CHAPTER FOUR
I crashed into my bed as soon as I got home, used the intercom to call for coffee as I was too tired to make some myself. I received a text from an unknown number, I had not even given anyone my number yet.
"hey what's up its Cass"
How did she even get my number, is this girl creepy or what.
"xup Cass I didn't know I gave you my number"
She replied almost immediately
"well you didn't but your dad gave me his so I asked for yours. So I was thinking, since tomorrow is a Saturday, wanna hangout?"
"yeah sure no problem, time?"
"10:am I'll come to your house"
"okay bye"
When she meant hangout she meant come to my house to explore, wow. At least I wouldn't be home alone with cooks when my dad goes out to work tomorrow. My coffee arrived a little later than I expected but what can I say, I was the one too lazy to go downstairs
"thank you Bernard" I said as I collected the tray from the middle aged man. He even added biscuits, incredible. My eyes were beginning to water and the only thing that touched me this way was food.
Twigs snapping, leaves cracking, I was in the woods running as fast as I could in a direction it seemed I knew. Someone stopped me from running and held my face. I looked up and it was my mother. Then she said to me
"you want to play hide and seek with mummy"
That was not the time for hide and seek, I mean she was dead or supposed to be dead at least.
"why did you go" I asked sobbing
"my child I didn't mean to I..." her words drifted

Slowly she started fading away with the wind. I tried to hold her hand to avoid it but she just turned to dust and disappeared. I called out to her to come back so many times but no sign of her. My knees gave way and I just fell on the ground making the dry leaves crack below me
I woke up sweating profusely and feeling very tired. That was a very unusual dream. I had dreamt of seeing my mum a few times after she died but none felt like this. I checked my watch and it was already ten minutes past seven Saturday morning. My night must have just felt really short then.
Cassandra came as planned, in tracksuits and sneakers like she was going for a morning walk. She was let in by one of the workers downstairs where I came to meet her.
"yo what's up girl" that was me trying to sound the very least American
"whoa stop, you sound sick" she did not mean that as a compliment
"yeah I know it's not working, I stayed up hours trying to talk like you guys and so far zero progress"
She laughed hysterically as she walked straight to the fridge as if she were here to inspect it. She pulled out a bowl of ice cream and settled herself with a spoon.
"what about your mum, is she outta town or something?" she asked as she stuffed her mouth
"we don't talk about her"
"is she dead? Mine died two years ago" she said without any much care
Noticing my reluctance to answer she quickly changed the subject
"your house is huge, I'm kinda surprised we attend the same school, does your dad own Google or something?"
"my mum committed suicide and its been less than two months" I said without thinking twice
"Suicide? That's huge, did she leave like a note or something. In detective shows suicide victims usually leave a note to their family" she said looking a bit too serious for her person
"No she didn't and nobody understands why she did it because she had no problems at all" I said with a sigh
"and you believe it was a suicide?" She said as though it was ridiculous for me to believe what I was told
"What?"
Here's the end of chapter fou.

One day, out of boredom, he mindlessly wrote a fantasy novel filled with numerous clichés and superfluous conflicts. However, he never imagined he would be reincarnated into that world after his death. No, not as the protagonist, not even as an important supporting character, but instead, he became a mob in his novel. Will Arthur use his abilities and knowledge as the author to make the right decisions and make it through the end, despite the fact that there was a greater, more powerful threat that he was unaware of even as the author? ==========-I will also be posting it on Webnovel, Scribblehub, and Tapas (TBA) under the same name
