《The Devil I Love | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 1: Big News

A quick flash filled the room in a second followed by the shutter of a camera right after. As soon as a picture was taken, a young man in his early twenties, stepped back and tilted his head as he stared into the small screen over his camera just to observe the many recent pictures closely. After inspecting it further, a bunny-like smile erupted from his snowy skin as his bright eyes lit up at the sight. It was moments like these that made the young photographer fall deeply in love with the work he set out for himself.

Of course, the young and charming photographer who grew to love his art was none other than a twenty four year old man named Jeon Jungkook; an indie photographer who worked day and night to get to where he was now and hopefully grow further with his business. Aside from all the success he managed with the help around him, he wasn't really well known just yet. His talent had yet to take him so far but as of right now, he loved each and every one of his clients because there were new faces coming into his studio every day. Business was never too low, but also never too hectic. It was just right.

"These are amazing! That wraps up the shoot for today. Thank you all for choosing 'The Golden Closet Studios' for your family pictures! Payment and previews will be available at the front desk," spoke the man in such an ecstatic voice erupting from his smile. As he stepped back, he watched the family of four; a husband, a wife, and two young boys step out of the room wearing their best and formal clothings for this special occasion.

Jungkook followed behind the family and stepped out where they awaited to see their pictures. He then met with a pale man at the front desk to hand him the SD card holding all the pictures of this appointment. There he stood at the front desk, the handsome man named Min Yoongi. his skin was as pale as a clean sheet of paper, his silk hair was as dark as the night that also brought out the darker shades to his beautiful, brown, gaze. To everyone, they found him as the most independent and hardworking man to ever work with, but to Jungkook, he found him out to be so much more. He has been working with him for so long, he couldn't pinpoint the moment he began to notice his charms. But he couldn't tell if Yoongi felt the same, nor if he was available to him in such a way. Jeon Jungkook was very shy when it came to his confronting his own feelings just like this.

"These shots are perfect!" Claimed the mother of the small family as the father only nodded his head in approval.

While the client continued to talk about which photos she wanted framed to the man at the desk, Jungkook couldn't help but to smile and fidget with the cuffs of his striped white and blue dress shirt that was tucked into his blue denim pants. He stood there, smiling at the success of another day and the sound of the man he admired speaking so calmly to the clients in his low and gravelly voice. Jungkook had a soft spot for his employee, and didn't think there was another who would come in between the way he saw Min Yoongi. Many would fall for his looks, but he fell for his hardwork and quick thoughts when it came to business. That was Jungkook's type but relationships were something he wouldn't normally pursue after.

After the happy family made their purchases and left the studio, Jungkook was left in silence as he nervously scratched the undercut to his blond hair before turning his face to look at Yoongi as he was finishing up the order for the clients that just left.

"Today seems better than the last... I'm glad we had more clients today," Jungkook spoke up before turning around completely to set his hands over the counter and lean in to look at the computer screen.

"I can tell business has been doing much better than last week. At this rate, you'll be well-known in the area. Online, there's only good reviews on the studio," Yoongi mentioned as he looked up at his boss once and nodded his head before continuing to work. "We should thank Taehyung's hard work for wandering around and handing out flyers. Especially in this warm weather... it's not the best for him you know, but he manages to get it done for this place."

"Kim Taehyung, ah, he's a great worker and an extraordinary editor too. I think we've all been working very hard this week! We should go out and drink sometime, maybe when we're not too busy and maybe on a day where the studio isn't open."

"That's going to be difficult, there's only one day out of every week that it's not open and on that day Taehyung and I are too exhausted. We do have two jobs at the moment of course. But to make time for it, seems impossible. I'll have to let you know if I can get my schedule for the next few weeks in time."

"Oh, I forgot you two have other jobs... maybe I should hire more people... I would let my parents in on this but they're running their own business and my brother tends to help them out a lot. I'm on my own when it comes to this so I guess I should have someone to take some days off your shoulder..." Jungkook mentioned and tilted his head as he continued to gaze at the older man. "I should hire more people..."

"You do what's right. If you want to hire more people, you can do it. But all I know is that we can't have Taehyung wander up and down those streets handing out flyers all the time. He gets tired doing that too you kno-"

Abruptly, the doors to the entrance swung open and a loud thud echoed within the studio.

"FOOLS!" Shouted a man from the top of his lungs. There stood a young man wearing a loose white t-shirt, baggy sweatpants, and matching white sneakers. As the tall man stood there he caught the attention of Jungkook and within seconds, the duo by the front desk began to laugh at him

"Taehyung, you break another door it comes out of your paycheck!" Jungkook teased and watched the older step in and close the door behind him. "Is it getting too hot out there for you?"

"Yeah, I'm starting to get itchy, so I came back. I think I'm done for the day," Taehyung mentioned and walked forward before stretching. "How was business today?"

"It was amazing, we might drink when possible."

"Ah, I know I can't turn down a drink but I have another job and I-"

"We can work around the schedule! As we work here, I'll be sure to look into hiring more people, I promise! If business keeps up, I'll be able to hire a few part timers," Jungkook assured and turned his head to smile at Yoongi before he quickly turned to Taehyung just so he wouldn't make Yoongi uncomfortable for staring too long.

"Sounds like a great idea then. Hey, maybe you should try standing outside for once while I take pictures of the people. I don't think I could last out there with this summer weather..." Taehyung replied. Jungkook then nodded his head in assurance right after.

"Don't worry, I'll be sure to let you join me in here. Recently you've been doing such a great job! I don't think you'll need to stand out there anymore. You're doing great now and I think you could start taking pictures of others. You've come a long way and if anything, I'll be sure to make Yoongi stand out there-"

"Woah, hold on a minute, I'm fine where I stand!" Yoongi joked along and made Jungkook turn red at the sound of his own laughter as they teased.

"Well someone has to be out there every now and then when it gets busy! But it won't be me," Taehyung concluded and excused himself as he stepped into the employee room. Leaving the two alone once more.

"I will be more than happy to make hiring employees my priority! If I can't, I can go outside every now and then!" Jungkook quickly assured Yoongi and watched the older give out another gummy smile and turn his face away before laughing.

"You don't need to! If you love to take pictures of others, take pictures of them. It's not mandatory to have someone out there advertising the studio," Yoongi replied and continued to complete the order. "I know you want to be out there already and have millions lining up to be photographed by your own hands, but please don't forget to work at your own pace, Jungkook. Always remember that."

Jungkook listened to the wise words Yoongi had to say and let out an exhale before nodding his head. Then, he turned his head to the side where Yoongi resumed working and carefully watched the older man complete the order. Jungkook grew to admire the man's work ethics and couldn't help but to look up to him at times like these. Jungkook admired the guidance and his charms. But, he could never push himself to go any further with Min Yoongi. Of course, he refused to move further! He didn't want to change how close they were as a boss and a coworker. But along the way, he had those thoughts that doubted the idea. At times Jungkook wanted to make his move. But he stood there and held back every moment in fear of disrupting such a good friendship they shared and with that, it didn't cover up what he felt at the end of the day. Which made things a little difficult at times.

"I'll kick you if you keep staring at me like that," Yoongi spoke out and instantly Jungkook let out a laugh and shook his head right after. "You're staring a little too hard there, Boss."

"I-I.. I just like the way you work! I'm so proud of my team that's all... we've come a long way. Just the three of us and very soon I believe it's going to get better," Jungkook spoke softly and turned around to face towards the entrance of the studio.

"You should be. You made this possible with your own hands. To pursue something you enjoy and make all of this from it, is a thing not everyone could do. Your parents are so supportive and that's the best thing someone could have! It's going to get better from here. Business just has to go slow before it takes off, right?"

"Right..." Jungkook replied and smiled to himself as he looked out at the entrance to the studio. Everything he could have asked for was right in his hands. He wasn't known for this just yet, but he was on the right track and that's all he could ever want. A simple life that had yet to turn into something more.

Just as Jungkook continued to gawk at the entry of his studio he let out an exhale and longed to continue a conversation with Yoongi outside of the topic of work. Hopefully create a conversation that could carry its own without the help of others to initiate it. Jungkook was so interested in talking to Yoongi outside of a professional space, he would always hesitate. But with the atmosphere and the perfect moment, Jungkook wanted to jump at the opportunity while it was still open and deny the limit he always set for himself.

"Yoongi, you would say we're close... right?"

"Close?" Yoongi wondered and continued to type.

"Close, when it comes to the relationship a boss and an employee could have!" Jungkook pushed himself further and gulped before he could say what else surrounded his mind. His heart pounded in fear at this moment, but he knew if he was to ever capture a moment as perfect as this, it would be in his dreams. "I met you two years ago, and we get along fine... but I think we should talk more outside of a professional setting. You're-"

Abruptly the phone began to ring. At that moment, Jungkook closed his eyes and let out a sharp exhale so suddenly after getting interrupted by the phone call. At that moment, Jungkook re-thought his words and was a little glad he was interrupted. Even if he liked to jump at opportunities, he was a little intimidated by the way Yoongi was typing away to get the order finished while he spoke. Maybe the interruption was a blessing?

"Thank you for calling The Golden Closet Studios, how may I help you today?" Yoongi spoke into the phone and took a moment before he tilted his head to hear into the call. After a moment, his eyes blew wide and he quickly sat up, waving his hand up to get Jungkook's attention.

Quickly, Jungkook turned around and watched Yoongi's smile widen at the call. Who could it be? Jungkook was curious but at the same time, enjoyed the sight of the one he admired, getting so excited over a call.

"Yes, yes, this is the studio.... the head of the studio? Oh, yes, Jeon Jungkook... yes, he personally takes the photos himself.. he's very gifted!" Yoongi mentioned, not realizing how red the boy became at the kind words he overheard. "A-Ah... when's a great time? We-... oh we aren't really open on Sundays, but we can make an exception if it fits your schedule! We are more than happy to host the next photoshoot. But please know, we don't really have a huge crew and-...that... doesn't matter? You'll do it here anyway? We are so honored!"

After a good while as the conversation deepend, Yoongi continued to talk into the phone as Jungkook's mind became occupied with the curiosity of who was on the other side. This left the man to tilt his head and lean over in hopes of hearing something, but just as he continued to wonder, the call eventually came to an end.

"Oh, thank you so much! I'll be sure to set up your appointment early and you can walk right in. We'll be here!" Yoongi concluded and with that, he awaited the other to hang up first before quickly slamming the phone down. "Jungkook, we are officially open this Sunday!" Yoongi spoke out and made Jungkook raise a brow so suddenly. "Sorry to take matters into my own hands but you'll thank me later!"

"What do you mean? Who was that on the phone?"

"You're never going to believe it but it was the entertainment that manages the angel himself: Park Jimin!" Yoongi spoke out happily.

Park Jimin was known as the most handsome, adoring, lovable, and talented model there ever was. His looks, the sweet voice he carried and the innocent ways he behaved in the eyes of the world, left everyone around him at awe. The angel himself; a true blessing in the world's eyes who looked in his direction, was just a young twenty five year old man who resembled what everyone envisioned as the definition of perfection.

"Park Jimin? No... no... you're a liar!" Jungkook shouted out in disbelief followed by a laugh right after. "You're joking!"

"I'm not joking!"

Within seconds, the door to the employee's office swung open and out stepped Taehyung with a shocked look over his perfectly sculpted face.

"Cut the cameras, deadass!" Taehyung shouted before rushing to the counter where the two stood. "Why would a huge company call to make arrangements for a photoshoot here? Are we even that well-known here? How did a company as big as them catch wind of The Golden Closet Studios? And how will we be able to do this! Do you know how famous Park Jimin is?! ARE YOU AWARE THAT WE ARE ONLY THREE PEOPLE?!"

"You would think Park Jimin would have a big studio hosting his photoshoots, but that was the director of the entertainment calling to make arrangements! The director himself! I don't even think that's how it works but it had to be important if the director called! He mentioned that he was aware that we were a small business but he said Jimin was extremely interested in the pictures Jungkook takes! I don't know how he found out about us, but Jimin is persistent and hopefully they could be coming by Sunday to take these photos! But before that, a representative will come around and take a look at the studio."

"That's understandable, everyone knows that Jimin is the sweetest person that has ever walked this earth! He loves to support small businesses and young creators, so in a way, this is believable!" Taehyung added on.

"This... this is insane..." Jungkook whispered before leaning against the counter and rubbing his head. "Tell me this is all a dream!"

"It's not! This is big news!" Taehyung exclaimed and stepped closer to the young photographer before patting him on the back excitingly. "This could truly give us the exposure we need! If you can show Park Jimin what you can do, everyone will know the studio and your name!" He spoke and continued to pat Jungkook's back.

"Park Jimin...." Jungkook thought and smiled to himself over the good news. Knowing the celebrity but not enough to become a true fan. Never in his life did he think he would ever meet him at all.

To hear that a famous, gorgeous, precious and angelic man like Jimin was coming to such a small business to support and have his photos taken was all too overwhelming to Jungkook and gave him so much pressure... but the more he thought about it, the more he was willing to relax over the idea and try his best. Even if it was an extremely big deal, Jungkook just took one look at his team and automatically knew that this was going to be the studio's big break.
