung onto Yoongi for a sense of stability in his life, became jealous in seconds.
"Alright, I'll give it a look so send it to my email and maybe later on if I have time, I'll call you in for an interview. Just give me a moment. When Taehyung wants to take a break, let me know so I can help him out, okay?" Jungkook requested as Yoongi only smiled and agreed with a nod to his head. Dismissing him with no other words to add onto the conversation.
Normally, Yoongi wouldn't be this happy and would be working most of the time. Jungkook walked off and almost didn't want to leave when the smile on his crush's face was visible. However, he didn't think he had it in himself to stay and watch the two further, so he excused himself as he walked into the surveillance room to access the resume through there.
Jungkook threw himself onto the chair and sat back silently with a cold stare at the surveillance for the lobby. He watched Hoseok and Yoongi talk and was a little envious he couldn't carry a conversation with Yoongi like that. It was like he noticed a different man before his very eyes. Was this the hardworking man he wanted? Jungkook didn't see the hint of the silent and hardworking character Yoongi displayed before so he was a little confused since that was the one Jungkook admired. Since he didn't know enough about the man, he didn't know Yoongi was such a happy and talkative person.
Jeon Jungkook didn't expect himself to feel this way, to feel envious, jealous even. He stared at Hoseok and pulled up his resume on the monitor to see more about him. Out of the year he developed his admiration for Yoongi, he just didn't expect to feel like this towards a friend of Yoongi's. His desperation for a stable mind that tended to get in between his work always tended to leave him anxiously looking for a resolution.
"They're just friends..." Jungkook assured himself as he then shrugged it off right after and looked down at the two letters Jimin sent with the roses. "If I... If I ever develop something with Yoongi... What am I going to do with you?" Jungkook asked, thinking of Jimin in silence. "We are just 'special' friends after all... no feelings attached so I know you wouldn't mind if I want to stop," Jungkook thought and set the letters down to then look up at the monitor where he watched Hoseok lean over the front desk and make a big smile at Yoongi.
It was as if the smile he gave to the man meant so much more than a friendship. Jungkook continued to stare and tilt his head, not knowing that his phone began to chime with messages from Jimin. He was just too immersed into the sight of Yoongi being so happy with Hoseok. He never saw this before so this was the first time and it made him feel off the more he stared.

"I don't understand... I get like this when someone talks to Yoongi and makes him laugh but on the other hand, I'm here fucking someone else as if it doesn't distract me from the one I want," Jungkook scolded himself and pulled his gaze away from the live surveillance footage and stared at the letters. "I just love making things difficult for myself, don't I?" He whispered and finally opened the first letter Jimin left with the roses to get his mind off of the two.
Jungkook read the letter before staring at the live surveillance and looking at the big bouquet of roses set in the lobby with the other on the front desk as well. He couldn't help but to feel as if they were too elegant to be sitting at the lobby like that, the young photographer just knew two huge bouquets must have had a heavy price tag. Jungkook let out a sigh before opening the next letter and instantly met with a check that caused his doll-like eyes to widen.
Instantly, Jungkook let out a laugh and covered his face before turning red at the wave of embarrassment he received instantly.
"Oh, if he keeps sending me things like this I'll assume he's obsessed with me!" Jungkook mentioned before folding the letter up and setting it back into the envelope. "Imagine if someone else was to see the words he writes! Ah, Jimin is a clingy little devil, isn't he?" Jungkook rambled on in his mind before looking at his phone to see that he already texted him. "Spoke too soon~"
Did you get the roses I sent you? If you did, call me, I'm on break.
Jungkook looked towards the door and back at the monitor to make sure no one else would step in before he took Jimin up on that offer. In seconds, he leaned back against the chair and stared at the check he received. However, he didn't have to wait long since the moment the model's phone rang, Jimin answered so abruptly.
"Jungkook, I'm so glad you called!" Jimin said into the call with a daring whisper that made Jungkook raise a brow. "So you received the roses, do you like them?"
"Oh... they're really huge.. and I also read the letters too... are you obsessed with me?" Jungkook asked teasingly and listened to Jimin's soft giggles that unexpectedly made him smile to himself.
"Let's go with that~"
"I also received the check. You don't have to pay me back for something I wanted to pay. I know you're older than me, but it's fine. I can manage," Jungkook mentioned and set the check into the envelope once more. "I also don't think expensive roses fit in with my studio, I'm flattered but, to spend so much on roses and not have any plans on stopping? Jimin, you're very careless."
"Oh, Jungkook... are you scolding me?~ I don't appreciate it over the phone. You might as well say it to my face and maybe then I'll put it into consideration. Until then, I won't take it seriously," Jimin continued and made Jungkook scoff to himself as he held the same smile he was making into the call. "How are you doing? Am I on your mind today?"

"Let's go with that~" Jungkook repeated Jimin and listened to his giggles right after. "Your support has been so good to the company, I actually have a busy day for once. We're booked with appointments, I still can't believe it," Jungkook told Jimin happily. "I just wish I could put in more work, I feel like I've been getting lazy. Ever since I met you all I did was stay in my thoughts; trying to organize every bubble that was formed in there. Jimin, what are you doing to me?~ I'm not as innocent and hardworking as I was before."
"You make it seem as if you aren't doing the same to me too. I had a delay on yesterday's photoshoot since it consisted of me having to run through a field. I could barely even stand up in the morning and had to explain it to Namjoon in the most innocent way ever. But, I don't think he bought it since he knew I left the club with you... he's extremely intelligent if he caught onto that so quickly. Worst part was having to tell my....director... why.. I was delaying many things... I didn't tell him about us but coming up with an excuse was difficult. That man is too persistent and hard to lie to..."
Jungkook noted how Jimin slowed down at that topic and longed to ask right there. The younger one sat up the moment Jimin mentioned it and hoped to see what else Jimin could say about it. But silly Jungkook for thinking Jimin would budge at such a personal topic he longed to protect Jungkook from.
"He can't be that bad... he's just the director. You're the idol, surely you have a bit of control right? I don't think he would ever force the truth out of you. And if this is delaying many things, maybe... we shouldn't meet so ofte-"
"NO! I-I don't mean that it's delaying anything! I delayed it myself... I'm the one pushing stuff back... it... it... it's complicated," Jimin sputtered. Completely skipping over Jungkook's first comment and question. "Ah... Jungkook, I don't want to stop seeing you... but if I get really busy, please know that I have to handle work on my end."
Jungkook was still curious on why those words caused Jimin to become so anxious. Was seeing less of the young photographer something Jimin feared? Jungkook couldn't tell the reason why when they were just fuck buddies and nothing more. Did Jimin truly understand the meaning of this 'special' relationship? Of course he did... he knew so much more about it but hid his knowledge from Jungkook in hopes of keeping him in his life longer.
"Your life comes first before anything, Jimin. I wouldn't want you to put me first at all because, let's be honest, we don't really know much about each other and it's fine since we have a special relationship. But if you ever put me before yourself, I wouldn't want to stay... I want you to take care of yourself for me, please?" Jungkook asked. Revealing the hint of care he had towards the one he would share heavy breaths and touches during a passionate session.
Jungkook didn't think much into his own words since he knew he had to care for the one he touched every now and then, but to Jimin, the famous idol himself reminisced on those words and teared up. He grew emotional at the way Jungkook cared. Even if it didn't seem much to the young man, Jimin couldn't help but to try his best to silence his own cries. Just so he wouldn't have to explain why they were shed in the first place.
"Jungkook..."
"I'm serious. What even is a 'special' relationship if someone in it treasures the other more than himself? I may have never... ever... been in a relationship like this before but its not right to do this to yourself... especially with eyes all around you. Don't forget what I said, Jimin," Jungkook mentioned as Jimin smiled to himself and wiped his own tears on his own end as he sat at the center of his empty bed.
Jimin longed to say so much to that. He wanted to keep him for his kind words and happy memories he gave him, but Jimin washed off the words from his mind the moment his mouth caved open. Refusing to tell even more as Jungkook waited for a response. Not knowing that his silence only made Jungkook even more curious deep down when he really didn't want to be too nosy with the idol's life.
"Jimin?"
"Y-Yeah... I hear you. I won't forget," Jimin mentioned and quickly shifted the conversation after. Making sure nothing was left to continue the conversation in this direction for his sake. "Jungkook, don't be afraid to let me know when you want to see me. Just call me or send me a text, I'll check if I have time for it in the day or maybe we could meet in the middle of the night," Jimin concluded and listened to the younger hum in agreement. "I will be expecting it. I'll speak with you soon, I have so much to do today... have a great day at work, Jungkook. Bye."

He saw a dull pair of scissors on the sink to his right and decided to get to work.Update: I deleted some of the extremely detailed descriptions in the first chapter because the goal of the chapter wasn't really to gross people out. It was to show detail to what triggered Kyrie to do what he did.
