《Hamilton One Shots》The Proposal (Alex x Eliza)

Alexander and I are walking in the park tonight, but I'm not entirely sure why. I do have a sneaking suspicion... oh, I don't know. Maybe.
We're walking, taking in the sights of the park.
"Eliza do you like it in the park? It's quiet in the park." He says, holding my hand.
I nod, blushing. God, how does he do this to me? Everytime I see him it feels like the first time. I can't even talk to him without blushing uncontrollably. I've never felt this way about anyone else. I wish he'd just propose and get it over with. He means everything to me.
He leads me over to a bench and we sit down. I run my free hand over the bench, and remember that it's the same one that Angelica, Peggy and I used to play on when we were little. I smile. I look up at Alexander and see that he's smiling too. His face suddenly gets serious. He looks deep in thought. I love that expression on him. No, I love everything about him. He shifts his body in the seat. Then, in one swift motion, he slides off the bench and gets down on one knee.
)
My breath hitched. My eyes widened. A smile crept across my face.
"Eliza, I don't have dollar to my name, and acre of land, a troop to command, a dollop of fame."
"All I have's my honor, a tolerance for pain, a couple of credits, and my top notch... brain". He ticked off on his fingers. I giggled like a little girl.
"Insane, your family brings out a different side of me. Peggy confides in me, Angelica tried to take a bite of me". Arggh, Angelica! I tried, but I was too happy to scowl. I'll chew Angelica out later.

"No stress, my love for you is never in doubt". Good. I might be being a bit not-trusting of my fiancé, but it does worry me that he's so attractive. I remember the night I met him at my father's ball. The girls couldn't stay off of him. But I love him, and hopefully thats enough.
"We'll get a little place in Harlem and we'll figure it out. I've been living without a family since I was a child". God, my poor Alexander. That must have been so hard on him. As a child, I always had my parents and siblings to lean on.
"My father left, my mother died, I grew up buckwild, but I'll never forget my mother's face, that was real." He pulled a box out of his jacket.
"And long as I'm alive Eliza, swear to God you'll never feel so helpless-" I cut him off as I jumped into his arms, almost knocking him to the ground. I smiled from ear to ear. I've never been this happy in my life. "I do, I do, I do, I dooooo" I trilled.
"I do, I do, I do, I do!"
"Never felt so-"
"Yeeaaah!" I spun in his arms, keeping him as close as possible. We danced in the park, and spent the whole night never ceasing to touch each other in some way. Wow. Finally, I get to call the love of my life mine.

The Great Erectus and Faun
The Great Erectus, otherwise known as "The Big Guy" is NOT a god. Don't call him that. It will tick him off. He and his newfound apprentice/sidekick the definitely not a creation goddess Faun have a little problem. The Big Guy's universe is blowing up. Faun might have had something to do with that. (She feels awful about it BTW) They must rush about the unraveling universe saving (or judging) worlds as the end of all things is bearing down upon them at the speed of light, so they have a bit of time but really can't mess about. Along the way they will encounter Lovecraftian horrors, divine ex-girlfriends, surly AI's and a host of other hassles. Enjoy such delights as the complete destruction of the universe, a children's "Christmas pageant" except where "the greatest story ever told" involves an eldritch horror from another universe, and an innocent misunderstanding concerning the exact definition of a "red dwarf". Existential dread! Lovecraftian comedy! It's as much madness as can be shoved into a single work and still remotely make sense! If you enjoy completely off the hook lunacy, this one is for you!
